Amazing service and phenomenal food!! I got the bone in wings and some Mac, they were both delicious and I'll definitely be back for more

We ordered in, the guy who took our order was polite and easy to work with. Our group got one two meat meal, one one meat meal, and a sandwich combo. Ordering was easy and fast, the restaurant was clean and cute like they normally are, but I agree with commenters who say the bathroom could use a good deep clean! The brisket was good, a tiny bit fatty, but nothing crazy, the pulled work was melt in your mouth perfect, the polish sausage was garlicky and good, and the cheddar jalapeño sausage on the sandwich was great! I live potato salad and this was as good as any deli, the fries were crispy, the mac was mid, and the pickle seasoned okra was 9.5/10 (light on seasoning, but sooooo delicious!!!). I'd stop again, I'm guessing based on other reviews that this place is good in person, and not great at pickup orders. read more

My husband thought they were great. I thought they were just good. Got a rack and a half the small one was better due to the fact that the large rack was overdone. Next time I will ask to look at them before buying. read more

i ordered on the app it said it was ready at 7:30pm. i arrived at the drive thru was told to hold on which i did. after a few minutes was instructed to drive up to the window. no one was there to greet me? after about 15 minutes with no interaction. i called the store where no one picked up! i could hear it ringing! finally a worker went into the cooler i flagged her down. she came to the window and once again i'll brb! after several minutes later. a different co.worker i assume was the guy on the speaker handed me my food. i then said well do i at least get a coupon or maybe a cookie for waiting? he said i'm sorry they're only 2 of us! i have worked in customer service my whole life that includes fast food?! i then told him i would be calling management tomarrow. i know this part was.not their fault being understaffed! however they forgot my pickle fries which was their fault! unfortunately i didn't realize this until on was back on the freeway. where i currently work we do not leaving the customer hanging like this! also we make it right! this was my 2nd and last time at place! read more

Don't waste your money. Ordered 2 keep it simple baked potatoes alexra cheese got 2 cold turd like things with cheese on them and nothing else. Call up to restaurant and the kid says the order ready just cheese no son it didn't and that is not even an option then hung up phone. I call back get lied to gain and no manager there to talk to. Call this morning to talk to manager he said he would get back to me later today HE didn't. I call back get told oh no it has to be requested by HQ and that won't happen until tomorrow and no manager no owner to speak too. Nothing Dickeys dicked me out of 24 bucks.with out a high bye or kiss my butt. Worst most disgusting place to deal with. Might as well drive by and throw money at them. Because you just made a donation to the owner because he won't be around for 4 days to handle this stupid issue. Dick off Dickey's. read more

Service was incredible and efficient! The young lady behind the counter was super helpful and continued to check on us to make sure we weren't lacking anything. #1 ribs and smoked wings in our book! Yum read more

Craving brisket like crazy so sweet husband drove with our children 40 minutes one way to go get Dickeys for dinner. He places the order and gets held up waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru because we had asked for a gallon of sweet tea. 20 minutes of this was waiting for them to figure out how to fill that order since they had run out of lids for their jugs after they already gave him the food. Eventually they send out 4 large cups full of tea. He gets all the way home to find out it's UNsweet tea! They kept him waiting all that time for THE WRONG THING when they could have just said they were out, and not charged him. Oh but wait, there's more.. I'm the one who wanted this in the first place, guess whose food wasn't even in the bag... yep! My brisket, literally the main reason for going was missing. In all fairness, he had time to check the bag while he was sitting there, but frankly, he really shouldn't have to and he didn't want to pull it all out then have to move when the tea came out. I called the restaurant and "the manager" (highly doubtful since she had to ask someone else about everything I said) said the best they could do was remake my food for him to drive alllll the way back to get. I asked for a refund of the missing food and the tea that was wrong instead of wasting the time and fuel. She said she figured out how to do that. Just did my budget today, and she didn't even do that either! I've had some really great Dickey's experiences, but this place is just not one of them. We've tried it three times and each time is worse than the last. read more

We went there last night for some good bbq (or so we thought). The bbq sandwich had next to nothing on it and meat was maybe lukewarm. The Mac and cheese was hot with zero taste. The $10.00 baked potato was not even warm. The butter and cheese wouldn't even melt. I had to ask for the meat that was supposed to be on it. Now the last part is she messed up our order and thankfully we caught it. The cashier had to redo the final cost 3 times. We won't go back . So disappointing. read more

Went to this place on memorial day ordered beef brisket, ribs, chicken sandwich. Gave chicken to wrong person, had to wait for my brisket got it was square cubes wouldn't stay in sandwich full of fat squares, never ever had brisket cut like it. Ribs were too fatty to eat. Went to restroom filthy shoes were sticking to the floor. Hand dryer was so small didn't recognize it as that was so hard on my ears I couldn't use it. Need less to say I won't ever be back. read more

DO NOT DO CATERING OT THIS PLACE. We placed an order months in Advance at now we have over 100 people at a wedding waiting. This is not ok.

