I highly recommend Bethesda Physiocare. It is well run and includes state of the art equipment…read more Even more important is the phenomenal care we have received from Arona Diop. My son is a competitive swimmer who has Ehlers Danlos. As a former athlete with EDS, Arona knows exactly how to treat this. My son felt understood for the first time in his life after meeting with Arona. From the exercises, dry needling, massage and extensive education about his condition, everything about his treatment plan has been truly excellent. My son suffered a fractured vertebra this year and once again, Arona was there to explain exactly what he needed to do to fully recover. Arona was invaluable in keeping my son optimistic about his recovery and guiding him on exactly what he needed to do. My son is excited to see Arona and to follow his treatment plan because he says, "Arona has been through a lot with me and has always been right." I have started seeing Arona for my own long term back pain because after seeing how he helped my son, it would be hard for me to go back to any other PT.

Bethesda Physiocare offers precisely this kind of experience, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found it. I had had dry needling in the past (as a part of my previous PT program) and was looking for someone to provide this service exclusively. After reading reviews, I decided to make an appointment with Noelle. My experience with her over these past few weeks has been nothing short of amazing. She is an exceptionally skilled provider who is clearly an expert in her field. Because of her breadth of experience and extraordinary needling skills, I always felt at ease and am now feeling SO much better than when I first came to see her. And she is just an overall lovely person who you can tell truly cares about her patients. The office is bright, clean, easily accessible and modern. I cannot recommend this practice, and specifically Noelle, highly enough. You will truly be in the best and most competent of hands.

She is just the nicest, kindest person ever. Stacey, advised me to go to the urgent care center when I couldn't get in to see an orthopedic doctor before the weekend. She even helped me find a good one. Then, when an appointment opened up, she called me and booked the appointment for me at Ortho Bethesda. Stacey, you are an angel. I went to see Dr. Gazdag and he was wonderful. He was funny and an excellent professional. We took more X-rays, so if you see a light in Rockville, it is just me glowing at night. I am in a boot and a cane, but no surgery needed. Amen! The people who work with Dr. Gazdag and Ortho Bethesda were awesome. They were very nice and helpful. I got great care and I have respect for the office. And, thank you, Stacey for making sure I was taken care of.

TLDR- I went here with the impression the OT would get my healed fractured wrist back to working…read moreagain, but he did not and the professionalism and care seemed to exist for exactly one month of appointments- which doesn't seem like a timeline based on rehab/healing- but insurance or the bottom line. I could be wrong. But my wrist sure doesn't work, but I "graduated" in exactly a month. I've never had an injury like this before. I broke my wrist really badly. Or more specifically- I had a left distal radius fracture with associated distal ulna fracture, then ORIF surgery/ open reduction, internal fixation- so I have a plate in my wrist now. I'd already tried a physical therapy mill where you learn and do your own exercises independently, you even timed yourself- so Danny the OT here was a huge step up. He seemed like he genuinely cared about what he does and the patient's successful recovery. After the last experience I felt finally someone will help me get my hand and wrist back to working order. On our first appointment he scheduled us for the next month of appointments. And funny enough, I "graduated" on that last scheduled day. I had no idea it would be the last day until the end of the appointment. It was also the first time he had a student/intern or something shadow him- which I felt uncomfortable with. It is just a hand, but talking about your defects or the vulnerability of not being able to do very simple things- is not something I feel comfortable talking about in front of a person I never met. It felt very impersonal. And despite the joy they expressed at my "graduation"- from the OT, the intern, and the OT's assistant. They all congratulated me. Which felt confusing, because I can't open a medicine bottle. I can't clasp anything on my back. I can't really twist any cap. I walk my dog with a waist leash because I don't have the strength on dexterity in that hand to walk him anymore with my hands. But I graduated. I was told this as if it was cause for celebration but I just thought- no one's going to help me. I took the steps instead of the elevator as I left the office for privacy because I started crying. I cried walking down the stairwell. I felt just abandoned with my often painful weak wrist and severely limited ROM. I don't know how to fix my wrist on my own and no one seems to care enough to treat me until I have a working hand/wrist. He was obviously done assisting me but as I looked up certified hand therapists - the best ones are in his office. He was done assisting me, but why didn't he recommend his colleague? A CHT. So I can open medicine bottles, and honestly just clasp my bra in the back. Or really a hundred things that come up every day. I don't understand why he couldn't help me fix this. It seems so wrong to just not at least refer me to someone. Every metric that determines a successful wrist rehab is abominable for me. By the range of motion numbers, I desperately need OT or a certified hand specialist. I was still dropped without notice or a path to figuring out how to tie my shoes in one try. I felt just hopeless about it. Like he thought this was good enough. My trust and hope is near depleted. It's just a hand. I know. But it's a part of me. Every time I can't do something I used to be able to do it's like a reminder I'm not whole yet. And I wish I didn't have to fight for the most basic rehab care. I'll start again, when I can muster the emotional energy to at least act like I have additional reserve of trust. I don't know if this is what people have to fight through, but it's not right. Especially when you're at your most vulnerable. I feel bad for everyone just trying to recover, who is left with a defective piece of themselves and the confusing task of navigating a way towards just being whole again, or even just regaining the ability to clasp their own darn bra.

