4/4/26 Getting lunch! I called and ordered a veggie chicken calzone. The worker was very kind and welcoming! Even notified me of the car show to be aware that parking could be an issue! Appreciated. Shortly after ordering she gave me price and said it would be ready in 20 minutes.... Arrived and greeted! Worker was so kind and welcoming. It was almost ready. Waited in a bench they have for that. Very mice restaurant! Safe and clean with music playing. They have it decorated for Easter too! Cute!! Received order shortly later with food day wishes! Appreciated!! Lunchtime! Calzone split. My half was Great! Fresh veggies, cheesy and good amount of chicken! Even better with crushed peppers to spice it up and Great sauce to dip it too!! Mother said her half was Really GREAT!! I'm not someone to write these kind of "improvement" reviews, but here goes. We arrived around 7pm and noticed there was only 3 tables of people sitting in the restaurant from the sidewalk windows, so I had a bad feeling something wasn't right. I was with my 12 year old son who wanted to eat there because we've ate at the other 2 locations and had good experiences. Upon our arrival inside there's wasn't a person in sight to ask us to be seated. It took a bit and a girl came and finally asked us for how many, where she seemed frantically in a rush. We got sat and it took quite a while before anyone approached us to take our drinks. Then when our drinks came my son told her he wanted bread, which he was annoyed because he had to tell her to bring some instead of brining it on her own. As I was telling her I wanted dipping oil and butter, she started walking away. It took waaaaay too long for our food to arrive. Like by the time we ordered there was only 1 person who ordered food and she came after us. Like were they making the pasta fresh by hand back there? Pasta doesn't take that long to cook. And that woman was served waaaaaaay before us! I felt like we were waiting on the server at all times, when I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. Seriously, the service sucked!!!!And I hate saying this, but it did. I tipped to give the girl the benefit of the doubt, but everything in me regrets that tip because it wasn't deserved. The food was good, but for that long wait- no. But I never felt more awkward before in my life at a restaurant. I rushed my son out of there after paying and he wasn't even done, but I wanted to get out of there. That server kept rushing off every single time she met with us, and made us feel so uncomfortable. And the wild thing is NO ONE WAS THERE!!! where was she rushing off to all the time? Unfortunately we won't go back. I wish I could've asked for a refund with how we feel about that experience. We usually visit one of DiCicco's other locations since it's closer to our house, but we happened to be on this side of town and decided to give this location a try. I didn't think my usual spot could be beat, but to my surprise, this experience was even better! Our server was outstanding--extremely friendly, quick with the drink service, and attentive throughout the meal. It's clear they take great pride in making their customers feel welcome and cared for. The food was absolutely delicious, just as you'd expect from DiCicco's, and we were thrilled to find that this location also offers a full bar--a nice bonus! I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. We will definitely be back, as it was well worth the drive. Highly recommend giving it a try! read more

I've never been to this location before, but a friend of mine had suggested we meet here for lunch and it didn't disappoint. I ordered a minestrone soup and a salad because I only wanted a late lunch and the soup was super tasty and the salad was fresh and crisp. I've never had ranch dressing that was incorporated with blue cheese dressing before and it actually tasted really good. True to Dicicco for, the bread was fresh and warm and fluffy, which is how I like it. The young lady that served us was very sweet and prompt... She was very friendly and diligent about keeping our drinks refilled. The restaurant itself was kind of quiet, but it had a very relaxed vibe to it, and there didn't seem to be a lot of noisy patrons, which is something that I always appreciate when I go out to eat. I really liked the location because sometimes sometimes I like looking out the window and seeing things and watching people and old town, Clovis is the place to do that and since this location is right on a corner, I got to see a bunch of stuff... I was entertained when I was eating with my friend. I'll probably be going back for lunch there again someday, just not sure when that's gonna happen, but I really liked it better than some of the other locations I've been to. read more

After a busy day at the Master Gardener annual plant sale, we ordered dinner from DiCiccos Old Town Restaurant. Our favorite dish is the Eggplant Parmesan. For the first time I ordered it with meat. Usually I like the vegetarian dish but today I felt like eating meat. Our dinner was very good. It tasted a little salty for me. Also, I would have liked some sauce on our dish. The meal came with a loaf of freshly baked bread. The bread was still warm and delicious. It also came with butter, packets of Parmesan cheese and dried red chili peppers. It was so good. We opened a good Zinfandel and dinner was served. Yum! read more

