Admittedly our family is a little particular. OK maybe very particular. We searched the immediate area and found this location but we're skeptical. The reviews on another site we're actually stellar which capped off our decision to try something a little unique and we were not disappointed. Samantha's timber Inn appears to be an old style motel that has been completely renovated. Each room as unique as the website indicates with a specific theme. Ours was a boat theme and the pictures posted here don't do the place justice. Tongue and groove pine board paneling and matching decorations down to the shower curtain made you feel like you were in a ship. The space is sprawling including a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. It was meticulously clean and very well appointed. TVs, microwave, coffee maker with coffee and condiments. Super plush towels. Comfortable beds. Wi-fi. We had just pulled in and I received a call asking if we arrived OK and had found the key under the doormat as promised. Check out was smooth and easy. We felt incredibly comfortable in the space and would recommend it to anyone but especially a family.

Enjoy the country but have modern commodities, this is amazing place to stay. Start the day with your hot coffee from the Keurig coffee machine, and hot breakfast delivered your door in the morning by your host Brad. Breath pure oxygen from all the trees surrounding the property. Hear the birds chirping, and get greeted by Penelope. Get online check in. This was on of our best experience on a bed and breakfast and we can't wait to come back.

All in all this venu/Air B and B is a find at a great price! Breakfast can be delivered to your door for $12 a person if you so choose and fire wood is sold at the mercantile. That was kind of our fault - for going outside in Arkansas. This place was really beautiful and quiet, very peaceful. The kitchen had just about every possible utensil we might have needed. The bedroom was cozy and the bathroom clean and sadly, larger than the one we have in our own home. The back porch was huge and had a nice view of the marina and lake. I would make one suggestion, however, to this and any other tourist-y attraction located in most parts of this state. Please. For the LOVE OF GOD let out of state people know that most counties in Arkansas are dry when they make a reservation. I'm not sure why we didn't know this - I guess since when I think of Arkansas I think of old men wearing only overalls sitting in bathtubs of moonshine and firing shotguns into the air for no reason. Nope. We went for a long arduous hike in the Ouachita forest only to visit gas station after gas station on the way back to the cabin, the slowly encroaching nightmarish vision of an alcohol free evening overtaking us, and after a desperate last attempt at an out-of the-way grocery store yielded no respite, it was then that I realized we might be alcoholics. Ha ha, not really. But it was really fucking lame.

They have 4 different themed cabins, 2 for pets and 2 for no pets. They are spaced far enough apart to give you your own room and not be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. There is also a large double-wide trailer that's called THE LODGE for larger groups. It has a large yard and is farther from the other cabins. There's a small creek that runs in front of the cabins. It was bubbling and all and if you come during the cooler months it'd be great to sleep with the windows up to fall asleep to. They come with satellite tv, pots, pans, dishes etc and sheets and towels. Unfortunately because of the covid we had to bring our own sheets & towels but that's no biggy. They also provide limited toiletries (soap, hand soap, dish soap, etc). There's chairs for the porch, a grill and fire ring and a picnic table to use. The cabin was nicely furnished and decorated with the LOVE theme. We had a queen size bed. It was way too hard for me but my wife slept fine. Not sure about anybody else but we had ZERO cell service there. There are also lots of dead zones in that area (at least for our carrier). It was VERY PEACEFUL AND QUIET!!!!!! Nobody running up and down halls or slamming doors off their hinges. We were told their were some atv trails close by but we didn't do that this time. There's many different options fairly close by and I would highly recommend the scenic loop that runs from Mena on into Oklahoma. I think it's about 55 miles long. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to stay I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AT LIVING WATER CABINS!!!!

The first time we stayed I talked to Mike about how I liked sunflowers the next time we stayed the same cabin now had a couple sunflower decorations and some sunflowers on the table. And each time we've stayed I got a rose after the first time saying I like the roses and Mike gave me one. It's nice to see they remember us.
