We went for a Test Drive and he explained all of the wonderful features of the Edge, and most importantly the safety features I needed for winter. I also though it was so nice that Wayne called me the next day to see if I had any questions and offered help with anything I may need with my new car!! This was my first visit to a Ford Service Center. My first impression was it was very easy to find the service entrance. It was clearly marked at the road and you pull directly up to a garage door without having to meander around the lot looking for the right place to go. I was greeted promptly, told where to go and waited only a couple of minutes while my service adviser checked in my car. The lounge for customers was very spacious. If I had one complaint it would be the WiFi was dreadfully slow but I wasn't there long enough for it to matter. Everyone was very cheerful and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs. I met one gentleman who had worked at Dick Smith Ford for something like 25 years. That speaks volumes to me. In the end there was no problem with my car, even though the Level II Support for myfordmobile said there was an error indicator light that was preventing remote start from working. The problem was a setting in one of the menus which the service adviser patiently explained to me, even taking me through some of the menus. I was on my way very quickly. read more

Took my older Ford Escort in to have Emergency Brake fixed, something had popped and to get new tires. The new tires were installed, balanced and aligned OK, then they replaced the emergency brake cable on one side, and said you need to replace the cable on the other side too sometime in the future! Why didn't they call me while they had it up on the rack and tell me it was in poor shape and did I want to replace it then or wait. I told them they should have done that and to fix the other side too. It took an extra day to get the car back, but now I know I've got a good emergency brake cable. Then they said that my battery wasn't putting out its full cold cranking amps and I would need to replace it before long. I may take my battery to another establishment. I'm not sure what's going on, but I've been taking my Fords here for the past several years, but the past couple of times, their service has not been as great as it was in the past. The service crew at Dick Smith Ford greet me by name making me feel special and valued. They take care of my 2008 Edge as always, this time getting it road ready for a trip to Texas. I get all my service from the guys & girls at Dick Smith. Kirk, Johnny, and Dave typically help me from check-in to review of issues (if any) to completion of service. The ladies at the service sales desk are also awesome and make sure I get the best financing offer possible if using my Ford Credit account. The concierge guys don't re-adjust my seat and they open and close the car door (thank you very much for your chivalry). Finally I wanted to mention the unsung heroes (the mechanics and technicians that work in the back), their outstanding work in keeping my vehicle running is another real reason I keep coming back. My husband got a call from Zach saying they had a vehicle he thought we may be interested in. The vehicle fit the criteria we were looking for and was in the price range we wanted to stay in. Corey worked with us on a trade value for our truck and we were able to come to an agreement we were happy about. Our experience was low-stress and we appreciated the friendly atmosphere. Corey kept saying that they wanted to earn our business, which anyone can say, but are words they lived. The staff even stayed late to do what it took to make a deal, something we felt badly about. I recently took my car into have an oil change, tires rotated, and a door handle repair which I assumed would be an all day event, and was expecting to need a ride back home to wait for car. Johnny Hayes met me inside the service entrance almost before I could get out of the car. He assured me the car would be ready in 2 hours so I was able to wait in service area, read the paper, and relax. He also researched and found out the door repair was covered under my extended warranty, which was in doubt, and the car was finished in 90 minutes, and I was on my way. In this day of fading customer service I was very impressed with Johnny's upbeat positive communication skills, and customer service expertise. Absolutely Awesome Team! I had a flawless experience from the time I walked the lot till the time my daughter and I both drove away in our new vehicles. Earl Cobbins was the first to greet me and stayed with me every step of the process. I initially went looking for my daughter a car and because she had to work and could not be there through the entire process Earl went above and beyond and took the car to my daughters job so she could drive it around as well as went back a second time to go through all the paper work. Shane Loya didn't stop until he found her the best company and rate to finance her car. Super helpful place! I went in worried about my check engine light being on and the possible problems my car would have, My car was also being recalled for a few issues. I was very pleased with the free one day rental that was extended for an extra day, because it took longer to work on my car than planned.It turned out the problems on my car weren't due to the recall but because of an error made by Wal-mart during an oil change. At first I was told they could not cover an extra day of rental because of that but then it changed and I was quite pleased. I really liked how they called before doing anything, even something small such as replacing my oil cap for $6.00! I found everyone to be pleasant and helpful and I'm confident that my car was thoroughly inspected and any potential issues were reported to me. read more

I am an advocate of great customer service. When I get great customer service I would like to express my gratitude! Unfortunately I was involved in a hit and run. I took my car to one local Ford dealership, my experience was not good, took it to 2 other body shops, the experiences were typical and fair. Then I took it to Marc Miller at Dick Smith Ford, in today's world we bump elbows, he checked the damage and he explained what needed to replaced or repaired. I haven't needed a body shop in a long time. The car was done on time! Marc's customer service is 110% He goes the extra mile. He makes a bad issue and takes care of it. We have purchased several cars from Dick Smith Ford in Raytown, MO. We also lease a Ford from them. We have NEVER had any complaints with this business. They are always pleasant and up front with any issues or problems with our car. We have had one car repaired from a hail storm that looked brand new. They always send us reminders of services that need to be done on our cars. I recently took my 2013 Edge in for its 30,000 mile check up. Everyone is so welcoming and eager to help you. Purchased an Explorer at get a good deal, get a dog gone good deal. Over the last 18 months I have had a tire sensor monitor light repeatedly go off after driving 20 miles on the highway. I have now taken my car to Dick Smith Ford on seven separate occasions to have it fixed. Of course I go when other service is needed, but fixing the recurring sensor default is my priority. Not Mr. Smith's. 7 trips and approximately $2000 in Dick's pockets later (shame on me), no fix. I am done with their incompetence. Be warned, if you want an oil change and a real problem taken care of, you will be sure to leave with fresh oil and a new filter. read more

I was over the top impressed with the whole crew that took care of us. I usually make my husband do all the car purchases. I find the whole process a fight over not being taken advantage of. The staff was amazing, Corey gave us great deal on our trade in, the General Manager made a point to speak to us (how nice). Every time we have had the cars serviced has been a friendly and quick experience as well. They get your car in and done and back to you as quick as possible.
