HUGE! Bass pro shops , filled with all kinds of grown up toys. I was like a kid in a candy store (they also have actual candy). Boats, ATVs, Fishing gear, Archery, Firearms, Ammo, gear ! There is so much to look at inside and a variety of items. It was very clean and easy to walk around, it was a Tuesday evening so maybe the weekend might be busier. The only thing I don't like is the sales people trying to get you to sign up for a time share. We did find a great coffee thermos and some Black Rifle Coffee Company coffee. December 7, 2024 Review number if it stays, Maestro or Maestra, a few notes on the piano if you please, forty five for Bass Pro Shops in child friendly OKC, the Capitol town of Oklahoma, The Sooner State. Any time I visit here in the child friendly Oklahoma City, the Local People call it OKC, I like to walk from the hotel to Bass Pro Shops. As far, try years July 2003, July 2005, July 2007! The last time I went, even if July, was raining. Get there eight minutes before they open, not bad! It is a hunting, fishing, camping, sports store! Children section that day they had books of different animals. The gentleman saw I was quite interested in the book of moose! Remember, this is the children section, so the book even at fifteen pages, is simple. It did have many facts of moose! He says he will sell the book to me for a dollar! I start bring out two dollars as I thinking there may be tax! He gives me the other dollar back. "I said for one dollar," wow so was even dollar! There was also big aquarium of alive fish. The albino fish from year 2005 no longer there, they say it passed. I understand as in the wild, albino no matter what breed animal, bird, reptile, fish, so forth, never survive to Adulthood! If is a prey animal, they get eaten right away! If is a predator animal, such as a tiger (as example), once they leave the Mother Animal, the prey animal will see that predator animal. That means the predator animal will not have much success at hunting, so will eventually pass! It is always easy for me to spend hours at Bass Pro Shops, as say, especially the children section and the aquarium with real, alive fish! This has be my last review for 2024! Whether I write future comments, but this has to be my last! Any Salvation Army is always very busy any November, any December! I do again recommend this Bass Pro Shops! read more

This is your typical Bass Pro Shops. Looked very similar to the one I visited in Florida and in Colorado as well. I actually like the one in Colorado the best. If you're visiting OKC and have time to spare, swing by here. Otherwise, you're not missing much. It's actually a good idea to come in here and cool off while browsing around, if it's a hot summer day. Staff seemed okay here. I visited here after my visit to nearby Centennial Land Run Monument. They sell water and other cold beverages to help you cool off from the summer heat. Of course, they offer plenty of snacks as well, to go with those cold beverages. read more

They are rude you're on hold you're always cut off and they always depict that they know what they're doing and actually they do not do not ever go there. We had gotten a gift card ages ago and decided to go today and use it. I love Bass Pro for hanging out and looking at all their cool stuff. I think all their prices are really high. They have very few women's clothing choices other than coats and jackets, We had a hard time finding anything to buy because everything we found, we knew we could get much cheaper at some other store. This place would be great if it wasn't for the fact it's packed full, elbow to elbow with people. And only 18% of them are there to actually spend money. The rest are there just taking up space, and window shopping. This is a retail store. Not a bar. Not a hangout club. It makes it very difficult to maneuver thru rude lookie loos and get the items I'm there to purchase. This chain should really cut back on allowing all the loitering. It makes the whole experience uncomfortable for people who want to spend their money versus the ones who have none and just want a place to hang out. read more

I love going to bass pro and browsing around. I was really enjoying my time until a man approached me about selling me some kind of Vacation in the store. I told him multiple times that i was not interested nor did i have the time to go on vacation and he kept pushing the matter. I felt uncomfortable after telling him at least 6 times that i was not interested. I had to just walk away. Besides that aggressive sales tactic, i would have given them a 5 star review. This was my first time here and it was a great place to visit. There is much to see and do while you are there, of course there are stuffed animals all around, a huge fish tank, and an electronic shooting gallery to name a few things. Not a fan. My last few experiences at Bass Pro in OKC have been horrible and there is always a lot of pressure to enter sweepstakes, sign up for things, get a rewards card, sign up for a credit card and the like. There are more associates walking around marketing these things than working the registers. I bought a fishing pole here and it was jammed and didn't work. Had to return it and waited in long lines at both the customer service desk and the cash registers. Inventory is not great, particularly with hiking shoes and gear. Accessibility in and out of the store is not great. Overall, this place is not a pleasant place to shop. Probably bad management. read more

I went to bass pro for the first time for a band trip. My friends and I went to go pay I (white) went by and paid perfectly fine. My friend (colored) Hispanic to be exact. Paid with cash just like I did but checked her my friends money as if it wasn't real because because she is Hispanic. Order pick up ABSURD! It's the 21st century for goodness sake. Can't go in to get it. Have to drive around to the back but the sign indicating where to go is small. I drove around the building twice before calling about where to go. Once I finally found it, it's the dock. You have to get out, ring a bell and wait. The associate then WRITES OUT all your info before finally getting your item, even though I have a scan code on my phone. Bass pro is a huge national chain. So I am typically not an outdoorsy person therefore I don't like shopping at these kind of places. My husband had a gift card so I decided to go with him inside it needless to say I was very surprised. They carry great brands like Northface in Columbia. When you walk in there are tons of cool stuff from local homemade salsas and bread mixed to a typical north face zip up. They even have fishes to watch in the back like the zoo I took my 10 month old back there and he was amused for a few good seconds! Ha I'm giving it 4 stars because of their prices. I shop a lot a little too much and noticed their sales on these fleeces or even the under armour polos are still more expensive than Nordstrom rack or even dillards. The employees were very helpful and checking out was a breeze. You didn't have to wait in line there were multiple spots open which is always nice for a busy weekend. Parking wasn't too bad at all but there also wasn't a baseball game so that helped! All in all if you need fishing gear or hunting gear this place has all your needs! read more

