He turned to me because I know a lot about cars and he trusts my opinion. A few months ago, used cars were in short supply. Now, there is plenty of inventory. My friend did not want to purchase from an individual owner because he worried that if something went wrong with the car right away, he would have no recourse. I thought that was smart of him. My friend spent hours searching the internet for a car. He lives in Lockport and works in Tonawanda, and wanted a Subaru or other 4wd car to make things safe for his commute. Another smart choice on his part. We went to two Lockport car dealers and test drove 4 cars there. Then I drove him to TwinTon. My friend had found a Subaru and a Toyota, both 5-speed cars, which he wanted. We were greeted by one of the two brothers who have taken over this very long-standing dealership. Chris was our sales person. He let my friend test drive both cars he was interested in. Both were excellent, but the Subaru was the winner. It had brand new struts, rode like a dream, and had lots of power. The asking price was very close to the Kelly Blue Book value, which seemed reasonable. There was some heavy wear and tear on the driver's seat, for which we asked for a little better deal. Chris agreed. Chris made sure the car was clean and had a missing fender liner installed as we waited. They took care of registering and inspection right there on the spot. No financing was involved. The entire transaction went smoothly. There's a 30-day 1,000 mile warranty. It's been almost a month, and so far no major glitches. My friend absolutely loves his new car. I don't think we could have asked for a smoother, nicer transaction. BTW, the dealership is now run by two very nice brothers and their mom. Their grandfather was there, too. This is the opposite of a fly-by-night operation. This family has been in business now for generations!

The bootleg Auto Repair insurance they offer will only pay for a blown up engine (you just better make sure you've done nothing to cause that engine to blow up) or transmission that internally, falls apart. They changed payment systems which caused them to charge me and extra $120 on a payment with no notice. Bad business and I was going to go to them for another car too since I only have three months left on my payments

Bob was my sales person and after visiting 4-5 dealerships and receiving really bad customer…read moreservice, it was so nice to experience a real, old fashioned, well rounded sales person. He showed us a few cars and when due to a small technicality we encountered a small issue with financing, not only did he fix it, he got our interest rate cut in half! He followed up and made sure we were taken care of. When a small issue came up with one of the keys to the Lexus, he was very responsive and although we have not resolved it yet, there's not a doubt in my mind that he will make it right. There was a small mix up in price during our shopping experience that nearly brought me to tears! (The car that I loved turned out to be a lot higher priced than I was told) and after walking away thinking I will have to buy something else, he worked with management and a couple days later was able to lower the price a lot...Now, I understand that this sounds a lot like a tactic and I've bought enough cars to know it; However, it was an honest correction and I'm pretty sure they lost money on the deal because of their commitment to customer service and the original error.... Overall, very good experience with this sales person and the company.

BUYER BEWARE!!! My wife and I traveled from Pittsburgh, PA…read moreto Basil Resale Sheridan in Buffalo, NY after confirming availability of a used 2024 Infiniti QX50 Sport listed in their inventory. Local availability for this model--particularly AWD--was extremely limited, so we were willing to make the six‑hour round trip only after very clear assurances. Prior to the trip, I spoke directly with Sales Manager Patrick Schultz and his assistant Jose. I explicitly stated that we were driving from out of state and that we were prepared to purchase the vehicle immediately if it met basic, clearly defined conditions: the car needed to drive straight, show no visible body damage, have no unusual odors, and be in genuinely "great condition." We had already test‑driven this model locally and were not browsing--we were buying. Based on their repeated assurances, photos they sent, and their insistence that the car "drove like new" and had no issues, we proceeded. We added the vehicle to our insurance and brought a cashier's check for the agreed amount, expecting a quick transaction. Upon arrival on February 14, those assurances immediately unraveled. Before even leaving the lot, a red warning light was illuminated on the dashboard. During a short drive, my wife noticed severe visual distortion through the windshield, resembling a fun‑house mirror. Upon switching seats, it became obvious the windshield had been replaced with a low‑quality aftermarket product. The driver‑side door was misaligned and did not close smoothly, and the hood also failed to line up properly. After parking to investigate the warning light, it became clear it was related to the pedestrian impact / pop‑up hood system--indicating the vehicle had been involved in a frontal impact. Despite a "clean" CarFax report, the physical evidence strongly suggested prior collision damage and poor‑quality repairs. This was further supported by numerous HIGHLY visible paint chips, scratches, rim damage, and obvious touch‑up attempts--none of which appeared in the photos provided beforehand. For a vehicle with under 7,000 miles, this condition is unacceptable. More concerning is that these issues were either ignored or intentionally misrepresented by individuals who "do this for a living," despite our very direct questions and the significant travel involved. Offering to fix the issues after the fact does not resolve the underlying problem: this car should never have been presented as accident‑free or in excellent condition. We assume they were hoping we would go through with the sale after making the long drive from Pittsburgh. We declined to proceed and drove home. Integrity and honesty were clearly lacking in this transaction. While reviews suggest this may not be the norm, this experience was significant enough to warrant caution. If you choose to work with Basil Resale Sheridan, I strongly recommend avoiding Sales Manager Patrick Schultz and his assistant Jose. A clean CarFax report does not replace transparency, and neither does a verbal assurance. Good luck to anyone who actually purchases the Black 2024 INFINITI QX50 Sport, I definitely feel sorry for them. As of this writing, we are still waiting for any formal outreach or explanation from dealership leadership.

