I love this place! The staff was so kind, and while it was BUSY yesterday, people move in and out at a steady clip so we had no problem finding a tee to get set up on. Everything is really well maintained and there's ZERO pretentious vibes, which I really appreciated as a beginner. You don't have to wear a fancy outfit, sneakers are perfectly fine, and there's golfers of all levels and abilities. Really nice! They also offer classes, and I think we're going to take one of their group offerings over the summer. We went with a large bucket to split for $16, and got in about 40 minutes of golf fun. I think the prices are pretty reasonable and I appreciate the large parking lot. A lot of sales inside if you're looking for any kind of gear! Wearables, carts, clubs, AND they do club fittings. The shop itself is a little old school and run down, but so is golf, so it is on brand. I never thought I would find myself interested in golf (my parents are both big golfers) but I actually find myself really enjoying it. I am looking forward to continuing my golf journey and many more trips to Big Oaks in the future!

They knew the ins and outs of every product they sold, and were able to show me lots of options based on the feedback I had after each round of demos. I ended up with the perfect paddle for me, at a price that beat the internet, and with much better service than you'd ever get when buying blind. I'll definitely be back for my next one!

They…read morehave a bunch of paddles/racquets that you can rent, there's a small fee per day ($5-$10 ish depending on how many racquets you're borrowing) and if you decide to buy a raquet from them, they will apply up to $100 of loaning fees toward your racquet. You can also rewrap handles here, they will do the installation for you or you can wrap it yourself. They had a pretty good variety of different grips you could choose from. I had them do the wrapping for me and it looks great, professionaly done. I've really never heard of someone having a bad experience here. Seems to be more or less the go to place for many racquet sports players. Their prices are on par with buying on the internet or below from my experience. Customer service was pretty good, they can get busy and it's a smaller store so that can be difficult if you have a lot of questions but the salesman was really good about truly focusing on who he was helping rather than leaving that person hanging to help many people at the same time. As long as you can be a little patient if they're busy, it should be overall, a really positive experience.

To make a long story short- it was uncovered that my driveway was never staked with their driveway markers so "the plow drivers never knew to come"... apparently my my contract, money, and close approximation to the business owner were still not enough to clue them in I was owed a service. I never received a refund or compensation for their error. By the time they realized their error it stopped snowing. I had a baby and didn't feel like going to small claims court.