Visited the store and was impressed with their stock. All set to purchase approximately 300 dollars worth of stuff. Go to check out and their system to recognize tax free for disabled veterans is not functioning. They have no idea when they will get fixed. Just amazing that a store of this caliber has no backup to allow tax free purchases. Amazing! But I guess on the bright side I saved a good bit of money. Customer service was worthless. read more

My husband and i were there today. Our shopping trip was great until a man that was trying to sell vacation packages stopped me and my granddaughter. Ok i understand he is doing his job. But he would not stop. I told him several times i would be back. We finally walked away. So my husband and i go to leave and he stops us. My husband was very nice to him. This man kept asking about golfing. When my husband said he didn't golf he said then how about this and that. My husband said very nicely no thank you. I am so disappointed in this store. Positives first: the parking lot is very large and has easy access to BPS. The decorations are really fun and the large indoor fish tank is super cool for kids. Negatives: the prices were very high on items you can find else where. 2. It has the obvious feel of a tourist trap. 3. Selection on ammo is poor. How can you ever give a Bass Pro Shop anything less that 5 stars, they are great stores. This one doesn't disappoint. Easily accessible from I-40, the store is huge. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Mr. B collects hats from Bass Pro Shop with the city name on the brim. With choices slim after the Christmas holidays, we had a hard time finding the hat. A friendly sales associate was more than willing to help and we were in luck. I love to stop into the food section, they offer regional specialties and the Oklahoma store didn't disappoint, jars of corn salsa, pickled okra, hushpuppy mix, jams and jellies. A great location to park overnight if you are a van lifer, have an RV/bus, or need a place to sleep and take a break from driving. They have a huge parking lot towards the back of the store and it's a nice peaceful place to sleep. cars do come around once in a while and bump music and police officers spend hours parked there at night. I stayed here often during my 3 week stay in OKC and found comfort parking close to other cars I recognized like a dude in a little school bus that parks there every night. Fairly good prices, superb variety, nice that they offer store brand lower quality for much cheaper but also carry top brands as well of course at a much higher price point. It's the norm, better selection of low and high price points but at a higher price. Crowds not too bad, restrooms and store nice and modern, clean, and organized. Huge tank of live fish and some superb stuffed game trophy animals. I love taking the kids at Christmas time for pics with Jolly old Saint Nick and all the games, they love it. Great selection of fishing gear, guns, ammo, archery, camping, boats, four wheelers, and any type of gear you want for the out doors. Their clearance prices to me are still steep. I gave a good review last week about our great experience and the helpful associate. We even went back the next night to purchase a troll motor. We had great service then as well. Then on November 26th we went back after making a purchase on line for a fish finder. We went into the store and Dallas told us they were all spoken for. We then went and checked up front and sure enough they said they were all out. We were upset went out to the car and decided to go back in and get a different one. When we were checking out a man that came in as we were the second time came up front with two fish finders. My boyfriend confronted Dallas and Dallas laughed at him. It was very disturbing since we did order one on line and here comes a guy 30 minutes after we inquired about it with two...he came in well after us. We did spend over $5000 in this store last week and were treated so poorly by Dallas. Very disappointing!!! Bass Pro you should do better than this!!! read more

This place is really neat. It is packed wall to wall with everything you can ever want or need for camping or hunting. They even have hiking sandals! I'm not sure I would ever hike with those but if you do they have them. The store is super clean and all the staff is very friendly. I had a flash back while in the kids isle because they have cap guns!! I haven't seen a real cap gun in years. I may go back and buy one. This store is great! This place should have been a fun shopping trip today, in and out after browsing a few areas of interest. The ONLY place I was treated decently today was back at the gun counter. The kid who helped me get my snake boots seemed to hate me, life, and everything Bass Pro. He was clearly annoyed when the price he rang up was full retail but the boots were on sale, on their site, and in their app for $40 off. That's the sole reason I came to this store. Then apparently I have to go to the front registers, and tell them about the price difference so they can "price match" their own damned listed price. That kid was more than happy to ring me up at full retail, and would have done so if I didn't want to know why their price wasn't being honored. THEN, the people at the front think I am using some other app, and are trying to tell which one...it was the BASS PRO APP, the boots were the same, the sku matched, but still they seemed annoyed with me. Well screw you all, all the way home. I will never spend another dime here! I couldn't even shop in peace because they are so desperate to get people to sign up for a credit card, or worse for some sort of BS vacation package. And vacation package lady didn't even remember she asked me already less than 15 minutes before in a mostly empty store. I hate this place! read more