These gents are honest, no-pressure, and ethical. My friends were in a pinch for a quality used car after their Buick's frame cracked on a drive up from Myrtle Beach. They bought a gorgeous Lexus hybrid from Andre, owner of Buffalo Motor Works, and couldn't be happier. (A few of us are actually a little jealous of it!) They were so excited about it, they showed it off to all their extended family! Andre was exceedingly patient with our questions and throughout the whole process. (He also is quite knowledgeable about Buffalo history, he may have another calling as a tour guide!) After our positive experience with Andre, we took our other cars - a BMW & Prius, to Dan. I am not exaggerating when I say Dan saved us hundreds, and probably more, on the repairs. I know this bc I had a quote from another trusted mechanic, and Dan fixed the problem for $260 rather than $1,000+. He also did a fantastic job on the BMW repair (he's a certified BMW master technician I believe), at a fraction of the price it would cost elsewhere. And I'm not talking about a dealer's estimate - he beat the other garages. By a lot. Dan also caught a few non-working lights that the cops in my area love to stop you for, so I'm grateful for that as well. I also need to point out that, as a WOMAN, these guys were equally respectful to me as to a man. Unfortunately we are still in a time when some car dealers and mechanics overcharge women, etc., but not these guys. They also run a more peaceful place than other spaces. You'll see. Finally, I really love their vision & vibe. Thanks again for everything, "Just 3 guys with a beard"!

I had the car delivered to me a month ago, and it still has not moved from my driveway. They sold me a car that has 4 dry rotted tires, over 10 years old each, no working reverse lights, a major electrical issue that the power seats and climate control don't work. The new battery I had installed does not hold a charge. The alternator winds too high and is not seated correctly, the fuse box gets upwards of 220 degrees. I won't run it because I am afraid of a fire starting. The list goes on and on. I had the car towed to a specialist (more $ out of my pocket) to check it out. They raised all the same concerns I had and said it is not safe in its current condition and will need upwards of $5k, probably more to fix all the issues. They even took my sales tax money, saying they had a third party registering my car. Well, the car is not safe for the roads, so it can't be registered, but they have my sales tax money still. It would never pass inspection. I was looking for a weekend driver to take to car shows and I got a total lemon! This dealership refuses to do anything, stating "I have buyers remorse!!!!!!" Are you kidding me? I was looking for this style car for over three years. I wasn't looking for a car that needs tons of work or I would not have bought it. Now I am forced to get a NY Attorney, get the NY Attorney General as well as the NY DMV involved. I did hire a third party to check out the car. He apparently doesn't know a lot about these sports cars, because he seemed to just look at cosmetics, not electrical or reverse lights or dry rotted tires (I could go on). I will be looking at this company next. Yes, the car looks nice, but OMG, what a mechanical, electrical mess!! A lot of my wasted time on this. I just wanted my money back, but now since it looks like this dealership doesn't care, I will be looking for a lot more than just that. Yes, I have learned my lesson. Due to this awful experience, I will never make a large purchase like this online again. Stay away from this dealership. It seems they don't care too much about the online customer. Writing this to hopefully help anybody thinking of buying online from these rip off professional's.