We had just got off the freeway rushed to check in our hotel and hit the street to find a place to sit and eat. We found this place! What made me even want to stop was the corner window and saw people in dinning and leaving... so I'm thinking it's a happening restaurant. Sad part is that they closed at 8:00 pm and it was 7:55 pm... we walked in and figured maybe we can ask if they would still let us get a to go, but around this time I'm thinking they are cleaning up. Nope!! They welcomed us in and sat us down. That alone was great and the food was even better. Pricing was average per plate. I ordered the fettuccine Al bianco which I've never had. First time here, on travel. Nice place. My BFF got the Lasagna, but she said the layers had no sauce, only the top had sauce. She also said the meat inside tasted and looked liked ground chicken. She liked it, but it wasn't what she expected. I got the Fettuccini Alfredo with a side of meatballs. Fabulous. The pasta was cooked al denté, which is important to me. The bread is not sourdough, unfortunately, but the homemade, baked croutons in the salad were crunchy and divine. Flavored perfectly! Our server, Josie was a kick. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING 10/10 - let me start there! Yes, it took a while longer for food to come out than at other restaurants that use microwaves to make food but you could tell the plates were fresh, hot, and tasted delicious when they arrived to our table. My issue was SERVICE. The server tonight was doubling as a bartender so we understood he was likely to be busier, although the restaurant portion of the establishment was not busy. However - there was a clear distinction between how he regarded me (a young, 28yr old woman) versus my grandmother. We came to eat with my teenaged niece and toddler. Even the teenager could point out the clear difference in treatment when he spoke to me. What really baffled me more than the clear difference in treatment was a moment that came at the end of the meal. We decided to get dessert and when he came by to ask about it, my grandmother and I had decided also that we wanted the bill split. When he asked if we decided to get dessert I said "Yes! We also wanted to split the bill, them two on one tab (while pointing to my grandmother and niece) and us on the other. On our bill we want the -" he cut me off mid sentence to say "Yeah sure whatever, split the bill, got it. Okay, spit it out you wanted..." while waving his hand in a 'continue on' manner. I continued my sentence to state we wanted a cheesecake on my bill and a bread pudding on theirs. Very short, and to the point, as well as information he needed to know to correctly serve us. In being rushed, I forgot to tell him we wanted it to go and since he rarely had time to check on our table, my grandmother ended up having to loudly state this across the restaurant since he didn't acknowledge her effort to wave him over. I've been a server for over 6 years and would NEVER rush a customer in that way. Regardless of the rush I'm sure he was in, regardless of what was being said - there are a dozen different ways to express urgency without dismissing a customer. I would have overlooked the difference in treatment, had this not been the cherry on top and lasting taste in my mouth of the service received, and for that, it was a subpar customer service experience. The only time in my life I have ever not wanted to tip, although I ended up leaving 10% of my bill to at minimum cover the sell. Again, amazing food! But coaching on how to better approach customers in these scenarios needs to be had for a better overall experience. read more

We had a wedding reception in bar and banquet room. Lara was an awesome coordinator and she went above and beyond accommodating us and on any changes we made throughout the process. Lara decorated the room and tables with decorations that we brought in and the tables and room looked beautiful! My first time at DiCicco's and we happened to stop by while they had a stand up comedy thing going! Service was decent; the host was super outgoing but our server did take a long time to get to us and to get things to us (probably because they wanted us to stay for the whole show?). Anyway, here's what we got & what we thought: Pizza (not pictured) (1/5): I don't know if it was cooked all the way through. The crust was still really doughy, pepperoni was soft instead of crunchy, and toppings were minimal. Ravioli Marsala (3/5): Portion size was so tiny! I also wasn't really a fan of the sauce itself--- it was really meaty/salty/thick. I think I'd try something else if I return. Italian Nachos (3.5/5): Free because I checked in on Yelp! I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't fries with toppings (which was mostly sour cream, so the fries got soggy quick). Still pretty good though! Pomegranate Margarita (2/5): Just tasted like syrup and alcohol. Blood orange Mule (4/5): Yummyy!! Kinda tasted like Sunny D. I don't think it was strong enough to justify the price, but it was a safe option. We ended up getting two of these. As for the comedy show, prepare to be waiting for a couple hours!! They let us pay at the very end (plus just basic courtesy) so we sat through the whole thing. Tips are appreciated for the comedians and they have open mic at the end of the night. We went here again, this time with my in laws that are visiting from San Diego. I'm not gonna go into too much detail of what exactly happened, but this visit could have turned easily into a nightmare. All I'm going to say is that the manager and the server redeemed themselves and turned a nightmare of an experience to something good. All the food that we ordered was amazing, except for the little issue we had in the beginning which was immediately taken care off, and these guys took care of us with some top notch customer service. Ambiance here is very good, as always. And I'll always come back here whenever I have visitors that are craving for some very good Italian food. read more

