Two cupcakes --lemoncello and a bourbon-chocolate-salty caramel. Personally I loved the bourbon chocolate cupcake and my wife said the lemoncello was delish (had to share)! The texture was perfect. Moist and full of flavor. Enjoyed putting it all together and making our own versions with icings provided. This was great and we look forward to trying more from S-Quisite Treats in the future! I tried to order a custom cake from Serene's Sweet Spot and it was a complete and total disaster. I…read moreinitially reached out to Serene with my custom cake request mid week. I sent her images of the design I had in mind with clear instructions as well as the total number of servings needed, my price range, and when I needed the cake by. She confirmed she would be able to complete the cake by Friday (the day I requested) as well as make my cake design in the price range I had mentioned. I received no further communication in regards to the cake or the design so I assumed there were no issues. We arranged a pick up location on Friday and upon arrival I waited there for 20+ minutes for her to respond to my calls & texts and bring my cake out. She handed me the cake in a box and my first mistake was not opening the box right then and there to check it. I left and later opened the box to find a complete hack job. The cake did not represent the design I had shared. I was not expecting the cake to 100% resemble the images I had shared but I was expecting at least the color scheme and logos to be correct. They were not. The cake I requested was supposed to have the mountain dew logo on the side with the correct colors. The side of the cake was supposed to be a dark green and the top a light green. The top of the cake was also supposed to have a message that said "Happy Birthday Devin." A pretty simple design I would think. The "Happy Birthday Devin" that was placed on the top of the cake wasn't even flush to the cake, it was raised up off it. It looked like the print was too big and there were no adjustments made to make sure it fit correctly. It looked horrible. I could have done a better job. The color scheme of the cake was incorrect. The greens on the side & top of the cake were the same and the mountain dew logo colors were wrong. Even the requested serving size was wrong. I requested for the cake to serve 15 people and it was a round cake that could maybe serve 8. I expressed my extreme disappointment with Serene and requested a refund. She stated she left the birthday message up off the cake intentionally (why you would do that I have no clue) and that she did what could be done based on my budget and time constraints. However, she never expressed any concerns about the design, the timing, cost, etc. upon my initial request which in turn mismanaged my expectations as there was no communication stating that it was going to be a tight turnaround or that she couldn't do the design I wanted based on the budget I had given her. All in all, she did not give me a refund but instead offered me a credit to come back. After this experience I will NOT be a returning customer. It was a complete mess & waste of $80.
