The team showed up on time, worked carefully, and didn't rush anything. My siding looked almost new after the wash, and the windows were so clean it felt like someone removed the glass completely. The gutter cleaning was a big help too, I usually dread that part, but they handled it professionally. Guy was on his phone from the moment he got to the house, and kept mumbling about the "high windows" in the dining room. In the 25 minutes he was at my home, he managed to turn on the outside water and bring in a short ladder. That was it. He was too busy on his phone to do work. After the 25 minutes or more, I told him that he was done, no need to end his phone call. I called the office to complain about the service, and they said "sorry about that, someone will call you later", which they never did. Rated at ZERO stars

So, we had a good impression of the company and asked them to do our gutters - but that was a complete failure. We were originally scheduled for gutter cleaning on a Thursday, 1-5 PM. A little before 1:00 I got a text saying the crew would be there in 45 minutes (about 1:30). When no one showed up by 2:30 I called, and was told the texted time was a mistake, but the crew would be to us at 5:00. At 5:30 I got a call saying they would be there at 6:00. About 6:30 I called to cancel the order, but the office was closed. The crew came at 6:45 and I sent them away. The next day I got an apologetic call offering to reschedule for a morning shift (8-12) and give us a discounted rate. Being gullible, and cheap, I said OK. I got a text at some point during the rescheduled morning saying the crew would be late, and by 12:40 we'd had enough and canceled the order. So, they stood us up a total of 4 times. We'll never know if they would have done a good job because the scheduling process was completely messed up.

The house/porch was last painted in 1999 and the whole place was truly was in desperate need of some care and attention!! But we could only afford to tackle a part of the total painting project and decided on the front porch this year. We got a few quotes from other painters and Red Sky Painting came in with a very reasonable price for the amount of work that we needed. Dominik came out the very next day after I'd requested a quote and he spent a good bit of time assessing everything- the wood quality, the rickety nature of the railings, the massive amount of chipping/peeling paint on the columns, and the rotting of the wood at the base of the support columns. He brought a Benjamin Moore paint color kit so we could match our new paint to the existing color. He was super thorough in his assessment and explained everything to me, and a day later I got a detailed quote texted to me. He is so efficient and a great communicator! Because it was the end of November, the timing to start was tricky, as the cold weather was soon to arrive. Dominik calculated that he and his team could break up the work into separate stages and complete each in the available blocks of clear weather, and have the whole thing done by the end of the month. The team came one day for scrape, prime, and wood repair. Another day to power wash. And then two days to paint. It is November 26th and true to his word, this is my absolutely gorgeous front porch, see photos!! I paint the rainbow steps myself every year, so Dominik didn't paint those, but he and his team did everything else including the window trims and as a nice surprise- added the door, for free! I didn't anticipate that and I was so pleased and grateful when I came home from work and my husband told me the team decided to add the door for free, wow!!! I am over the moon at the quality of this work, but more importantly, it is the professionalism and personality of Dominik and his whole team that really, really sets this business apart. I highly recommend Red Sky Painting. We are going to book them in the Spring to tackle the rest of the house exterior. I can't wait to see what it is going to look like fully done. Terrible experience. After a small number of quick email exchanges, we arrived at general terms. Then the fun began. We then waited weeks to get an updated estimate in writing. Sean would often take a week to respond to simple email requests. He promised information was coming. Never did. After almost a month, my wife emailed (she called first, but their voicemail was full...seriously?) and was responded to by Jesse, indicating that Sean had experienced a personal difficulty (totally understand...things happen), but that he would forward things the following day. The next day (which at this point made it a month of back and forth) Jesse emailed me to let me know that, due to his personal situation, Sean's crew was sidelined and Jesse's crew was already booked out for months and would be unable to do our job...at all...and they were "passing". All this after being apologized to literally 48 hours earlier and told by Jesse that he would get our updated estimate so we could move forward. Wow. People wonder why contractors have bad names in general. I had been ridiculously patient. I even would have understood if I had been told that, due to a personal issue, our job had to be pushed back a few weeks. However, to be intentionally strung along with multiple assurances over and over, only to then be dropped and left high and dry? Absolutely horrible. Jesse also apparently trolled my wife online (creepy and weird), found out she also has her own business, and made a veiled threat in an email that he hoped that she never experienced a personal challenge similar to Sean, became short staffed, and had people write negative reviews about her business. Again...wow. Stay away. Far away.

A very pleasant and friendly worker showed up and got right to work. He used a hand blower to blow any leaves and debris from the gutters. There was one gutter that had shreds of roofing shingles inside the elbow. He removed the elbow, cleaned out the debris and hosed down the gutter to make sure water ran out with a good flow. He even replaced broken and rusted gutter screws. Great price, friendly service and quick response!
