I've been stalking this 8 foot kayak for the past 2 weeks and Friday I saw this location, which was the closest to me, only had 3 left. I called and asked if they could put one on hold for me, as I couldn't get out there until Saturday morning. At around 9am I showed up at this location and my kayak was saved. Also, I didnt know if it would fit inside my Jeep. I asked if I could return it within 5 minutes if it didn't work and the two employees, a male and female, were very nice, attentive and helpful. The male employee led me to the paddles, I got a whistle and then the female employee cashed me out. The male employee then loaded my kayak up. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would come back again when in the area. The store was clean and the employee were friendly and accommodating. read more

As an avid sportsman, soccer player, gym-goer, I often need one thing or another, and despite the lofty prices of Dicks these days, I'm all about Dicks. I like this location of Dick's. They don't always have as much stuff as the Transit one does, but they're a million times friendlier and better than the one in Amherst and the one at the Galleria, and particularly for the friendly employees, I have to give them a 3, which is quite high from me, especially when it comes to chain stores. There are Dicks everywhere these days. You will find Dicks in most cities, and they're usually pretty big. This one is one of the better Dicks. read more

All in all it's a smaller version of everything one would expect of DICKS sporting goods. Clean, good seasonal selection and works well with local sport clubs to push event sales for equipment and sportswear. Has an ice skate blade sharpening service and that is about the best reason we still go to keep my sons skates ready for the ice and pick up tape and such for the season. read more

Was surprised to find out they do bicycle repairs. Was delightfully surprised what a good job they did for a lot less than other local bike shops. They were also friendly and quick! And we didn't even buy the bike there... Definitely would go back not only for bike repairs put athletic clothing and ammunition great prices awesome place to shop. O M G. This is the best experience I've ever had at a Dicks. The day before I went to the one in Greece and it was HORRIBLE. The workers were letting no masked customers be in the store and smoke as well. Some of them even swore and were very disrespectful and unwelcoming. BUT THIS DICKS WAS THE OPPOSITE. They welcomed us right as we came in and asked if we needed help. They had such a good light spirit and worked with us to figure out our coupons and get the best deals. They were so kind and we even told the manager how amazing it was. This was such an amazing experience and I suggest everyone goes to this one ! A smaller Dick's store, but nice having one in Batavia that offers most of the same things that the bigger stores offer, plus it is nice to go in and out instead of having to wander through the large stores. This Dicks location is just like the others in that it's clean, well laid out and inviting... but that's where the positives end. Keeping this short and to the point: You may have the best store in the world, but when you sell sporting goods with clothes and shoes, you MUST have salesmen/attendants/managers around for questions and service. I spent about 5-10 minutes pacing every department around the shoes looking for ANYONE that could help me. After giving up (I was going to leave without buying anything at this point regardless), I took a lap around the whole store and still never saw one employee outside of the service counter or checkout. I asked a couple that was trying on cleats with their son if they'd seen anyone and they had not either (figured they might be in the back). They lost around $300 that day; I'll always go back at least once to give a spot a second chance, but to charge high retail and not have customer service reps available... They'll need to blow me away to change my rating. read more

We ordered equipment yesterday and put it on hold and they informed us to just come in and ask for the merchandise and we'd be in and out quickly. When we first walked in we could not find a store associate. We had to seek one out from another department and she said someone would be with us soon. We waited another 10 minutes and no one came. We went to the front and a gentleman named Tyler told us he'd help us. We followed him to the back of the store and he told us to wait there and he'd grab our order. We waited about 15 mins and there was nothing, we were about to leave. We walked back to the front of the store where we spotted Tyler and he informed us he had brought our order up there after only two minutes and couldn't find us, but we were exactly where he left us just waiting for no reason. Went in looking for low cut waterproof women's hiking shoes. There were 3 styles to choose from none of which none were waterproof. Meanwhile there were about 20 men's choices so the clerk told me to just choose men's boots 1 size smaller than what I'd wear in women's! Are you kidding me? The lack of selection of women's hiking shoes coupled with the suggestion that I just buy men's boots is insulting and sexist. I'll take my business elsewhere to a store that realizes women don't just wear men's boots that are one size smaller. read more

After trying for an hour to speak to someone at corporate in reference to ammunition. I was told that the customer service could only communicate with corporate through email and that they don't even have a number to contact them directly. I used 724-274-3400 which is the corporate headquarters. I asked to speak to customer relations and instead the operator transferred me to Field and Stream customer service. A consumer and customer of their stores can't talk to anyone at corporate unless you give customer service your information. They then have 24-48 hours to call you back. They are a total JOKE. Don't waste your time or your money there as they do not believe their customers are worth it. read more
