Especially for their clothing section. They have an extensive selection of clothes for men, women, and children. I especially love looking at the clearance sections for any running clothes. I have definitely scored big there for Under Armour or Nike brands. Other places like Dicks could have stuff on clearance yet still be hella expensive. Academy does it right tho! I love that they also specialize in all sporting activity to include fishing, archery, and guns. They are all much more reasonably priced than most places too. They also sometimes sell ammo by the can which is stupid cheap. Yup, like a legit sardine can that you need to cut open. That was fun! Sometimes theres also a stupid cheap price for their folding chairs and gazebos which we have always taken advantage of! They have the best quality ones for the best price! One time i swear i saw a lady walk out with 5 or more chairs cuz they were so cheap!

As a 28-year Navy Veteran and current high school teacher, I was treated like a criminal during a recent online order pickup.I arrived to pick up a shotgun and a pistol that I had already purchased online. I presented my receipt, ticket number, and debit card for verification. The transaction was handled by an elderly employee wearing a black mask. This employee demonstrated severe cognitive difficulties, repeatedly losing his pencil, misplacing my ID, and completely disappearing for 20 minutes. The entire process took over two hours.Despite successfully passing the federal background check, signing all paperwork, and verifying the serial numbers, the employee ultimately refused to release my firearms. His only justification was that I verbally confirmed I bought a shotgun and a pistol--the exact items on my receipt. When I escalated the issue to the store manager, Karla, she blindly sided with the employee's irrational decision instead of correcting the situation.This behavior is completely unacceptable, counterproductive, and disrespectful to law-abiding citizens and veterans. I request an immediate investigation into this store's management, the termination of the employees involved, and a resolution regarding my paid merchandise.

Just got my statement, and this location charged my card $7.00, nearly a 50% increase. Now at NO TIME did they mentioned any fees for card use. Boots (aftermarket style) being one of the most popular items sold at these locations.
