Bought a truck here, now know as Greenway Ford, in January. They told me it passed a 10-point inspection. Their service manager later admitted it never went through their shop. Oil leak within 18 hours. Repairs took over 50 days. Their GM admitted in writing their work failed. They fabricated an inspection document and a salesman lied to my face (I have it on audio). Got the truck back. AC doesn't work. Transmission feels off. Missing parts. A "We Owe" item was never provided. I've filed complaints with the state AG and DOR. My attorney is involved. Do not trust their inspection claims. Get everything in writing and have an independent mechanic check the vehicle before you buy. read more

They are currently offering at this date 12-21-21 to buy your vehicle $4000 over Kelley Blue Book trade-in value. only deducting for mileage or condition or demand in area. In my case The KBB Trade-in range was $41,243 ~ $44,962 so you would think they would add $4000 to either of those figuresto get to $45,243. or $48,962. respectively. If we lived in a true to your word world. I have a photo of their offer for $34,244. plus $4408.to bring it to a grand total of $38,652. That is nowhere is close to the Kelley blue book figures. Mind you this truck is better than brand new with low mileage no wrecks nothing wrong with it. Beautiful truck! On their lot they were trying to sell me trucks with 150,000 miles for $58,000 and they were three years old. What is wrong with this picture. Stay away from them do not do business with them. I have bought three total vehicles from this place. The first one I bought had a blown engine about 8 days after buying the vehicle. The second one has been great so far. I recently went in to talk about trade ins and the convinced me to upgrade. When I purchased the vehicle it was night. I noticed a few things after driving it that I thought they may need to take a look at. My main concern was a nice size chip in the windshield that was perfectly hidden behind the rear view mirror. I brought the vehicle up to discuss this with one of the managers. I was very polite and respectful. The manager told me that the other manager had driven this car a few times and had not noticed athe small crack in the windshield. I know for a fact that the crack was hidden behind the rear view mirror when I purchased the car. They basically blew me off and said that I could have done this. it really seemed like they wanted to be cheap and cut expense. The manager even mentioned that the crack could have been filled??? But I thought the crack came after I bought the vehicle?? My sales person Dakota was great and even offered to help pay for some of the damages because they obviously didn't care. You spend $35,000 on a new vehicle and they can't fix a chip in the windshield that they are responsible for?? I will not be buying another vehicle here again. read more

Pet hair, trash, candy, sticky stuff from the previous owner was still present. They sold me a ceramic coating that clearly wasn't done. I feel taken advantage of. Why do people get upset when you expect a certain level of service that they would if it was their purchase? Why should I settle? There's something shady there. I got a nice reminder of the appointment the night before at 745 pm and I got out there the next day at 9am when they open and I'm told the car was sold. LOL. You've got to be kidding me. Review is based on service only. Drove my 2017 Ford Fusion Energi here to get it checked out. Had to have the windows down the whole way. I just go this thing a couple months ago and only has 24k miles on it. Had it plugged in yesterday and the battery in the trunk started smelling. Googled this and it sounds like it's hydrogen sulfide, extremely toxic. Moved the car out of the garage and found of puddle of liquid under the trunk. Told all of this to the guy in the service department and they "[couldn't] look at it until next week". I can't imagine how you can have a customer in your shop to do warranty work and you can't look at something that could cause imminent death. This review is based on service only. Had an engine light come on my car. Took the car in and they stated they fixed the problem. I went to pay the bill and the total was $150.62; however the clerk charged my debit card $480.43. She did a refund of $329.81. Of course the $480.43 came out of my bank account but the refund took three days. I had to go up to the dealership and I talked to the Service Manager. I went on vacation and the first day back, I drove the car the engine light comes back on. I sent an email to the Service manager on Sunday evening. I called and requested to talk to the Service Manager on Monday at 8:40am, 12:33pm, and 2:45pm. I also emailed this person two more times. I did not get a reply until I called the GM and then he called me 15 minutes later. I told the Service Manager that he was not doing his job and he just had excuses about staffing problems. He never apologized for not returning my calls/emails. I talked to the Fixed Operation Manager and he started with excuses and then stated at the end that they dropped the ball. I told the Fixed Operation Manager that their reviews have been poor as of late. My advise is if you call them, to make notes. read more

Dick Smith Ford in Raytown is a poor representative of "Built Ford Tough" as a more fitting name should be "Built to Rust". After dropping $32,000 on a 2011 Ford Escape w the Premium Care Warranty from good 'ol boy Dick, we're left with a couple of rusted out rear wheel wells and no customer service to offer much other then our forking out additional cash to repair it. This is especially infuriating as the "new" poorly trained service rep set up a body shop appt and checked w someone on our free rental car as part of the repair. Once in "Dicks" it was "no" after "no". 1) no rust coverage on car or thru extended premium warranty even after numerous Google reviews of the Ford Escape problem 2) no free rental car 3) no free check on other car issues on warranty. That'd be a $99 diagnostic fee and the owner must be specific what the problem is--no general look over. Jim, Customer Service Mgr, offered little help other then to ask me to be nice about the new rep mix up. This is no way to earn customer satisfaction. Shame on you Ford Motor Co. I plan to file a complaint along with a MO Attorney General complaint to assist legal review of the shoddy vehicles being produced. read more

