Worst shopping experience ever. Rude store management. I bought a Columbia jacket and within a week the zipper broke. I went to exchange and didn't find the same size and so I went to return. The person on counter said before returning he has to call his manager for inspection. His manager accused me breaking zipper on purpose for sake of returning. I asked for his manager. His manager said he will return the item but threatened to blacklist me by keeping my information on file. Also lectured me that they are not a rental place. I said with this experience I wont come there again irrespective of blacklisting or not. He said he would be better-off that way. All this happened in front of other customers and made me feel really uncomfortable. The managers should have realized that I came for exchange and not return. Anyway they could have stated their store policy that they don't return broken stuff and would have asked me to talk to Columbia if i believed its a defective item. I still don't understand why they accused me, escalate the situation, and did all this in front of other customers. read more

I went in looking for 4 items: duffel bag, knee pads, 4oz everlast mma gloves, basketball shoes. They only had 1 duffel bag that was too flashy and expensive. They didn't have any wrestling/basketball type knee pads. Their mma gloves were the cheap Century brand that doesn't have integrated wrist wraps. They had a very limited selection of either Nike or adidas hoop shoes. I left empty handed BUT I found everything I needed at Big 5 20 minutes later. read more

I ordered three bikes. Two came by delivery and I had to assemble them. It was a little difficult. The peaked are not perfect but it's ok. The problem was the third bike. When I picked it up from the store everything seemed fine. When I went to try it out in a couple days one tire was flat. I never rode the bike. I was told to return the tire and bike just in case. When I went to return it I should have just forced a whole new bike. Instead the tire needed fixing but took about 2 weeks. At first I was asked to pay to fix the tire which seemed crazy to buy a new bike then pay to fix it before it was ever used. In the end I didn't have to pay to fix the tire but spent 4 trips to the store to get a usable bike and took weeks longer than needed. Communication with staff was ok but really lacking. I never really knew what was happening or the plan. I'll probably try another store for my needs next time. read more

It's a nice store but unfortunately the workers don't seem happy. I had to go find help after standing in the soccer aisle for over 15 minutes. So unorganized and cluttered. Cleats at bottom of soccer accessory aisles and also found by the shoe area. Not much soccer cleats to choose from. At checkout, spent over $100 and cashier never mentioned rewards system. Had to go back in for something else, which 2nd cashier did ask if I wanted a rewards card. Of course I do, but geez I wish the first cashier asked. In order for me to claim points for first purchase, I have to call a 1-800 number. Bummer. read more

For the most part everything was fine during our purchase of a Sole elliptical. We were very happy with Dick's Sporting Goods service - and our purchase. Only problem was when we paid for delivery and set up (which was fine) he didn't carry away the huge boxes, plastic, and styrofoam. This should be part of the service. read more

We've shopped here for years and have always had a positive experience buying soccer, lacrosse and tennis equipment for our family. Update--- We live in the neighborhood and it's convenient for us to drop in so we've given Crossroads Dicks a number of tries and spent a fair amount of $ in there. It's fine for if you don't need any help and just want to pick something up. I knew that and commented about that before. However, my experience today set a new low and I've updated my review from two stars to one. I can not even believe they can stay in business with the way they treat people. Here's my story-- I went in today with my son to look at bikes and golf clubs. I was going to buy my son either a bike or a club to celebrate his 8th grade promotion. There were 4 guys in the bike area and not one offered to help my son find the right size bike. So, we moved over to golf and my son went into the golf club test area. After a very short time a very young male douchie clerk came by to kick my son and I out of the golf test area telling us we can't be in there unless we are going to buy something. He decided we didn't look like buyers without even talking with us. He was incredibly condescending and rude to both my son and I. I'm so offended I may never go back into that Dicks again. As we were driving away (without a purchase) my son says we shouldn't be surprised since the name of the store (Dicks) says it all. I told him, "Son, you are right about that for sure." read more

It's an absolute ghost town if you need assistance. The employee who finally helped us (after 30 minutes in the store) was depressed to the point I think he was just given his pink slip. The absolute worst customer service ever. Every employee was depressed, from the one that finally came to get a size 4 shoe for my daughter and made us feel we were doing him a disfavor. to the person who checked us out as if he didn't care. They obviously know something or they would have been fired by now. It's that bad. Dick's is obviously done, Wait for the Bankruptcy Sale before shopping there. read more

Me and my family have been excited SportsAuthorty was replaced by another sports retailer. We've been there a few times since the grand opening; lay out is great and service is, for the most part, good. Until today when i was trying to gift myself a new set of golf clubs. The sales assistant in the golf dept. was rude with me and my boys. Basically he was expecting us to buy without touching the clubs; when we asked about testing a couple of clubs he said we could test them if we were going to buy them !!?? he even yelled at my 11yrs old for grabbing a club. Keep in mind we had been in the store less than 5min, is not that we had been around hours annoying him and/or other customers. I asked to speak to the store manager, suggestion from other customer who watched the incident, but she pretty much ignored us. Anyway I bought a new set ($700) on one of the local golf retailers, service was great and the boys in the store were really helpful. I think that's the lesson learned here, if you are going to buy golf equipment go to a specialized store, same for soccer or any other sport you have an option. For all other sports, you will have to settle with Dicks or any of these big all-sports retailers . Sports Authority had much better service and they didn't make it; I don't think these guys will (unfortunately) read more
