They have 4 different themed cabins, 2 for pets and 2 for no pets. They are spaced far enough apart to give you your own room and not be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. There is also a large double-wide trailer that's called THE LODGE for larger groups. It has a large yard and is farther from the other cabins. There's a small creek that runs in front of the cabins. It was bubbling and all and if you come during the cooler months it'd be great to sleep with the windows up to fall asleep to. They come with satellite tv, pots, pans, dishes etc and sheets and towels. Unfortunately because of the covid we had to bring our own sheets & towels but that's no biggy. They also provide limited toiletries (soap, hand soap, dish soap, etc). There's chairs for the porch, a grill and fire ring and a picnic table to use. The cabin was nicely furnished and decorated with the LOVE theme. We had a queen size bed. It was way too hard for me but my wife slept fine. Not sure about anybody else but we had ZERO cell service there. There are also lots of dead zones in that area (at least for our carrier). It was VERY PEACEFUL AND QUIET!!!!!! Nobody running up and down halls or slamming doors off their hinges. We were told their were some atv trails close by but we didn't do that this time. There's many different options fairly close by and I would highly recommend the scenic loop that runs from Mena on into Oklahoma. I think it's about 55 miles long. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to stay I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AT LIVING WATER CABINS!!!!

The first time we stayed I talked to Mike about how I liked sunflowers the next time we stayed the same cabin now had a couple sunflower decorations and some sunflowers on the table. And each time we've stayed I got a rose after the first time saying I like the roses and Mike gave me one. It's nice to see they remember us. Both Mike and Carolyn are very friendly and great to talk to. I could definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

We Found the Real Diamonds -- and Their Names Are Sarah and Lynn!…read more Hands down the best campground we've ever stayed at! The place is spotless -- the tent sites are clean enough to eat off (not that we tried), and the bathhouse looks like it belongs in a glamping ad. Sarah and Lynn are absolute gems -- actually, scratch that, they're the real diamonds around here. They loaned us all the gear we needed to go mining and even showed us how to do it. We didn't strike it rich, but after hanging out with them, we felt like we did. They sell firewood at great prices and have a few handy items in the little shop -- not everything, but enough to save your forgetful self. The campground is quiet, beautiful, and ridiculously welcoming. We only planned to stay a couple nights, but six nights later we were still trying to come up with excuses not to leave. Perfect spot for hitting the Crater of Diamonds and a bunch of pretty lakes within a half hour's drive. If you're heading this way -- just book it. You'll dig it (literally).

Sarah loaned us the digging equipment and taught us how to use the equipment AND how to spot a diamond. Never found any diamonds but digging, washing and inspecting, although hard work, was fun. We went for many walks, sat in the swings, and swam in the creek. We explored nearby sights like Albert Pike. We also checked out the cemetery and it was really surreal to see all of the OLD (1800s) tombstones (or sometimes just small rocks.) The name says it all: it is very peaceful.

There was about 4-5 air freshners in the room including the air freshner that is sprayed daily which is enough scent to give you a migraine. Please stop with the air freshners! Some people are allergic to them (ME) Also the room is crooked and the shower door does not stay closed because of that . There is no curtains and the blinds are broken so at night you get a sunburn when you sleep(kind of like it`s the middle of the day)..But the good out weighted the not so..

Bonus: they'll even loan you screens and shovels for collecting at the park. This is a VERY clean house of two bedrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. And when I say clean... I mean SPOTLESS! We arrived late (don't ask us about the roads through Shreveport, LA. Really. Don't Ask!), but that wasn't a problem at all. Gary and Cerise had everything ready for us. Out back is a firepit and gas grill that you can use. Inside (if it's raining) there's a DVD player and a BIG collection of DVDs. Hint: Avoid the SciFi movie "Supernova"! You'll need to have a PayPal account to handle a down payment on the reservation, and they only take cash. It's a great place!

They already had the air conditioners on and the house was cool when we arrived!! They also loaned us tools for the Crater of Diamond state park for a small deposit. They have plenty of movies and outdoor games to keep the kids busy! I think the kids loved roasting marshmallows over the fire best, but the snowballs just feet away were their second favorite!! I would recommend to anyone going to the area.

It was a holiday weekend so maybe couldn't get a guy out to fix the direct tv - overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to stay! We were on a family trip that included Crater of Diamond state park. We needed a place to stay for…read morejust one night and we were having trouble deciding where that would be. Admittedly our family is a little particular. OK maybe very particular. We searched the immediate area and found this location but we're skeptical. The reviews on another site we're actually stellar which capped off our decision to try something a little unique and we were not disappointed. Samantha's timber Inn appears to be an old style motel that has been completely renovated. Each room as unique as the website indicates with a specific theme. Ours was a boat theme and the pictures posted here don't do the place justice. Tongue and groove pine board paneling and matching decorations down to the shower curtain made you feel like you were in a ship. The space is sprawling including a separate bedroom with a queen size bed. It was meticulously clean and very well appointed. TVs, microwave, coffee maker with coffee and condiments. Super plush towels. Comfortable beds. Wi-fi. We had just pulled in and I received a call asking if we arrived OK and had found the key under the doormat as promised. Check out was smooth and easy. We felt incredibly comfortable in the space and would recommend it to anyone but especially a family.