And let me tell you, it was incredibly helpful!! After each session I had with Elizabeth (Liz) Karhl, I always left feeling better with looser muscle tissue, additional bone mobility & better physical range of bodily motion. Having been to several different PT providers in Maryland, it is my opinion that Precision PT is the best. I think this because I saw Liz after seeing a doctor about my shoulder injury, and when the doctor said everything looked good (it didn't feel that way at all), Liz was able to diagnose the actual cause of my shoulder pain, and through manual treatment, help fix the issue. So if you're looking to improve your physical health or simply want another opinion on how PT can help fix an injury, pick up the phone and give Liz a call!!

I really liked the fact that you do not need to sign a contract with Precision and although they offer monthly memberships, you can also buy class cards, which is good for me since I am not an extremely structured exerciser. Also, they offer both fitness classes, equipment, and physical therapy, which appealed to me since I've had multiple injuries the past few years that have been affecting my activity level. Precision is in one of the office parks in the Rockledge area and is nothing fancy in terms of its looks and doesn't fall into the category of a "bargain gym," but the classes I've been to (spin, yoga, and pilates reformer) are FABULOUS and are worth every penny! They are challenging, and the instructors really pay attention to what you are doing and make an effort to introduce themselves to new people in their classes, learn your name, and help you adjust as needed to really perform the exercises correctly. They are also great about asking if you have any injuries that limit some of your movements and help you modify as needed. Besides the great classes, the people who attend the classes are much friendlier than in any gym I've belonged to EVER, which is pretty refreshing. The only down side is they do not offer too much in the evenings in terms of classes...so I am trying my best to become a morning exerciser. It's probably better for me anyways to get it out of the way first thing in the day :)

My initial evaluation with Dominic was very thorough and he definitely found the root cause of my pain after months of being sent to dr after dr. My sessions after that eval have been with Anya who is incredibly kind and really encouraged me to not rush my healing process. She really helped me understand how to do my exercises the correct way and help me notice what i need to engage with each one. It's been very helpful to learn that my initial abdomen pain turned out to surprisingly be all related to lower back and hip flexor tightness and that it all correlates. I had thought for many months that it could've been appendicitis and have been extremely relieved its turned out to be not that serious.

This place and their staff, specifically the woman at reception, is racist and are in the business of taking your money. Let me tell you, she pressured me to book an appointment when I asked to speak to my insurance first. She ensured me it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out, it was and my insurance wouldn't cover it. That was fine with me but I said I would like to reschedule for the following week so I can work things out with insurance. Her response? "I should have checked with them before booking and it's not within the 48 hours period to cancel so I will be charged. Maybe someone like me needs to manage my time and money better." WHAT?! No thank you. Hard pass on this place. And she said she would send me the info for billing - never did. Don't waste your time. If this is how they treat people just on booking, can't even imagine what it would be like to have an actual appointment. This place should shut down.

Tamer is a miracle worker. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was even reluctant to write this…read morereview, bc it'll make it harder to book an appointment with him! Do not be fooled by his modest and humble demeanor. He is the most effective PT I have ever seen -- and the results came quicker and lasted longer under his good care and guidance than anywhere else I've been. He's one of those rare people that has found their true calling and ability, and it is evident in the people he has healed and helped to heal ourselves (if we do the exercises!). I was in a car accident and saw several PTs, chiropractors, etc that provided temporary relief, but nothing beyond a week or two. Dr Issa was recommended to me by a family friend who is a top doctor in another state. At first I wasn't sure -- only because he was a 35min drive from my office and wasn't "in network." I am so glad I went -- and did a series of visits to correct my neck, upper back, lower back and pelvis. And, we tried dry needling, which I wasn't sure about and had never tried. It worked better than anything else I'd ever done. Now that's the first thing I ask other PTs -- bc that method, for me, has been #1 effective in releasing tight, conditioned muscles and promoting alignment and ease of motion. My insurance ended up covering a portion of the visits. Tamer also has a generous payment option/ discount to make sure folks could afford it. The fact that he's not as pressured by in-network quotas that focus on quantity enables him to focus on quality. Since my visits in Fall/ Winter of 2012 and Spring of 2013, I've had to move for my job. The next time I'm in DC, it's on the top of my list to go in for a tune-up. Thanks for everything, Tamer!
