Stumbled upon this place walking around and it did not disappoint! Had a poutine and a beer and loved everything so much! Service was also amazing and it was such a cute roomy spot. They were even brewing beer while we were there so we were watching that through the glass. Definitely recommend.

This was a pit spot for me and I'm so glad I stopped. The porter was the perfect thirst quenching drink. I was able to rest and gather my thoughts, before my next stop in Montreal. It was getting busy as I was leaving on a Thursday late afternoon.

Upscale brewery comfortable surroundings with excellent selections of in-house brews. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very helpful and friendly staff. Oh and the beer is delicious.

Wow. Amazing place and lived up to reputation. Great service and ambiance. Beer is top notch and rivals jester king even. Even picked up a bottle of cantillon here!

Super cool spot at night to go out, the space is so unique and beautifully done, and it has a great ambiance and energy. Never eaten there so can't attest to that. It's not my #1 spot in the city but it's def worth a visit!

I had a friend in town visiting that likes beer so obviously, I had to take her to one of the OG spots. DDC is a classic and I've been here many times. We dropped in on a late Monday evening and the place was packed! I shouldn't have been surprised but almost all the tables were full and it was 10:00pm. Cool that you can see what's in development and what's almost ready to drink. The beers available is up on the walls. One in the front and another in the back. - 5x Degustation ($2.50 each) - we decided to share and sample five beers. My favourite was the raspberry sour wheat (#6) while my friend enjoyed the Belgian hibiscus wheat (#7). We also tried the imperial coffee stout (#17), lime and juniper berry white beer (#14) and cocoa & vanilla stout (#5).

Do not waste your time walking up and down Saint-Laurent for a good bar. Dieu du Ciel has an amazing selection of beers with "tasting" sizes that are double the size of the average flight cup. My boyfriend and I sampled the aphrodisiac, hibiscus, kolsh, apricot,, and porter beers. All of them had a unique flavor of their own but I personally feel in love with the apricot! Aside from the amazing beers this bar has a romantic European feel that is like non other! It was perfect for a date night or even for a night to reunite with old friends. The music is chill and not to aloud allowing for conversations where you don't have to scream across the table

Rosé hibiscus! Yes thats their USP... But what else Is there? The local vibes! An all time happening place. Any day of the year, this place is full of crowd. The local people come here to gather and of-course drink on-tap beers. Sometimes their DJ and live music which add to the fun. They have like 50 varieties of beer that they produce in-house and all of them have a unique aroma. You will be surprised! They offer some food but kitchen is not open late night.

Great artisanal beer selection! This little place may be a little overshadowed by Siboire but it's one of the best spots in the area for real locally brewed beer. All kinds are on tap! Some of which only come in glasses, not pints, which they kindly mark on the wall. My favorite may be a strong 9.5% stout that is only in a glass, but it's really good. Their IPAs, I'm told, are some of the best around. Their drinks rotate fairly regularly and they have a really cool section glassed off where you can see the fermentation tanks, and a list They also serve food. The snacks are always on the menu but big meals are in rotation. Their soups are usually really good too, I had a ham and vegetable soup that was delightful. I'm a fan of their nachos too, always well heated and you get a lot of cheese which is annoyingly rare in bars. They also serve Bourbons and rotate a few wines. The only downsides I'd say is that the place is small, maybe a little too dimly lit, and I always struggle to read the boards which list the beers they have. But honestly, it's just nitpicking. The servers are nice, the beer is great, and I alternate between here and Siboire all the time. It's really worth checking out for artisanal beers.

Wide varieties of beers from ales to lagers to stouts and sours. If you can't find a beer that you enjoy here, you're not trying hard enough. Came here one afternoon and had their meat flatbread which was really delicious. My friends had sandwiches which they also liked and the table next to us enjoyed their charcuterie plate. The beer here is well crafted and unique and it pairs nicely with the food they have on offer. This place is a must visit when in Montreal. I've been here on a Saturday night and it is packed so get there early.

Bustling vibe/atmosphere. Typical microbrewery feel with a solid beer selection and several food items to choose from. Pretty full even midweek. Rosée D'Hibiscus - Blanche d'Hibiscus (White Wheat Beer, 5.9%), light, refreshing, notes of citrus and hibiscus, crisp, extremely easy to drink, light sour bite Synergie 1: Passion Houblon - Passionfruit IPA (5.3%), easy to drink, refreshing, barely hoppy, notes of passionfruit; quite light for an IPA

We were originally over by the Jean-Talon Market, and since we were staying downtown we wanted to find somewhere on our way back. Brutopia fit the bill, so off we went. I really liked the vibes as soon as we entered - the place isn't too large, but still spacious enough to have two semi-split up rooms. We stayed in the front room that housed the bar, some tables, as well as a small stage where (I assume) live music plays. The decor had somewhat of a music theme, as one of the walls was covered in pictures of famous artists. We had a round - I'm not the biggest beer person but had a cider which was good. We also split a poutine - we opted for the popcorn chicken one which was tasty. Everyone was really friendly, and we were even talking it up with a fellow patron who was also from New York. Service was great, and although it was only a short stay, I had a good experience at Brutopia. I wouldn't hesitate to return next time I'm in the area.

We chose a table near a window and the waitress brought over the menus right away. We ordered some wine, an order of wings and an order of Patron tacos. The tacos were corn and the fillings were plentiful with beef and onion. The only things missing were some veggies and dip with the wings and something fresh with the tacos like a pico de gallo. Regardless, we really enjoyed the food and the waitress was friendly and very efficient. We would definitely come back.

The Brisket Sandwich and Fries were on point as well - great burger bun with generous portions of 24-hr smoked Brisket and Cheese! Fries were not greasy and utterly tasty. I have now had poutine from several places in the city, and this would be middle of the road for me. It was tasty and quality, but nothing too exciting.
