Dicks sporting goods. More like Dicks ;) This store sucks, mainly because I went in with my friend Nathaniel, we were looking for golfing putters. We asked around and the employees ignored us and acted as if we were just there to work on something. We tried and tried to get their attention but they kept their conversation in a group circle formation. Let me see if I have this right. Dick's sells and services bicycles. They obviously cater to the bicycle crowd. There is a Bloomington bike path map. Wouldn't it behoove Dick's to have some of these maps around for their customers? But, NOOOO. They told me I'd have to go to the B-ton visitors' center to get this map! Whoever is running this store is NOT looking out for their customers. Hate to whine, but come on! read more

This company has no regard for the health and well-being-being if it's employees or it's customers. They have had employees, family/roommates of employees, and managers test positive for Coronavirus, yet continue to operate with business as usual, further exposing employees and customers. No testing has been offered or required of employees, even after positive cases. Clearly, the bottom line is the only thing this company cares about. I wouldn't set foot in there! read more

Disappointing customer service. My husband went there looking for a 308. The associate he asked about it was completely rude and unhelpful. He acted put out to be helping a customer. He handed my husband a 223 and said that he'd have to look in the back for the 308. He didn't offer to get the gun. He acted like he didn't know what he was talking about and didn't offer to find someone who did. Needless to say, my husband left before inconveniencing the useless guy anymore. Personally, I would have asked to see MGNT because I would hope they would want to know. They are certainly living up to their name, "Dicks". read more

You will not believe this because I'm still having a hard time grasping the whole experience that I had at Dick's Sporting Goods, Bloomington location. First of all I had a great experience at Dick's Sporting Goods store at the Greenwood location when I purchased a treadmill several years ago. The treadmill needed to be replaced. Because my experience was satisfactory I decided to use Dick's again. However, I have since relocated so I went to the Bloomington store. Went in the store picked the treadmill that I wanted to buy, but there were no sales staff around to help me. I went to the front cashier, told her I needed assistance in purchasing the treadmill. Shortly an employee (Danny) came to help, when I showed him the treadmill that I wanted to buy, Danny stated that I should purchase this other treadmill because it was much better then the one I had picked. He did not want to sell me the product that I chose. After several minutes of discussion it appeared to me that Danny was not knowledgeable of the product or store policy. Setting up deliveries, and warranties was the next problem, not one of the three sales people new why they could not finish the sale. Another employee suggested that it would be better to make the purchase on the internet. This is the first time that I have been told buy the product somewhere else. By now two hours later I realized that I've gone to the wrong place to buy my treadmill. Reluctantly I have to give a one star rating read more

I have to say this was by far my worst experience in retail store ever. The girl crystal who works here had very nasty attitude with very loud voice in front of kid. They showed me these shoes that they were saying just came in. My nephew wanted those and we went to the register the same girl who told us to purchase them was saying oh no we can't sell them because the shoes were rung up for $70. I told her I saw it being $70 and she was arguing that it was $115. After that she said well we can't sell them because they haven't been launched yet. I was so shocked and disappointed that I've never been to a store where I was told I can't buy something. If I agree for $115 she would've put them in the bag. I don't know if she was getting commission out of this or pleasure of having the power to say no because I put her on the spot. Whatever the case was she was extremely rude and her manager with short hair look like it was her mom or relative because she seem like she didn't even care what I was saying. I will go above the store management to discuss this experience. The worst customer service and experience ever. read more

The Dick's Sporting Goods store in Bloomington, Indiana participates in the old Bait-and-Switch method of advertising and displaying items at one price then ringing them up at a higher price. It would be interesting to know if this is a corporate-wide protocol or a just local-store protocol. When asked about the bait-and-switch maneuver that was being applied to me, the staff became very rude, unprofessional, and discourteous. One staff member went into the employees-only area in the back and refused to come out. A cashier, when asked about the bait-and switch tactic, said "You don't HAVE to shop here!" That is true. My dollars will be going elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE of the Bait-and-Switch tactic at Dick's Sporting Goods in Bloomington. The Customer Service there is very rude, unprofessional and discourteous.
