The benefit and improvement to my life can't be overstated. An Osteopath, when treating me for a long standing and many times misdiagnosed condition, gave me a prescription directing me to seek out IMT (dry needling) in conjunction with a PT regimen that incorporates targeted exercises and stretching. I found Schrier PT with a Google search and quickly concluded that they were the closest to my home that met the criteria, albeit a 2 hour drive (round trip). My first impression of the office was very favorable given that it's bright and spacious and it's in a building that has excellent air quality and lots of natural light. The receptionist was welcoming and the Therapist that greeted me and provided the initial evaluation of my condition was the perfect mix of professionalism, attentiveness and positive energy. Her obvious confidence and optimism that Schrier PT could provide me with some help toward bettering my condition set the tone from the very beginning. That first appointment included treatment, not just the evaluation. This alone set them apart from so many others. That and the fact that I was listened to in earnest. Years of intense pain that I just didn't even begin to understand, misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis, inconclusive diagnostics, countless specialists and alternative medicine practicioners, many thousands of $, a pharmacy worth of drugs, countless hours in the car and on planes....... Schrier PT helped put that behind me and set me on a path toward improvement. I may do my part by keeping my appointments and putting in the work that's necessary, however, I did that for years before I went to Schrier PT. They take my insurance as well, which is Anthem Blue Cross, so that helps with the cost. Ive been an athlete for most of my life, and now I just train at the gym and do CrossFit on occasion. I was in need for some physical therapy because I injured my groin and lower back doing heavy squats. I cannot say enough great things about this practice. So let me break it down for you... The office itself is really nice! I love the ambiance. It is a nice, cozy, trendy and clean office space. Upon walking in, you are greeted by whomever is at the front desk and there are several chairs for waiting and magazines to look at. Sam, Andrea and Carla are wonderful!!! They are very friendly and make your experience comfortable and pleasant! This place has compression machine for your legs, a physical therapy exercise area with a lot of sports/exercise equipment, office space for adjustments and additional therapies (cupping, needling, massage gun, etc.), and a warm massage bed while you're hooked up to an electrical muscle stimulation machine. Each of my appointments typically follow the same routine and i started going in twice a week for four weeks. Ill do 15 mins on the warm massage bed while hooked up to the electro stimulator, then ill do 15 minutes of compression, then 15 minutes of going through my physical therapy exercises led by Andrea. She is great at walking you through the movements and she switches up the exercises each time. Then ill see Dr. Dillon Balkin for more focused work on my injuries whether it be cupping, massaging, needling, adjustments, etc. Dr. Dillon Balkin is great! He is very professional, extremely personable and friendly, and you can tell he is passionate about his work and is very knowledgeable. I always appreciate his recommendations and they always help me progress with my recovery. My back and groin have healed tremendously and i can now do full squats with heavy weights again. I enjoyed coming here so much that I continued to go here to treat my shoulder injury from 2017 that I have been doubtful about getting treated again. I went to a different physical therapy practice for my shoulder in the past and it only got worse, so i've been hesitant to "waste money" to get it checked out again. To my honest surprise, Dr. Balkin found the issue and as i started to follow the program/exercises he prescribed me, it's actually getting better and im ecstatic! Dr. D is muscular, with an athletic build, but a gentle touch. His set up is very accurate for me and it takes little force by him to move things where they need to go, where I have had others unable to do so. My mother has been going to this particular Pivot PT since having back surgery (over a year ago)…read moreand also rotatory cuff surgery (about 6 months ago) and both her and I feel very fortunate to have found a PT location that's not only convenient to where we live, but also has staff that is extremely attentive and thorough in providing my mother with the PT that she requires as she regains back her mobility and range of motion. By far though, the staff (mainly Allen and John) have been extremely caring and gently in their care every time (twice a week) that my mother has to go in for PT. A primary example happened just this week when my mother felt light-headed during PT (this has never happened before and we believe that she just over-exerted herself) and John certainly went above and beyond in his care of my mother until I was able to pick her up. He took her blood pressure and checked her vitals (which was normal) and truly showed an interest in my mother's well being - in fact, he even called her the next day to check on her and to see how she was feeling, etc. Again, I can't say enough about the care that's been exhibited at this particular Pivot PT.
