We stayed at the Neal cabin - it was huge probably too big for a family of 4 but it felt like our home away from home. Loved the history of the Coulter family. The cabins have been beautifully renovated. If you looking to get away from the city, or take your kids to Crater of Diamonds park (40 minute drive). Enjoy the country but have modern commodities, this is amazing place to stay. Start the day with your hot coffee from the Keurig coffee machine, and hot breakfast delivered your door in the morning by your host Brad. Breath pure oxygen from all the trees surrounding the property. Hear the birds chirping, and get greeted by Penelope. Get online check in. This was on of our best experience on a bed and breakfast and we can't wait to come back.

It combines the best of the past and present. We loved everything about our stay here except having to leave. Has everything you would need for however long you could stay. Full kitchen and bath, bbq, fire pit, great internet, fireplace... great views from your rocking chairs on your front porch. The mercantile is stocked with fantastically curated finds! All in all this venu/Air B and B is a find at a great price! Breakfast can be delivered to your door for $12 a person if you so choose and fire wood is sold at the mercantile. Pets are welcome and they have some sweet cats that visit if you're lucky. The town of Washington is historic and gorgeous as well! Don't miss this opportunity.

Sitting on the porch relaxing, delicious snacks, all homemade. The breakfasts were amazing each day; we were so full. Conversations with Joe and Cody and we met mom Sharon. It was like staying with good friends. I cannot thank them enough for all the hospitality. We walked into town daily, visited their Saturday farmer's market. Joe cooked us a 5-course meal for Saturday night, wow, again high light of our trip. I haven't seen that much fine dinnerware and crystal in I don't know how long. It was so much fun. We will be back with friends.

When we were there, the house was so beautifully decorated for Christmas, inside and out. We stayed in the East Chamber, a beautiful suite on the 2nd floor. All the rooms have large jacuzzi tubs, but our suite had it situated in front of an electric fireplace. We could not have been happier with our beautiful and comfortable room. Joe is a self trained chef, and his palette and skills are beyond compare. When we arrived, there was a freshly made chocolate cake with raspberry filling, house made cookies all the time, and other snacks and drinks available all the time. His breakfast is sumptuous and perfectly delicious, with offerings that change every day. He is also very mindful of dietary restrictions and does everything to please his guests. Absolutely everything is made from scratch, from Chorizo to teriyaki sauce, Joe does it all. If you book in advance, he will even do a special dinner on Saturday night. Trust me when I tell you this may be the highlight of your visit

This establishment is not pet-friendly as advertised: (1) was charged twice for the pet (1 small dog) fee (billing has reviewed the receipt and is working on the correction/refund). Got yelled at by restaurant staff (Y****da) in front of other guests for bringing the10-12 pound dog on a leash into the area for breakfast (the previous Hampton stayed at allowed a dog on a leash in he area to get a plate of food) and she loudly and openly accused us of lying while near the food when we replied we never saw the sign prohibiting this action. A lot of things went wrong at this establishment; can't recommend it to others. Y should not have yelled and also her body language (hand on one hip, then arms crossed, then hand on the hip again) screamed out disrespect and anger; instead, she chose to not be polite, explain the situation quietly and respectfully. She was quite awful. Further, because of this incident, we wanted to check out as fast as possible, however, no one was at the front desk (nor available by calling from the room's phone), even though later they claimed they were there the whole time. Had to leave the keys in the room. With all this going on, there is no way anyone would have felt welcome.
