First, a few positives first, as there were some... Our food was very good. When we had a problem, management was great! Available parking with in front on Clovis! But some problems. -coming in we waited a long time to get seated, as dinner was starting. They were not busy, couldn't be bothered seating us for our reservation. -when we were seated, no server would take our order. -as we waited for a server to at least get us water on a day it was 103 outside, patrons at a table next to us kept acting strange. We're a boring, professional couple, so generally nothing eventful to see. I think one was drunk, still, not pleasant for us. -when a server did come, he was pleasant, but disorganized, not writing down anything we told, so we hoped we could trust his memory. A big "no" there. He'd forget parts of our order and not bring things. It seemed like he was trying, maybe a bit overwhelmed. Because... -when we finished still not receiving some of what we asked for, I gave him our card to pay. And he misplaced/lost my card. I knew that I gave it to him, explained it to my wife and their management, so they went about trying to find it. We waited for a while, with no sign of my card. The manager came by, apologized, said they were looking for it, hadn't found it. As we waited and realized the card was gone, I called our bank and cancelled the card. Really frustrating to trust them with it, have them lose it. He left and came back later, said they couldn't find it, would comp our meal. Then we left, walking the few blocks to our vehicle. Before we get to our vehicle, we see our server hurriedly walking to us, waving my card. We appreciated the effort, though my card was now cancelled and useless. My lesson-be very wary of trusting your credit cards here. We won't go back. But I wouldn't ever want any part of our finances like a card in their hands. With all that said, I do not believe it was personal or intentional. Our server seemed well-meaning, appeared to be trying to be diligent. But something was off here with a number of the service staff during our first/only visit. read more

What a disappointment. One thing is for sure, no two Di Cicco's are alike! Went here last evening with my wife, sister and brother in law and 4 out of 4 were disappointed in the food. My wife and sister ordered the chicken picatta and the chicken was way overcooked and barely edible. I had the combo pizza and it was super salty as was my brother in law's eggplant parmigiana. Dinner was delicious at DiCiccos, in Clovis, as first time visitors. We started with a Crispy Artichoke Hearts appetizer - the sauce was zesty and addicting. Our dinners, per the server Brittiane's recommendations, included the Spaghetti Limone and the Spinach Ravioli with added chicken. Both excellent dishes! To top it off we paired our dinners with the house Chianti - so smooth and mild that it went down really well. To cleanse our palette we enjoyed a delicious scoop of spumoni. Don't order pizza from this location. You will be much happier going to the one on Cedar and Nees. They won't be super-skimpy with toppings the way Old Town location is. I even tried to overcome this by ordering triple-pepperoni but they just ignored that and barely put any on there. I had entire slices that had only one pepperoni on it. My husband and I ordered takeout from here, first of all it was super expensive for what you get, by that I mean the portions are extremely small. The food is absolutely delicious, no complaints at all, my husband said the staff was friendly and kind, our order was a little late, but that wasn't a big deal, overall I'm happy with the food and the service , the price is a little much. read more

I picked up dinner tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. When I arrived home I realized they failed to give any marinara sauce to go with his calzone. I also ordered a pizza and the spaghetti plate. The crust in the calzone was rubbery and hard to chew. My husband needed to use a steak knife to cut the calzone. The pizza looked and tasted like it was frozen with minimal toppings. I thought at least my spaghetti would be decent. Nope, so bland. Tasted like it was covered in tomato paste. Luckily I had a bottle of Prego to use as the calzone sauce and it has considerably more flavor than the sauce on my spaghetti read more

The pasta is great, even though a salad is no longer complementary. The pizza? Well, I don't mind paying$21 bucks for a great pizza, loaded with toppings. I'm done with this place. Too many bad experiences. My guess is the staff gets over whelmed with take out orders. One time I waited to be seated for so long my husband and I just left. It was ridiculous and the person supposingly in charge of seating us was a hysterical mess. I felt sorry for her. The inside of the restaurant was not that busy. We were just forgotten. When we've had food delivered and the portions were small. They often forget items. We order from a different location now. I recently ate here today, 2/12, around 3pm. My boyfriend and I were the only people in there for about a good 20 minutes. Our server was Rene and I'm surprised by all of his good reviews because today was not his best day. We had to ask him four times for water because he kept forgetting, by the time new customers came in and sat he got them water right away so we asked for a fifth time and finally got them. There was a hair in my alfredo which he noticed after he set down my plate but at least he noticed and put in a new order for me. Not once did he come and check in on us asking how our food was or if we needed anything. I tried constantly to flag him down for the check but he was nowhere to be seen for at least 15 minutes after we were done eating. I could hear him and his coworkers just talking in the back, which is fine that they talk but don't let it distract you from your job. After we finally got the check and our boxes I'm pretty sure I heard him complaining about us because I heard him say "ya I even took 10% off of their check" which was $2.40 so how generous. I love this restaurant and the food but I expect better service, never once had I had this problem. I ordered my lunch today through Uber Eats and I was not 100% impressed. I work from home and order my food in a lot. I noticed that there was not a sticker placed on the pizza box I ordered for safety. Most pizza places seal the boxes so the clients feel comfortable that driver's aren't getting in ones food. The paper bags were stapled though with the other food items. I also ordered fettuccine and the portion was very small. Good but small. The bread was delicious, fresh, and still warm. The pizza was cold and did not have a lot of cheese or pepperoni on it. I know all DiCicco's are owned by different owners but this one seems to have smaller portions and less product on their pizza. read more

The lasagna tasted awful and I was better off getting Stoffers frozen lasagna! The minestrone soup tasted like water and had NO salt and very little veggies. When entering the business at 310pm there was no one to greet you, and the cook sat us and gave us menus. When the waitress finally took notice she was very short and rude off the get. She went to the 4 tables at the restaurant and asked if they were ok and look my way and walked to the back. She also had someone come in and bring her a drink and she started to point at our table to make it seem like we should be scared She had someone come in??? She is the white lady with strawberry hair in pony tail. The other servers that work there were awesome. The manager came to speak to us and he tried so hard to comp a meal. But I had to explain to him that it was not the food it was the server and when we didn't have her anymore the service was better. On Friday, March 25, 2022 I went to Di Chico's restaurant, located in Clovis, Ca. My friends and I got tickets for a "SLICE OF COMEDY" We were seated in the first two rows facing the stage. I was the only African-American there. Before the show started my group and I ordered our dinners separately. I ordered chicken fettuccine, garlic bread and a Caesar salad. While I waited for my order the comedian host, Danny Minch, came out on stage. He began making comments asking where's all the Black people. He also went on to say we only have one black person in the room. He started asking the audience does anyone here have any black friends. This went on for approximately five minutes. People started pointing at me saying we have one black friend here. When the waitress brought me my chicken fettuccine it was cold, she also stated that they just put some bread in the oven. The waitress also stated, they were cutting the lettuce for my salad. At that moment, I also asked the waitress for eating utensils which I never received. Some of my friends ordered salads which they received. My salad never came. I used my friends spoon to eat my fettuccine. The bread was still frozen In the middle when it was placed in front of me. At that point I excuse myself and headed to the lobby. The comedian, Danny Minch, met me in the lobby with a huge grin he asked me, are you enjoying the show. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone especially if you're from a different ethnic group. read more

We were traveling to Yosemite which brought us through Old Town Clovis. We stopped at DiCicco's which unfortunately was only open for take out due to Covid. Clearly this is a Clovis staple, tried and true. I had a classic chicken parmigiana dinner, my daughter had a DiCicco Special calzone. Mine was excellent and the calzone was truly special.
