Prior to having my tint done here at Ace tint and ppf I had a horrible experience at a local shop that said they were 3M authorized but never gave me a warranty from 3M. If you have 3M window tint you know what I'm talking about. The tint shop will give you their shop warranty but 3M is also supposed to give you one. I wasted time and money at that other shop but hey, you live and you learn. I texted Jerry a little after 11am that I've arrived to my location and asked where he was. He texted me back stating that he has equipment trouble and to rearrange a different day. Call me old fashioned but I believe equipment should've been checked the night before prior to meeting a client and also if the morning of equipment was found not working the client should be notified immediately and not last minute. I thought that was very unprofessional. Finally met up with Jerry at my location on Wednesday and he cleaned my car. I did a quick check around the car while he was pointing out the stains that were removed on the car seats and to air dry the car by leaving doors open. Most of the exteriors were cleaned and the interiors were nice and shiny after the clean. He did mention that stains may lift again in a couple days even after being cleaned. After he left, I see that he completely missed the front bumper leaving oil stains and other dirty marks on the front bumper. The small space by the trunk where the leaves collect were still dirty. I texted Jerry the pictures of the spots he missed and he stated he can come a different day to clean it off. I arrived to my location after we've established a time and day and I texted him. Again, he cancelled the last minute. Again, we've set another time/day and he finally cleaned off the spots that he missed including removing the stains that lifted. Overall, he did a great job with my car and removed the stains from my car seats. He did keep his word and cleaned off the spots that he missed and also removed the stains that lifted. The only thing that kept me from giving the 5 stars was that I thought it was very unprofessional of Jerry to cancel that last minute. Twice. After much consideration, I decided it was time to replace her stereo with something that had a few more bells and whistles. I wound up putting a project out and collecting bids with the best experience coming from Planet Stereo. Gilbert offered a great price, now let's go through the actual installation. I was quoted $500 out the door for a mechless receiver and all of the aftermarket parts to install. It was quite a steal. After looking up the specific stereo, I figured this was acceptable and made the drive. Gilbert suggested the install would take about 2 hours, so I planned for a good amount of time for this. Now, it did take longer than expected. However, I was warned of that when I arrived, as they were busier than normal the day I opted to drive over. They do have a lounge area where you can sit and watch TV while you wait. I would suggest bringing something to snack on. There are some restaurants somewhat nearby, but refreshments while at the store are lacking. That said, I was comfortable enough watching a Rams game while they worked away. The result was a perfect install. They did apologize for the length of time, but I was okay with that, since I got to watch the entire game. The gentleman working the floor (forgot your name, sorry!) walked me out to check out the job and show me some of the basic functions of the new deck. They did need parts that they didn't factor into cost, and included them at no additional charge to me. And the deck, while an off name, did have some very important features like wireless Apple CarPlay - a huge win at that price point. They even have a finance option, which can amount to 90 days same as cash (with small processing fee) or longer terms if needed. Great install, and great staff. Higher end options also available if you have the budget, which I did not.