Don't cater from dickeys, especially this one in North Branch. Management will twist your words and lie about what they said, make up excuses for their poor service and food. If you have to, emails only. Hannah, the catering manager, will lie about phone conversations you've had and agreements. read more

Not bad, smells great from the outside too. Just wish the plates came with a drink. My table didn't have any sauce on it but the service was pretty good read more

First time...... Definitely will be back, our cashier was awesome... So many choices, everything smells so good!!!

Amazing customer service. We were running late and they took care of us. Never rushed us and even told us it was fine to eat dinner in the restaurant. I was expecting to be chased out but no, they were super friendly and took care of us. This was on 18 October. we had been hunting all day and were driving home l, 2hour drive. I needed the driving break and refreshments. Thanks again. read more

I love Dickey's and wish it was closer, but since there's some weirdness, I cannot go high on the stars. First of all, they win the award for the most confusing drive thru. They need signage for people who aren't locals. Fortunately, a local was leaving the drive thru and directed me. Second, they have you sign the credit card stuff still. If that's a product of their credit card provider not realizing we're in a pandemic, they need to get a new provider. Their ice tea was great and I got one pull pork slider and one beef. I got the spicy sauce which weirdly wasn't spicy. This is a Texas chain, so I'm not sure if they dial it down for Minnesota. I've seen them in Texas, so I know they're not making up they're from Texas. The meat and buns were tasty. Now that I know how the crazy drive through works and to have my own pen ready to sign the credit card, I'll be ready to go back. read more

Very disappointed. Went thru the drive thru because we were in a hurry. Looking forward to a brisket plate with Mac and cheese and green beans. My husband ordered a brisket sandwich plat÷ with cole slaw and fries. We both got burnt ends after we said we didn't want them. Very dry and stringy. In need of a ton of BBQ sauce. I got mac &cheese with mashed potatoes and the hubby got soggy onion rings with mashed potatoes. No gravy, no butter for my roll. It wasn't the dinner I was expecting. I called them from the road and they said we could come back $or our order or a discount on a future order. read more

Sunday afternoon at 1:15 and a long line. An indication of good food? Ineffective service? Maybe a tish of each. Inefficiently, we waited in a line that was not in front of the large menu. We alternated sending people from our group to look at the menu. We decided on the 2 pound/2 meat combo and we chose beef brisket and pulled pork. It came with two sides and we ended up getting four: waffle fries, Caesar salad, and two Mac and cheeses. With 2 drinks and two water cups we were very close to $70. The meat: lukewarm but decent tasting. My husband thinks it as much more than #2. The BBQ sauce: regular, sweet, spicy and good tasting. The Caesar salad: good. Waffle fries: good. Mac and Cheese: daughter liked it, son didn't. Tables were a wee too close together, one unisex bathroom, friendly mom in charge of a bunch of teenage employees and she asked how our food was, oh, and free soft serve vanilla cone! read more

Wow what a cool looking store ! Love the shirts. Staff was really friendly and getting that food out quickly! Their indoor dining is open. The food is good. Their pulled pork is not fatty. The brisket was done well, very tender. The manager came by the table and talked with us. I've seen that at a lot of Dickeys and it helps personalize the restaurant. read more

Ordered food right after they opened for delivery. Delivery said it'll take 45 minutes but got the food in 30 minutes. Spent over 150 bucks just to get old food. The wings, brisket and ribs were old. Meat was dry and felt like it was thrown into the microwave before delivery. It's going to be the 1st and last time I order from this place. Just moved up here and heard a lot of good reviews about the place and thought I'd try it out but I am very disappointed. I'll just stick to Famous Dave's in Forest Lake. Please throw away your old fries and meats. read more

Food was good. Staff were very nice and helpful but very unprofessional. Place was filthy--floors, drink and sauce area and bathroom. We have been to this location a few times and I don't recall that it was this dirty. When the public areas are this gross, you kind of wonder what is going on in the areas you don't see. Seems like it would be an easy fix so I hope that happens. read more

We have eaten here before and had look forward to it all day after driving from Canada 6 hours. We were greeted by the dining room being closed and in need of a rest room. Had to go through drive through and again eat in our car. The young person was friendly and the food came out fast. To our surprise it was Luke warm. We had to eat in our car BBQ. They supplied us with1cutlery set which had a very small napkin for two people. Like I said I had a great experience before and will try again but I was disappointed. The food was good even being cold. Just wish it was better. read more

Had ribs on Sunday. They were inedible. Were grossly overcooked. Potato salad was great.