I had a horrible experience with the service department. It took them 8 days to complete a simple repair. They were unresponsive when I tried to get an update on their progress. The car was returned to me with the check engine light still on. It took another full day to determine that this was because the technician forgot to clear it. Could not be more unhappy with my service at this place, most inept place I've ever been. Have a 2016 Mustang convertible with an oil leak and the rear quarter window would not close all the way. Dropped the car of and was told they would diagnose the oil leak and take a look at the window. Oil leak was a leaky valve cover, a common problem. Was told the person that did that work was out and would be the first of next week before it could be fixed, had another vehicle to drive so that was no big deal. Have only had the car back for a day so don't know at this point if the oil leak problem is fixed. The window issue just blew my mind. Had multiple unbelievable conversations with "Dee" about the problem. Was told multiple times that the window just needed to be "lubricated", she had no idea what she was talking about and would not listen to the point it was frustrating to even try and talk to her. At one point was told the mechanics went out to the parking lot and checked other cars and my car worked just like the new ones. If you can't figure out that the window won't close all the way shouldn't be working on cars. When I picked the car up, the first time, not the second or third time that I went to put the window up it did not work - didn't even work a single time. And yes they charged me 94.00 to look at it. This was the second time the car has been there for this problem and the window has worked for a total of 3 months out of the 2 1/2 years I've owned the car. Every time I go to close he window I have to go around and pull the window closed by hand. Also on Saturday received 2 calls informing me of the progress of the installation of a new air bag?? Had no clue what the hell they were talking about or doing to my car. Returned the calls but the person that called me of course was not available. When I picked up the car it had foot prints all over the carpet, door jams and even on the doors, not on just the driver's side but the passenger side as well. If I could give a no star rating, I would. This place sold me a car with a platinum warranty that was explained to me as the "budget warranty." While the most expensive, I was told that I would not have any out-of-pocket expenses besides my payment until my payments were done. I took the car in for work on key fob that did not work for me or my salesman. I was not asked to bring both fobs until I got there for my appointment. They had the car for a full day and did no work on it. They put me in a rental for a second appointment for the fob. Again, no work done so I stayed in the rental. The second day, I called them at 3:30p. They seemed unaware of it. I got there an hour later and the general manager and service advisors swore the mechanic had tested them and they were fine. I was told they replaced one. The fobs still only worked occasionally and forget using a panic button to find your car. I waited two or three times for an hour or more in the waiting room for appointments. Service said they didn't know I was coming and didn't know what I wanted done. A simple oil change takes 2 hours of my time. When I took it in for the 15K maintenance, I was charged $191 for a fuel injection clean. It should not have needed that. No one would listen to me about my warranties. I was not called nor informed about the expense. Remember that super duper platinum warranty? It didn't apply to this. I spoke with several people who claimed to be managers. Two promised a refund. The fourth said no refund. One said I should not have paid it. They were holding my car for ransom. I asked to cancel the warranties. I was offered 70% of what I paid plus a $50 cancellation fee for each part of the warranty. I never even used the extended warranty as everything was covered under the factory warranty. I was offered repayment for an $80 oil change but gave up after 3 weeks of waiting. I ended up trading in my fully warrantied car for a different make at a dealer a half hour from my house. Talking to others, this is not an anomaly but a standard of practice for them. Sales was initially great. Every service experience since purchasing my vehicle has been horrible. I've had terrible experiences with dick smith and now with their renaming of Greenway ford. My car was damaged by one of their employees. He then left work and no one would take responsibility. It took almost a year but the dealership did make right. I was assured they replaced some of their old "bad" techs. When having my car serviced their techs recognized unprofessional work. When making an appointment at the dealership to have repairs done that had to be done there, it took several people and nothing but confusion on how to handle an insurance package purchased through the dealership. (Otherwise I'd not returned) upon arrival I was greeted rudely, here I was having some unprofessional work looked at, and customer service was at an all time low. If I didn't have a package I previously purchased with this dealership, I would have NOTHING to do with it. I was suppose to take possession on Monday sept.28th on a 2020 f-250 with a trade in..made a online deal a few days prior..the morning of I start getting the run around and lied too from the salesman about why it's not getting to me on time instead of being up front with me..calls back several hours later and said they're almost done going through and flushing the motor..it wasn't that the bed liner wasn't in the truck like he said.. it was because they made a major mistake by putting Diesel fuel in my gas engine..wouldn't tell me how much or how far the truck was driven but still wanted me to take it like everything was going to be ok..wouldn't offer any kind of extra warranty on the truck or find me another and definitely didn't apologize for the mistake they made!! glad I hadn't signed any paperwork yet!!! On Monday September 21, 2020 called Dick Smith Ford make an appt with the service dept for Saturday September 26, 2020. I stated twice the reason I was calling for a service appt is due to I received the following message: "Transmission is overheating turn car off for 5 minutes" I go to my appt today when ask why I was there I stated I have an 8:00 appt to have my car service again given the reason I received the following message: "Transmission is overheating turn car off for 5 minutes" The rep said oh that would be a issue with the transmission I cannot help you I do not have a transmission person sorry. When I ask why was I not told that when I made my appt because I could have called another Ford Service Dept he stated (I might add in a snotty manner) Sorry I have to hire a person and stated the incident report states car overheating nothing about the transmission. I advised him (if calls are recorded) he needs to go back and listen to the call because I was very clear as to why I needed service for my car. I was totally happy with Dick Smith Ford until about six months ago. We had torrential rain and I had water in the cab of my car. So I took it to Dick Smith Ford and they fixed it. It rained again and leaked again. Took it back, they found another leak and fixed it. It rained once again, and it still leaked. I have been back-and-forth with them at least four times in the last six months. Every time I take it in they find a "new leak". The last time I took it in they had it for about a month and "fixed" leaks. But they could not provide me with documentation on what they fixed. And they told me they're not 100% sure that it is fixed and if it leaked again I needed to take it to a body shop. Mind you the car has never been wrecked. When I took my car in, it was clean because I had just had it detailed. And when I got it back it was like they had left the windows down in a dust storm because my car was filthy. I am completely dissatisfied with Dick Smith Ford. My car is a 2015 only four years old and there is no reason that it should be leaking like it is. I was happy with my purchase at first but it seemed like they duped me. Carfax showed nothing wrong at least that's what they made it show. So I drove my car for about a week in the brakes started to bind up. Traction light coming on ABS service light coming and oil change Reads 65% they sold me guaranteeing me this car can make it up and down the highway and told me that the car has been serviced and looked over but how do you service a car without changing the oil first lie but that's not my problem. I took the car to the service people where they keep it for 4 days. Please tell me why am I having the same problem before. They claim they put new parts on and fix my problems with the abs brakes and traction all needed to be serviced on my car l. Didn't use my judgment when I made the appointment because before the heaven test my car he's already making excuses about why he maybe can't fix it the reason he said because I don't have the Chevy code machine to tell him what is wrong. When you have an issue related to the warranty they accuse you of lying instead of taking accountability for a faulty part and just fixing it. I took my car to them for an oil change, tire rotation and a shuttering noise while driving. They charged me diagnosis for the shuttering noise that turned out to be a faulty Tire and was noticed after the tire rotation. Here's an idea, change the oil, rotate the tires, check the car over for any up sells, test drive then Park it. End of service without a costly fee the diagnosis charge thst should have been part of a regular service inspection anyway. read more

