I'm giving this Dick's a five star rating for the service we received from Brett in the shoe department. We went into the store on a busy Friday evening with less than an hour till their closing. He had a ton of requests for getting shoes for people to try on and I'm sure it was frustrating. Despite this, he patiently helped everyone and we ended up there right until they closed. He never rushed us while we were making our final shoe decisions. He was very kind. Also, this store has a very large selection of shoes, which is a reason we came to this location rather than the one that is closer to our house. We will continue to prefer this location for athletic shoe selection. read more

My kids both didn't have a soccer team, so I last minute volunteered. I received a 20% off promo two days ago to help pay for gear. I realized today that it expired yesterday. The sales rep made an exception and honored the 20% off my purchase. Just in Ducks for the third time in two weeks. Today was $529.00 see attached photo. We also bought a Rawlings softball glove, regular cleats and turf cleats, and a $459.00 2020 Ghost bat! All of this equipment in the last 2 weeks. I asked the floor clerk to steam the catchers glove and he said no. Told me I had to pay $15.00 for this service! Even though I have spent almost $1,000.00 !!!! Here in the last 2 1/2 weeks!!!! NO COMMON AENSE OR CUSTOMER COURTESY HERE WHAT SO EVER!!! I had to ask for the manager and even then he gave me a hard time about providing this service!!! from now on we are never shopping at Dicks again!!! I was in Dick's Sporting Goods 2 days ago to purchase some new tennis shoes. They did not have my size in stock and said that they would mail a pair to my home, free shipping. I received the shoes as promised, however, they were not brand new. There was no paper inside of the shoes to keep the integrity of the shoe in place and one of the shoes looked like a display shoe. I am very disappointed after spending over a hundred and thirty dollars for a new pair of shoes only to get a pair that was obviously used. I will not trust them to ship me anything anymore. I live a distance from the store, and it is a major inconvenience to find a way to get back out to the store. read more

The place itself is absolutely gorgeous! Although, there was 1 employee that works upstairs in the soccer/football area that is short and overweight and has blonde hair on the top of his hair and refused to give me his name should be fired due to being unprofessional and very disrespectful to me and my husband. We had asked him for help on which soccer shoes to get and he responds back saying "maybe you shouldn't be getting them if you don't know how to play " like whaaaat?!? why was that even said!!! It's very sad when an excellent staff are let down by corporate policy, poorly worded advertising and unempowered leadership. After receiving my 20% off coupon in the email, I was excited to go in and purchase a Browning 22. After seeing all the various weapons in that class and being assisted expertly by the staff I made my purchasing decision. Only to find out that the coupon which only limited gift cards and clearance merchandise was not eligible for ammunition or firearms purchase. I was then informed that the only option with the display, which most assuredly had been dry fired on numerous occasions. Knowing the way that both the manufactures I was considering and behind their product is willing to take the chance and purchase anyways. All I require some discount for the inconvenience and in case I had to work with the manufacture as firearms purchases a final from this location. The operations manager Brad was consulted and declined any discount. Understanding that this may be an authority level issue I asked for the regional managers contact information, at which time Brad was called over in person to tell me know but they can give me the location where he is office. I find this approach to escalated customer situations deplorable. Brad been communicated that the regional manager would not change any of the decision, and I am unsure of the purpose of the statement other than to dissuade me from making the call. I was planning on purchasing a kayak this summer in addition to them fishing gear most likely by the end of the summer having spent well over $1000 at this location. I'm not impressed with this location. I might not visit another one. Store floor was messy and hard to find what my daughter needed for Tennis and Spirit Squad. We couldn't find an tennis racquet, shoes, or a water jug with a marked price for her. All we purchased was a clearance Nike top. During our search for tennis sport shoes, we only found the Prince brand, also without a marked price. Additionally, when we did ask for assistance the employee was clueless. He did call for assistance, but after 15min wait, we gave up. 5 gold stars for cashier services, as the line was long and they kept it moving, and were personable. read more

The guy at the golf counter was really nice but overall, I didn't find anything special about the place. Prices are pretty much manufacturers suggested price so I see no great savings. I was also very disappointed that there wasn't a gun counter in a sporting goods store. Shooting is an Olympic event and I find it disappointing they don't respect my sport. read more

Too pricey! Even clearance was outrageous. You ring a bell to get the try on room opened , which took too dam long for a thursday afternooon and pretty empty store. I was unimpressed with the customer service. We interacted with 5 different employees and only one was friendly and helpful. We asked one guy if they have __________ and he said yeah, its usually hanging on the wall somewhere and points around the huge ass room, as he saunters away.douche The one helpful gal helped us find them (she also didnt know where they were and had to ask some other unfriendly guy). Very messy!! The have a phenomenal place, but they should definitely clean it up a bit. The staff seem lousy also.

