I have only been here once. So this review is not going to be the end all be all, and will need updating as time goes on and I frequent the place more. It's a nice looking place. Staff was friendly. They seemed to have a good selection of firearms, however, they also seemed to be kinda on the higher end of price ranges. But perhaps I'm spoiled. Because I buy most of my guns on the Army base. Slightly higher than average prices, very slightly, but being on the base, they have no sales tax, which saves ya quite a bit when buying firearms that are 100s or even 1000s. So why was I here? Welp, since COVID hit, ammo has been on a shortage dang near nation wide. And still, it's nearly impossible to find ammo at the store. You can buy online, but online prices have gone way up, because of the shortage. Well, for whatever reason, I needed some 9mm and .40c ammo like ASAP. I went to 3 different places, and all were sold out. So after that I started googling stores that sell ammo, and called each one. EP GE answered the call, and while they only had steel case 9mm, they still had it. This was for range use anyways, so I wasn't going to be to picky. So I headed out. Had to wait outside for awhile, since COVID they allow very few people in at a time. But after I was summoned in, they were friendly, helpful, gave me the ammo I needed and I was on my way. Once things ease up with this virus, I'd like to go back and see what all firearms they do have besides the ones I saw when I approached the counter. It looked like a nice, fully stocked store. Great selection, especially for new pistols. The crew was knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. Prices were comparable to other areas for new guns. They have some gunsmithing services but call in advance to make sure they can support it. They do optic mounts and bore sighting no problem. El Paso Gun Exchange is in a great location near plenty other businesses, near Fort Bliss and next to Lone Star Golf Course. Overall there is such a positive vibe about it. I visited because I was told they have great specials on bulk ammo. Note as soon as you get there do not get in line outside (due to COVID19 precautions) rather read their post, go in to sign in and then wait ti be called "You don't have to wait outside in the heat" because I did that. I waited outside in line for over 20 minutes under the sun to realize there was a sign in roster. It was a Sunday morning and overall I waited 1 hour to be called in. Once in their refrigeration rocks, they got plenty of staff who are helpful. If you have a gun/weapon and you go in there to buy accessories for it bring it with you to ensure the accessories fit. I didn't and had to come back because the accessories didn't fit. I was also sad that I waited for an hour and they didn't have the ammo I needed due to COVID19 back orders and unable to pre order. read more

We saw this place​ as we were driving by and made it a point to stop by and check it out. When we first walked in, it looked small but we were wrong! There is a lot of awesomeness packing into this place. If there is ANYTHING you need, they most likely have it. They have a wide selection of weapons and accessories. The staff there is knowledgeable and will spend as much time as you want to talk​ about any questions or experiences you have had. They don't​ rush you and give solid advice based on what you want. The purchasing process is quick and painless. We really appreciated the Blue Label discount/ordering. If we'd known about them, we'd have purchased our previous firearm from them as well. If you are military, chances are prices are better if not the equivalent as the px. We would have saved money (even including the taxes) on the pistol we purchased from the px had we purchased it here. So, yes, shop here! This place is great! All of the gun prices are MSRP. You wouldn't pay MSRP for cars and you should not for guns either. Only the uninformed shop here and think it is great - no one else. There are so many firearm dealers around here but I truly feel El Paso Gun Exchange has all the right qualities for a long term repeat experience. I placed a Glock Blue Label order from them and they handled the entire transaction flawlessly. Their very professional, no pressure and just really like to help customers get what they want. They def offer advice and the help if you want it but they can also tell if you dont lol. The store is bright and clean, the staff is friendly and the prices are great, especially if you take advantage of their blue label program. I give this store a 10 out of 10. Horrible service. Went in to store and while I was waiting for someone to help me, I overheard the male clerk which I believe is the owner talking about how much he hates when customers waste his time. He was telling another customer that he hates when guys go in and waste 2 hours of his time and don't buy anything. He then followed by asking why he should bother helping them the next time they go in the store. He was complaining on how some guys ask him to lower price. Keep in mind that there was customers in the store at the time. My advice to him is, you're in the wrong business pal. You can't force people to buy anything and shouldn't get upset when they don't, that's not how retail works. As far as pricing goes, you need to stay competitive. You mentioned that guys waste your time then go buy somewhere else, well hello! You're rude, don't greet customers, don't want to negotiate...what did you expect? read more

Took my AR in for repair had no idea what was keeping the bolt from riding forward. Genuinely nice store representative took a look at my weapon and had it fixed within 10 min with no charge. This is the first gun store to visit in El Paso! These guys get it! Super friendly and glad to see you when you arrive. Ask about a fire arm and they grab it, clear it and hand it to you and explain as you check it out. Great prices! Very good selection! Phone calls are given attention. I'm 20 years old and I have my LTC due to being military. Process was smooth and I walked out with my M&P 9mm. 4 days later the owner called me and said they were never allowed to sell me the weapon because I am under 21. He said his worker "assumed" I was 21 because I had my LTC when I know I stated I was 20. They were going to call the authorities if I didn't return the handgun when it was THEIR mistake. How do they let that slip by? Great place, but they should definitely check their workers before they get into serious trouble. read more