If there was a way to choose a negative star, I would give this place 2 negative stars. Service is beyond lousy! Portions are minimal, even for children. My 7 year old grandson ordered 3 chicken and cheese tacos....I was shocked and appalled when the shell of the taco was only 3" in diameter; he ate 4 and was not full; by no stretch of the imagination is this child an over-eater nor is he over-weight. I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs and received exactly 4 1" ribs all for the high price of $12.99; they only serve pork ribs! NO beef ribs. The chicken nuggets were expensive and way out of line. Taste was lousy. Food was set up on the counter and left setting for over 15 minutes...pork cannot be left out that long to the elements. The "kids" behind the counter were swiping at their noses then handling food. Even the 7 year old said YUCK when he saw the young man swipe his nose then touch the child's food. read more

I stopped in Dickey's on my way back to Minneapolis after a quick trip "up north" to check on the status of the ice at a couple of my favorite fishing spots. While I had seen signs for the brand in a number of states, this was the first time I visited. I'm glad I did. I received a nice greeting from the staff who also took time to familiarize me with the menu. They also recommended the "Meat plus 2 sides and a huge soft drink" special which turned out to be a good deal. I opted for the pork sandwich, bbq beans and mac and cheese. Plus, I had a kids- sized vanilla cone for the road and it's a freebie! A nice touch. My order was prepared right in front of me and was done quickly. Obviously everything was hot but it was also fresh...nothing had been sitting out and I later learned the place did not have a microwave...what a concept! Of the 3 different sauces I tried the Dickey's "house" version and the "sweet" which was my favorite. The size of the portions were perfect for a late lunch. While the staff was very personable I also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner (Rick) who, by the way, is also a hands-on operator. He is obviously focused on staying in contact with guests while providing fresh food served by a smiling team. Another concept that should be of interest to the area competition. I now have a "go to" place when coming and going from the lake that's just off I-35 where the staff serves good food with a smile. I'd recommend buying "in bulk" when headed north to eliminate having to cook on arrival day at the cabin. Maybe I'll see you there! read more

I would say realistically my vote would be 3.5 stars. It is good barbecue for the options I have found in MN. We actually eat here on a fairly regular basis to get our BBQ fix. This doesn't compare to real BBQ in KC, Memphis, Texas, or Carolina but it is pretty decent if you're not in one of those places. They have ribs that are pretty good. They can be hit or miss at times. Much of the time the ribs are meaty and fairly juicy. Put a little brush of sauce on em and they are a good dinner. The brisket is also pretty good most of the time. I prefer the chopped brisket to the sliced brisket as you tend to get a little less of the fat and more meat. I have also tried the pulled pork and sausage. The pulled pork is quite good although I still like the brisket better. The sausage is ok but not one of my favorites. The sides are also pretty good. My preferences are the jalapeno beans and the mashed potato casserole. We've also tried most of the others and they are pretty good as well. All in all, Dickey's is a good place to get BBQ when you're not in one of the meccas of BBQ. read more

Until recently I never heard of this BBQ chain. It's a chain that started in Texas and is now expanding to MN. It's very unassuming in appearance and is like a Chipotle for BBQ inside. You stand in line to place your order, get your drinks and sit down. Most definitely a fast food BBQ joint. HOWEVER!!!! STOP IN AND TRY THE Q!!! Seriously, I was not expecting BBQ this good coming out of a strip mall fast food looking BBQ chain in rural MN. And do try the fired okra. read more

Utterly underwhelming. As others have noted, this place looks dirty. I hope its just looks. Service was fairly fast. Prices seemed a bit much for the portion. I got both the brisket and pulled pork and was hugely disappointed with both. I tried 2 of the 3 sauces they had. Both were runny. Like someone put water in them to make them last longer. Both tasted terrible. Against my better judgement, I'll reluctantly try here again. I guess. If I have to. read more

Stopped in for a bbq fix on the way home from the lake. We walked in at 8:15; the store's hours said it was open until 9. We might as well have been invisible to the crew since they were so focused on getting ready to close. They did take our order but the kid running the register couldn't find the key for the combo we ordered, kept asking what side we wanted with a combo that comes only with coleslaw, looked at me blankly when I asked for pickle spears and was confused about why we would give him $10.15 to pay a $9.13 bill. All he had to do was punch the numbers into the register. And to top it off, NO ICE CREAM! Had we come in 10 minutes before closing, I could understand but 45 minutes? read more