So I go and shop for a car with my daughter we work out the deal and the monthly payment, then I had to go as she heads to the finance guy to fill out the final paperwork, then they tell her they have a problem with the loan and they need to add gap insurance and the platinum warranty to it so she can get the car, now the price goes from 197 to 270! This place can not be trusted! 2nd time I have had problems with this place, but I like to try and buy local, so I gave them a 2nd chance. They prey on young, vulnerable people. The Sales Agent, Shane Loya took advantage of my daughter and took her for $2600. The General Manager, Steve Tolbert is a arrogant, rude, and very culpable! He did nothing to try to rectify the issue. They sold my daughter a car that two days later died. The transmission is completely shot and a host of other issues. They then had the nerve to tow it back to their shop after avoiding us for weeks, and rattled off a list of issues that they would be willing to fix for thousands of dollars that exceed the worth of the vehicle. Buyer beware! My daughter bought a certified pre owned 2017 Ford Escape here a couple of months ago and from the moment she bought it she has had problems. The dealership did not do her paperwork correctly so she had to go back 3 times to sign different papers. After a few days of driving the car she started noticing several problems, one being a lot of road noise. She took it to inspection and they told her the car was out of alignment. She took the car back to Dick Smith and was told the cars alignment was fine. The next day she has a blowout and takes her car to a different Ford dealer and was told the car was out of alignment. When she told them about the road noise they told her it was because the windshield was not installed properly. They also told her that her tires and brakes failed inspection and the battery was fair. All of these things that are supposed to be in good condition as part of Fords pre certified inspection. She tried to get in touch with the GM of Dick Smith, Ryan Ortiz, but he did not return her calls. She then made several calls to Ford Motor and they said they would be in touch and were expediting he problem but she didn't here back. She then called the BBB, the National Auto Dealers and the Chamber of Commerce and then Ryan Ortiz started calling. She agreed to trade in the car for another pre certified car because she just wanted out of the first car and didn't have the time to keep fighting because of work commitments. She bought another car and had it 11 days and it broke down on the side of the road. She took the car back to Dick Smith and right away they got her a rental and fixed the car that day. They did not charge her and on the bill in stated "good will". But wait, why didn't it go under her warranty? It was a red flag to me and I told her to call Ford and make sure they had her car as pre-certified. She called and was told the car is not a Pre certified car and she needs to call the GM of the dealership and tell him. When she told the Ford representative that the GM is the one who sold her the car she was then told to call Ford customer service. Nobody want to take responsibility for all of the fraud going on in this dealership! She has made several calls and will keep calling until she gets a full refund but nobody should have to go thru this!
