I used Sonic Auto Transport (BROKER) and they got Diesel Auto Express to transport my vehicle from Silverdale, WA, to Oceanside, CA. My vehicle was picked up on June 30, 2026, and was finally delivered on July 23, 2026. The original delivery date I was given was July 4. The delivery was then postponed to July 11, then postponed again to July 18, and then I was told it would be delivered on July 20. The vehicle was ultimately delivered on July 23. Each time the delivery date was postponed, I was given different explanations, including that they had a new driver or were waiting for a truck and that the vehicle would be delivered on the newly promised date. Unfortunately, those dates continued to change. I understand that unexpected problems can happen in the vehicle transportation business, but having my delivery date changed four times was extremely frustrating and stressful. My vehicle was in their possession for more than three weeks, and I was left repeatedly waiting and wondering when I would actually receive it. The vehicle was eventually delivered on July 23, but the overall experience was much more stressful than it needed to be. The biggest issue for me was the repeated postponements and the lack of a reliable delivery schedule. Based on my personal experience, I would recommend considering other vehicle transport companies before choosing Diesel Auto Express. If you do decide to use them, be prepared for the possibility of significant delays and changes to your delivery date. The man was driving through icy conditions on the way to Texas, so I was praying for him the entire time. He even shared his location with my son, which was a huge comfort. Overall he delivered on the day he said he would deliver. Delivery was also a couple hours later than estimated thanks to traffic--but no surprises, no drama, and most importantly: the truck arrived safe and sound. Bottom line: this experience went way better than expected. Clear communication, honest pricing, and people who actually do what they say they'll do. Horrible service. Run now before you book. If this would allow 0 stars I would give them a negative number. We scheduled our car to be shipped across the country from Florida to New Mexico. This was the 3rd party service, day of service no one contacted us, we waited around for hours and had to leave the vehicle in the care of our apartment complex due to us moving that day. No calls no notifications to follow up and they continually did not answer the phone. Finally someone answered and said our carrier was "stuck in traffic" but would be there the following day. Fine, but frustrating. The next day comes, again no communication or calls and they would not answer the phone, straight to voicemail throughout the entire business day. Finally we get in touch and again they make an excuse and say our carrier is "on a plane". At this point we're concerned no one is coming. Again they have never reached out to keep us updated. Now we're 3 days late and they say the carrier will come the next day at 6am. Around 8am he tells us he's coming to pick up the car but we cancelled the trip. So unreliable I doubt our car would ever make it to the final destination. Still awaiting our refund which I'm sure will be another adventure, hopefully it comes. read more

The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because it was two days late, but mainly they told me two times a window of 9-1 and it didn't show up till 4pm. I took work off that day and didn't have to. Transported 2 cars and damaged both. They will not pay for the damage. Driver threatened us, insisted on delivery at 11pm in pouring rain so damage was almost impossible to see. Their before and after pictures clearly show damage. Was turned into their insurance but they have a $5,000 deductible. Damage is $4500. Diesel refuses to pay. read more

If I could leave NO stars I would. I am a 23 yr retired veteran on a fixed income that put my trust in Diesel Auto Express to move my truck. NEVER TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY. I had my new truck transported from TX to WA and when I received my truck it had damage to the entire front of my truck. It took me weeks to get a hold of the company to file a claim for damages. Then there insurance company AIG rejected my claim. The estimates were $10,000 worth of damage. The contract that the transport company and insurance company used basically lets them pick any reason to damage your vehicle and not pay for it. My next step is to get a lawyer. No Company should be allowed to do business and not be held responsible for damages. read more

Shipped a car from Oregon to Upstate NY through Autozipper (Broker). Broker was fine, Diesel had horrible communication, delayed at least three times and constantly moving the estimated delivery by a couple days at a time and never communicating unless poked and annoyed by me. The driver was great so when things go well they go well which is probably why the reviews are so high. Otherwise when they go poorly hope you can live without the car for a month. Picked up 4/22, estimate delivery was 5/3-5/5. Delayed multiple times, eventually got it on 5/21. read more
