Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. The installation of the pavers was not done properly, confirmed by a third party inspector, so our $30K pavers are always wet and discolored. They NEVER dry. The pavers are not sloped properly, trapping moisture in our pavers - in any weather- winter or summer. The work was extremely sloppy, some edges were finished, some were left with bulging concrete. C&D is either incompetent, neglectful, dishonest or all 3. We have reached out to the owner Christ countless times for resolution to no avail. He won't take responsibility for the defective installation, despite it clearly deviating from the manufacturer specifications. 6 months later with no resolution and no reply to our last email on 12/23. Just don't do it, he's not a stand up guy and if you ever have issues - forget about it, you're stuck.

They even came early after they had a cancellation. Value seems pretty standard, which it was I could hope for. They removed the loose bricks, got rid of the bad mortar, and re-did the steps, putting the bricks back. They honored the price that we agreed upon and just went ahead and fixed everything, sealing every gap they saw.

As a result there were things in my home I kept putting off because of how difficult it is to find a *GREAT* contractor! Because of my previous experience with them, I called them back to quote on REPLACING wood floors in my home! We agreed to a price and soon thereafter the work began! The end result is astounding! My floors were in bad shape, after 67 years and not only did they have to be replaced but the entire beams and insulation had to go as well! The end result is amazing! Both rooms came out to be as though they were just built with the house! Their employees are top notch! From setting up all protective covering and blocking off that area of the house, we didn't experience much inconvenience or "dust" considering the scope of work that had to be done!
