Yikes, I'm surprised by the bad reviews here! I've never been to a Dick's store in another state, so I'm more than impressed with the OKC location. I will say I can usually find better prices at Academy on shoes, but the selection of women's athletic clothing at Dick's blows Academy away. I LOVE all the Nike and Under Armour at my disposal, and although Dick's is pricey, I feel like I can usually catch stuff on sale for 25% off or so. I would honestly give five stars, but other reviewers are right about the service. The only time I've had anyone greet me here was on Black Friday. Any other time, I've had to search for an employee for about 10 minutes if I need help. They definitely need better service in the shoe department; they have large display walls of shoes without boxes around them so you really just have to wander aimlessly to find the ones you want. read more

Had great customer service but I felt I was mislead into buying the warranty for my bike I purchased. For one, they stated if it broke, they would fix it . Next, the did NOT provide me the warranty information booklet . I had an accident on it the day of purchase, and called today to get the break handle fixed, and they said they won't cover it. So do NOT buy the warranty!! I'm going to have to pay for the repair now out of pocket which is ridiculous! Very upset about this . read more

this place was great! staff was very friendly and communicative! i just started rollerskating and was looking for some protective gear. i was unable to find any, but a very helpful lady named cheyenne lead me right to where they were! she was even nice enough to find where they should be, noticed they weren't there so she got some from the back, and let me try them on as i didn't know my size. i felt listened to and appreciated how understanding and nice the people were. i will absolutely come back just for how nice the staff were! read more

We came in looking for a Nike belt, which they did have, but not the one we had in mind. My husband also needed some socks for work. I had been passing out lately with my sycope, so it was real nice to see a motorized shopping cart. The store was packed with all sorts of sports, hunting and fishing clothes, shoes, guns and other various gear. The aisles were wide so I got around pretty good. This was our first visit to Dick's as we usually go to Academy Sports. This store seems smaller, I was impressed by all the options here and they have a loyalty "score" card that I signed up for. Jennifer, the sales associate was extremely friendly..but I'll probably keep shopping at Academy as this place is a little to far and more pricey for me. read more

Lousy. I went in to buy a knee brace for my food knee as I had just had surgery on the other. Just wanted to keep it safe. I was on crutches. Zero employees spoke to me... Found the braces and had to sit down on the bottom shelf of the display. Checked out and still no one spoke to me. Cashier barely acknowledged my existence... wont be back, ever. read more

When I lived in Overland Park, KS, I used to visit the Dick's location there fairly often. It was an impressive place, with two levels and an indoor rock climbing wall. When the new location opened here in OKC, I was expecting the same. Sadly, it seems to be a Dick's Lite. It is a nice store, and has just about anything you might be looking for in the way of sporting goods, but in the end there isn't much you can get here that can't be found at a local Academy or Bass Pro. They do have a nice selection of kayaks, which is something I'm considering buying next Spring. But their gun selection is limited to rifles, and gun nuts would be better off at H&H or Bass Pro. Staff were friendly, but I didn't ask any serious questions so I can't speak to their knowledge. If you're in the area, by all means stop in and check it out, you may like it. But other than kayaks, I can find just about anything they carry somewhere closer. read more

I've been here numerous times. This is the last time I'll go to this location. Finally found the running shoes I've been looking for ($139.99). THREE employees look at me and walk by. I've worked at a shoe store before, and know a simple greeting is not much to ask, even for minimum wage. Guess I'll continue to Mowgli it. Thanks, Dick. Bought an $80 fishing rod less than 2 weeks ago. Got a decent fish on it, and it snapped. Silly me, I didn't keep the receipt because I didn't expect it to be such a piece of junk. Just explained this situation to a very large female employee with short hair, and not only was she completely not helpful, she was kind of rude. I had original packaging and it had THEIR Barcode sticker on it, but nope. Denied. Said that wasn't good enough to prove I bought it there. Rude. Will never shop here again. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have shopped here many of time just because it's closest to my house. Customer service is horrible no one is ever around to help customers especially in shoes. Then when you walk all around to find someone to help you. They don't actual look for anything. They give any excuse not to look. They have coupons that don't expire but will not accept them. Went here for first time since it opened. Have been to numerous other Dick's Sporting Good stores throughout country and have been satisfied with those experiences. This one however, I would recommend to avoid at all costs. My wife and I went to the shoe department, found a pair of shoes not in the size we needed. After tracking down two workers to check on sizes in the back we were told they don't carry that size and have no idea what that shoe even is. They laughed and then continued a conversation with each other leaving us just standing there. The customer service in that department is absolutely horrendous. The manager really needs to step up their game overseeing that department. read more

Bought some jerseys on Monday night, when we got back home late I noticed the lady at the register didn't remove the anti-theft sensor from one of them, so I decided to go back Tuesday morning. well to our surprise the sensor did work so we proceeded to the customer service desk and explained this situation to a very large female employee with short hair, she was kind of rude and disrespectful. Next time they hire someone like that they should have them try saying Good Morning, or how about " Sorry for the Inconvenience " . Don't they know that we, the paying customers pay for their salary at the end of the day! And maybe they should look into who turns off those sensors late at night. read more