It's bad enough to pay nearly $10 more going through door dash but to receive food that is so subpar. I ordered two meals, one for last night one for tonight. The manicotti had a sausage that I think walked the earth with Jesus. It was so dry and tasteless. The pasta? Couldn't find it in the mess of sauce. This menu is a lot shorter than at the other locations, I usually get the michelle pasta and they didn't have it so I decided to try the chicken and mushroom ravioli and I was so disappointed it was not good at all, it had such a strong maple flavor??, we also ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and that was okay. i'm writing this review as I am still in the restaurant that's how unsatisfying the food and experience was. when my partner and I arrived it took awhile for us to be seated as no one was at the front then finally a woman came and seated us. we ordered our drinks and then I ordered a minestrone soup. when I got my soup it was lukewarm basically cold it was disgusting i gave it to my partner he said it was okay just needs to be hot as it was basically cold! our server was the same woman who seated us now I don't know if she just has bad social skills or just was having a bad but she was rude and unhappy.. I told her I wanted the mezzo mezzo and she just looked at me and said mmhm in a bored not in the mood tone... she took my bf's order and then walked away she didn't once come back to our table just to take our order and give us our food after that we never saw her again another server was more attentive and she wasn't our server... not to mention there was a fly the whole time at our table flying over the food and even landed in my partners drink. the food took a bit to come out and it wasn't even enjoyable my boyfriend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and his noodles were still hard like they weren't cooked all the way my food was just straight tomato sauce. I won't be coming to this place again our food was $53 for it to not even be enjoyable or even get decent service and to be shewing away a fly the whole time was annoying and gross. mind you at the spaghetti factory you pay $21 for a meal that comes with free HOT minestrone soup and ice cream and the food is actually well made and the service there is amazing. read more

It has been a while since my last review but with an 11-year-old son in three different sports, it is hard to find time to dine in. It was the 23rd of March I believe my reservation was for 530. I failed to say in the notes that we wanted a booth called The Young Lady was more than helpful on the phone and let me know she could make it happen went in we were seated very quickly. The place was pretty packed but you couldn't tell by the type of service received. I am a Project Manager and always say the team makes the dream I believe our table was visited by everybody in the front including the manager who refilled our drinks, and I haven't even mentioned the food yet I had the London Broil with the wine sauce (perfect) the wife had something I can't pronounce (Loved it) and my son, of course, had a pizza all to himself. The dude and I have dined out to this DiCiccos in Old Town Clovis about 2 times in December 2019 and January 2020, as we came for their comedy show. We ordered to go a few times as well before COVID-19. Anywho the first time we dined in it was around an hour before closing. This location has a bar and can make any drink besides their own specialty cocktails. Their specialty cocktails are pretty good but strong. I liked the punch drink the best. The staff was very and kind...you get complimentary bread when you order drinks or food which is a nice touch, no oil Or balsamic vinegar but the butter was good no complaints. Then night we came there was some type of event that people was coming from the bar. Overall, the food was good and tasty. I really love this location as the manager informed us one night on our to go order that ALL DiCiccos uses their own recipes and sauces as I did not know that. This location made me my own special location pasta due to the inconvenience I experienced as my dish I wanted was not from their location. Which was delicious the one they created. So this location is VERY customer centered. Our second time dining in we attended a comedy show in the bar area. Tickets were $15 each person and the place filled up QUICK with only limited seating. They had several comedians lined up and the host did stand up as well. Some of the material was pretty ranchy in which some people left and some hung in there. Overall, the food and drinks were good and the staff and comedians were friendly as well. We were suppose to come back for their 2020 New Years show but the dude and I spent it with family. Overall, I love Old Town Clovis and love this local DiCiccos. I highly recommend to come out and join the festives when possible again or order to go! You won't be disappointed at all! read more

We stopped in on Wednesday and man was that the night to come! For anyone who doesn't know, they do Open Mic Comedy on Wednesday nights starting at 7pm. We arrived around that time and were asked if we had a reservation. We did not but they had no problem seating us right away. I don't even know where to start...with the review because I had such an amazing night! We ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, an order of Garlic Parm Wings & Calamari Fritti to go with it. The wings were fall of the bone good, the Calamari wasn't overcooked and came with lemon wedges like it should! The pizza was great and we ate all of it! As for the comedy, it was downright hilarious. They had a headliner and then ended the night with an Open Mic. Everyone did a fantastic job and had me in tears wiping my eyes laughing. THIS is how Comedy should be done!! You will see me next Wednesday and probably many more to come!!!
