Dickey's is my go to for a quick BBQ sandwich for lunch when I'm in the Baytown area. I go to the one at I-10 and Main and always receive great service and hospitality. They provide all the fixins and consistently make a very good sandwich. I like their potato salad and usually add another yellow cup to my collection. The BBQ sauce is flavorful and not too sweet as many others go overboard. The Dickey's app is a very easy way to get everything on the go. read more

The barbecue ribs were very good. The pork burnt ends were just so so. Overall a good place to grab some Texas barbecue.

Dickey's BBQ is one of several barbeque spots in Baytown. I would argue Baytown is a pretty competitive market for good BBQ, but Dickey's holds it's own. I wouldn't say it's mind blowing or anything, but it's good BBQ at a good price. The service is a little slow so they definetly need to work on that. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by Dickey's BBQ for a cheap good lunch. read more

The food is usually good, but a bit over priced for BBQ. We've ordered takeout/delivery a few times and things were ok. Went in to order in person and no other customers were inside. No clear direction on where to place an order. There's a sign pointing to a side that says DINE IN with an arrow. So after standing awkwardly for a few minutes looking at each other, we go to the cashier and ask if this is where we place a to go order. Employees are wearing masks, he just points to where the sign is. Um ok, walk down to that end, employee asks what we want, we tell her, but apparently you're only supposed to give her your meat selection, then move and tell the next employee your side selection. Tell the next employee what two sides we want to hear they're out of spinach, ok can I have cabbage slaw instead? Get to the cashier and the girl making the sides asks again, what do you want for your second side? We don't have spinach, I ask do you have cabbage slaw? She says yeah, but we also have, and starts listing several items. It's ok, I'd rather just get the cabbage slaw if spinach isn't available and she says ok your choice but it's not very good. Well I didn't take any pics. The slaw was fine. My ribs were dry and brisket was unflavored and cut incorrectly, it was dry as well. Not sure I'll be spending $30 for 2 BBQ plates no drinks, anytime soon from a chain restaurant. We did the 2 meat special and got sausage and brisket. It was pretty delicious. The only thing I would have to say is that when we walked in we were not treated or told how the process worked. I walked up to the very tall counter to look at the menu and the staff ignored me up until I walked up to the register. The food is pretty tasty. It's not the best BBQ ever but it's good stuff (the only thing I'm not huge on is the creamed spinach. If you don't mind canned spinach, you might like it). My biggest problem with this place is I've ordered delivered via Waitr twice and both times the order has been wrong. Back in Texas after a 19 year absence... and wanted some BBQ. Local resident (daughter) suggested Dickey's might be OK.... though she had never been there before..... Food - standard chain BBQ - nothing special - nothing bad.... sauces - lots of options - which the food needed.... Sides: Mac n cheese "Meh".... Fried Okra... "who can screw that up?".... Green beans.... even my vegetarian daughter couldn't eat them.... Biscuits....hard hockey pucks that the dog loved to play with.... Edible - sure.... fantastic - nah..... Biggest issue I had: meats come in 1/2 pound servings.... I ordered the 2lb family pack.... and tried to order 4 1/2 pound servings of various meats..... "Oh no sir... you can only order 2 meats..... and ribs are not an option!!! HUH?? So a pound of brisket (okay stuff) and a pound or chicken (actually very good - though only one person wanted chicken so the dog had lots of leftovers)... Would I go back..... ??? We ordered a large order tonight and they offered to deliver!!! It was delicious food, included all the condiments and sauces, plates, silverware...they even came in and set up and could not have been nicer. We got brisket (yum!), turkey (yay!), cheese and jalapeño sausage (heck yeah!) and ribs (RIBS!) with the yummiest mashed potatoes, amazing green beans, fried okra, macaroni, and really solid coleslaw with great rolls! Ordered the pulled pork plate online, it came with 2 sides and a roll, it tasted great. They didn't receive my online order, it was sent to the wrong location, no fault of the business from what I seen. My husband and I had been looking forward to the Dickey's BBQ in Texas City opening. Today we had the chance to go and was very disappointed. He got the brisket and I got the ribs. Order food from here and for two adults and one kid we spent 45 dollars. We spend less at kings and enjoy the food way more. Every other bite out of my brisket was burnt and the ribs where the same way. Side selection isn't all too great either. Maybe they where just having a bad day, but I don't think I will ever go back. read more

The only reason it gets a star is because I have to. When you place the heal on someone's sandwich that's a big No No. May not have been so bad but it had Zero taste,almost total fat. I'm only giving this restaurant 3 stars because the manager/owner of the establishment was extremely friendly and understanding and went out of his way to accommodate us. Unfortunately, for the price of our bill and the portions we received it was overpriced. Compared to Kings BBQ, this restaurant gives you a spoonful of meat. It's great if you were on a diet, but who watches how much they eat when BBQ is involved... we had yet to touch our food when my partner and I decided to bring the manager over and politely asked for a refund and he suggested giving us more food to accommodate us, but at this point we just wanted to go elsewhere. Even when he gave us the refund he wanted us to take/eat what we wanted. We just left without touching our food ultimately. Very nice business owner, but over priced food. I'm just looking bust out these jeans after a finger licking meal tbh. Ps. The cup the potatoe salad is in is not Dickey's supplies it's something they went out and bought because they ran out. He said it was actually more side than what the Dickey standard sides give and that's still too little of a portion for $12 when I can get a bowl of potato salad from Kings for $9. read more

Was there last night. Don't recommend the baked potato. I got it with chopped beef. The problem is they don't open up the potato, just put a cut down the middle and put a few cuts sideways. I asked for it loaded, could not taste any butter, or any sour cream. There was only about 2 Tbs of chopped BBQ (which tasted pretty good), some cheese and green onions. Even with the BBQ sauce (which was excellent), the potato was dry. After breaking up the potato and mixing up the toppings in the potato, only about 1/3 of the potato had enough, so I left 2/3 of the potato. I will probably go back to try some of the meat by itself. From what I could see from my friends though, the portions are small for the price. I don't believe they actually BBQ on the premises as I could see no place for an outside pit. I think it comes in prepared and they warm it up in the oven. read more