The store itself is a nice store. When I went to pick out shoes and asked a question the young guy back there was nice and helpful. So I picked out some shoes that online was on sale. They also had that same sale ticket on the shoe itself at the store. I wanted 2 pairs because they have been good to me while working out- anyway. I guess the shoe were not on sale and a young lady in the back said that they would honor that sale price because the ticket was still on the shoe. I said cool and kept looking. Didn't find anything else so I went and got in line. I told the sales lady what the other person said and she kept giving me a not on sale price. She called someone back there and they gave her a higher price. So I told her she could keep them and walked out. Keep in mind not one Dicks is around the corner from anyone- unless you actually live around the corner from one. I will never drive this distance for a maybe shoe again. 11/20/2017 dicks on cooper in Arlington My father lives in Massachusetts and was trying to get me a rifle for a gift. With the big sales we thought it would be a good time. My dad bought me a gift card and sent it to me via email. We thought it was going to be just like last time when I bought my shotgun a couple of months ago,at the same store, and used the same method of payment. The store manager would not accept it as a form of payment. There was no way to convince her that it can be used to purchase. She called me a liar about buying the shotgun like this. My father called to cooperate level and verified it being accepted! I mean what else is a gift card other than using it at their store. She told me she'll be right back because she was going to call for herself. She came back laughing and said that she was right. I didnt even see her pick up the phone and I was watching her. She was extremely rude and kept talking over me every chance she got. She was even muttering under her breath every time she walked by the other workers. No matter what, with her ignorance, she would've never changed her mind. That is by far the worst I've ever been treated at any business in my life. read more

Visited this location while on vacation to see a Cowboys game in September. Found a jacket that I loved, but was short on cash, and left it behind thinking I would order it from the website the following week back at home in Indiana. Being unable to find it on the website, I called the store and spoke with an associate who also could not find it online and said it was an in-store only product. Calling back a week later, on 10/11/18, and speaking with the manager, I believe it was Amy who spent the better part of 30 minutes on the phone with me trying to figure out a way to make this happen as they were unable to take credit card information over the phone or a check that was not presented in person. Ultimately this lady shipped the jacket to my local Dicks outlet free of charge and helped me make this transaction possible, going far beyond normal customer service. VERY pleased with this transaction and the Cowboys Varsity Super Bowl jacket is awesome! Thank you!!! read more

The place was half empty! Such low stock that it looked like they were going out of business. The health and fitness was a major disappointment. They lacked items like treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bikes, free standing weight bags. They only had 2 weight benches and 2 smith machine copies. Fishing was sad, ball shelves were not faced or tidy. Signage was extremely poor. Only football gear, golf, clothing and shoes were well stocked. This was a huge let down from the early 2000's when they had it all! Looking forward to Scheels coming soon. For now, I will visit sports authority and sometimes academy. read more

This place is terrible. I had the worst experience here. I was not greeted when walked in (which is not that big of a deal, but many stores do that), there were so many people walking around looking for help. I have been to the Dick's in North East mall, and they have staff in every section. I knew what I wanted, I just needed a different size shoe, and apparently they put all their stuff in the back, so I needed someone to get me my size. I walked around a lot, and even stood in the cashier line so that they can send help. Two people before me needed help as well. I finally found someone to help me, but he did not look like he wanted to be there. He brought me the wrong size shoes. Then, another person came by who was so much better. I really hope I don't have to come back here. The employees here need customer service training. read more

The one time I come by and shop here... I've done my research and knew what I needed, and I got to the store at 9:25pm to get a Yeti tumbler for work. The guy with the gray hair immediately tells me the store is closing at 9:30pm and rolls his eyes at me. No "hi welcome to Dick's, just to let you know we'll be closing soon but if I can help you with anything let me know." Or any variation of that greeting. It made me feel unwelcome in the store when all I wanted and I went straight for it, was a Yeti tumbler. That really ruined my mood and doesn't want to make me shop here anymore. Just had the worst customer service experience in the shoe department at Dick's Sporting Goods. A young man named Jonathan used sarcasm in his attempt to "help" me with my shoe selection. When I asked for a different salesperson, I was given the shoe department manager, essentially. She helped me somewhat, but was not courteous or friendly. The whole time she was with.me, Jonathan was standing behind her making faces at me and smirking!!! Needless to say, I was ready to get out of there. The only saving grace of the entire store was the completely friendly and helpful greeter at the entrance (a nice lady with long blonde hair) who promised to pass my concerns to my manager. I normally don't write poor reviews like this, but this staff needs to be trained in customer service. read more

I wish I could give this less than one star. We were looking for water shoes and my boyfriend found the small section where there weren't many selections. He tried a few on and they didn't fit so he sat down and was lacing up his boots and a manager came over and told us we couldn't camp out and I tried to explain the situation and tell her we would be leaving in two minutes and she told us we need to leave very rudely. I don't know if it was because we're teenagers or what but it was totally unnecessary as I had just bought something so we weren't loitering.
