Okay--the food was good. It was fine. What was not fine was that it was hotter than mount doom in there. Oh my goodness gravy--I could not even enjoy the food because sweat was pouring down my body. The service was good! But you sort of forget all the good stuff when all you can think 'bout is how humid and stuffy the room is. Music was nice! But could hardly hear it because I was focused on trying to stay as cool as possible. Maybe it's a me problem, idk. read more

Had the Two-Meat Brisket and Chicken with Green Beans as a side along with Fried Okra. Meat was well prepared and tasted great along with the sides, although the Green Beans were a bit spicy for this guy, but not a deal breaker. Sweet Iced tea & tangy, spicy bbq sauce. All for $32. We live an hour away and we will be going back. Also, the staff were great! Happy to see us, happy to be there, friendly and welcoming. the dining room was beautiful, clean and felt very comfortable. Overall great experience. read more

Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Saturday Special - brisket sandwich and two sides. - Barbeque Near Me - Gillette, Wyoming

Food was super good! We came at a quiet time of day, so had the whole place to ourselves. Service was really friendly!

Had the loaded baked potato with the jalapeño sausage. Potato could have been cooked a bit longer but over all good especially with seasoned peel. Sausage had good jalapeño smoked flavor but not overwhelming. read more

Delicious brisket sandwiches with lots of lean meat. Great BBQ sauce selection! Love the potato salad. Great ambiance and friendly service. read more

It's alright, pretty good, best BBQ in town, small portions of meat and the burnt ends aren't great tasting. The sauce is very thin, and the rolls are obviously frozen or something. The redeeming qualities would be that the sides are generous portions so they will fill you up where the meat won't, the okra was good, and the onion rings were pretty decent. While the rest of the BBQ was just mediocre the brisket I must admit is some of the best I've had, and I grew up on a cattle ranch. The free soft serve is definitely a plus and the thing that might bring me back in the future because while some things disappointed me, free all you can eat soft serve while watching football sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Saturday. PS- not sure why some of the other comments praise this place like some kind of amazing barbecue joint. I think Gillette is just not used to good barbecue. I say that because Famous Dave's is another chain bbq restaurant and it blows this place out of the water. I feel they use the soft serve gimmick as a way to compensate for meat that is subpar compared to other BBQ. read more

This place was awesome! Great atmosphere inside very cool decorations. Workers were very welcoming and helpful and food tasted great! Very reasonable price for the serving size and quality of the food. Highly Recommend giving this place a try. read more

Portions were extremely small, and the sliced brisket had no smoke ring, and had the flavor like it was cooked in a crockpot. The ribs were OK and the sweet sauce taste like it was 50-50 with pancake syrup. The staff were definitely lacking and failed to tell me that they were without any type of ice for drinks when I made my order. I would not eat at this restaurant again, unless I was with a group that chose to go there. read more

So very glad we have a Dickey's back in Gillette!! The restaurant is amazing, nice and open feel with music at the perfect volume and awesome location. We have visited the times since they opened last week and every time the staff has been top notch. Very friendly, helpful, and fast service. The food is wonderful. They are doing an amazing job! My new favorite place to eat in Gillette! The best Dickey's I've been to yet!! read more

While in Gillette, Wy we discovered this gem that has awesome ribs, smoked brisket and pulled pork. The sides are okay, but the coleslaw is scrumptious. Great deals on the app. Terrific soda machine for mixing sodas. Nicely decorated restaurant with big screens all around. Clean place. The thing that keeps us coming back....free ice cream! This place is Awesome. One of our favorite places in Gillette, Wy. read more

Great bbq and friendly staff. Ribs and brisket with baked potato casserole yum. Multiple beers on tap and they have a full bar.

Good run of the mill barbecue if your just looking for chain food. Specials are nice.

fantastic food and amazing customer service!! I placed an order online to pick up and I was in a hurry and didn't check the bags thoroughly before I left. I got home and I didn't have 4 pulled pork sandwiches. I called them up and they asked if I'd like to have them delivered. I said yes, absolutely. They were delivered within about 15 minutes, the sandwiches were fresh and warm, and they even included some extra cookies and brownies. That is the kind of customer service that's not so common these days and it is so appreciated! read more

Just stopping through Gillette for a break from the road and a bite to eat. The food was pretty good but it was served on the cold side as other reviewers have noted. I like my food hot! I had the burnt ends and the brisket. The burnt ends would have been better if warm. Cold fat is kinda gross. My brisket was also cold and a bit dry. The BBQ sauce was good but on the watery side. Service was okay. That's about it. If I lived here, I'd probably try it again. Others noted that the portion sizes were small, but I thought there was plenty. read more

We got 3 sandwiches and one turkey meat plate. Meats tasted great but... Turkey was stone cold and other meats were almost warm. Macaroni was dry and cold. Onion tangles were excellent Would have given 4 stars if meats and Mac & cheese were warm read more

Dickey's food is always on point .. that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Staff was helpful, quick and friendly. Although, the kind lady that helped me did call me "ma'am" . Absolutely no complaints. My brisket sandwich craving is satisfied, for now. read more

We decided to stop in Gillette for lunch. We decided on Dickey's because of the reviews. Being from Texas , we are familiar with Dickey's but not our usual BBQ place. We got the daily pulled pork special, the brisket tacos, and kids pulled pork. Even with two picky eaters we all really liked everything. As a Texan the brisket and pork was very good, loved the bark and liked my brisket lean. The green beans was the only thing that was so-so. Definitely a great place to eat and my kids at everything on their plates. Bonus dessert. read more

We had a great family meal at this location. Pulled pork and chopped brisket were perfect! The okra was fresh and hot. The worker with the blond curly hair was super helpful and nice! read more

Great BBQ restaurant! Best in Gillette. They are outstanding for their service. It's a quick in/out and if you preorder for pickup or delivery you will be well taken care of. Their fried okra is the BOMB! I highly recommend the chopped brisket or pork. And Sundays kids 12 and under eat free! read more

This was really bad Barbecue I ordered the one meat with barbecue beans and cole slaw, the food had no flavor and the meat portions were small, I am from Texas and eat at Dickey's barbecue there, this place does not even come close to the quality that I am used to. read more

This is the nicest and largest Dickey's I've been too. Long line at lunch time which is a good sign. Orders the two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both were very good. Enjoyed the bbq bean and the Mac and cheese was okay. No Apple Pay at POS which would speed up the line since they are still requiring a signature. Good portion sizes. Decent free WiFi (9.3 Mbps down, 1.0 up). read more

Absolutely loved the potato casserole, mac& cheese, and fried okra. The meats were not all that. The brisket and pulled pork were dry.

I love the new location. The staff is super friendly and the food tastes so great! I'm so glad we have Dickey's back in town!

We enjoyed our meal at Dickey's very much. Pulled pork, ribs, and brisket were perfectly seasoned and very tender. Great sides, too. If you're dining in, you walk through the serving line and seat yourself, no service involved. We would definitely eat here again. read more

Great food and great service! Try the jalapeño kielbasa sausage and the bakers. The warm bbq sauce is a nice touch, but caution on spicy bbq sauce it will burn real good. The kids love the free ice cream. read more

we generally like Dickies. we prefer sliced brisket. over the last couple of months, the sliced brisket as served has been poor. the fault lies with the meat cutters. they fail to separate the brisket layers, fail to trim the excessive fat from the meat, and they can't tell the difference between slices and chunks read more
