It's also in a great location since it's close to the casino, mineral baths, and other fun and beautiful attractions in Hot Springs. We stayed for a long weekend for a wedding that was held in the property and everybody made everything so easy for all of us. Nate is deserving of a Michelin star for his cooking and baking. We were away from the road and it was so quiet. It was just nostalgic for us to stay in an older "motel" atmosphere that had been refurbished so nicely. The location is so convenient too. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to catch an early breakfast on Sunday morning at the cafe. It was fantastic.

Yeah it may not be as modern and chic as the big hotel chains but it's still a great place to stay.

It has free wifi, lots of USB outlets, a mini fridge in each room, a flat-screen TV with Roku, and lovely-smelling complimentary toiletries. This looks like an old-fashioned drive-in motel, so there are little porches outside of each room, and the rooms face the parking lot. Motel attendants seem to be at the office around check out and check in time, but otherwise, the office is closed. But if you need something, there's a phone number that you can text or call. I had to ask for some towels, and I texted, and they were quick to answer. Dame Fortune's is located just slightly on the outskirts of Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs. It's kind of nice that it's not in the thick of things, so if you want to stay in a place that's a little off the beaten path, this is the place. You get a different perspective of the area in this part of the city here. Across the street from Dame Fortune is an old hamburger stand that sells ice cream. There are some empty buildings with tasteful graffiti. This area is on the cusp of being transformed, so I'm sure by the time you visit, it will look completely different. In any case, this is a really cool part of Hot Springs, and it makes sense that a really cool motel is situated here.

The outside sitting areas were my favorite .... tables and chairs, fire pit, swing and the dock were all just lovely. The cabin was immaculate! I thought I was clean but I definitely need to step up my game Hahahaha. Sharon welcomed us when we got there a bit early from our fight and was so sweet, accommodating and great.

Has a full kitchen with all the amenities!! We grilled out steaks the first night and just had to provide our own charcoal. Coffee maker and filters were there so bring your own coffee. They had S&P for you. The cabin came with a 4 person paddleboat that was so fun. We jumped off the dock and swam in the lake. It was very refreshing and safe. We drove into Hot Springs the next day (about 20 minutes drive) and did the touristy thing walking down Bathtub Row and stopped in for a quick drink at the Ohio House. Learned a lot about Al Capone & the Arlington Hotel. Was a great mini vaca. Thank you to the Smiths for being such amazing hosts!!! Was a fabulous place to make great memories with the older kids!!

Five10 Orange Hotel - Hot Springs…read more You can tell this building and everything in it has character. (I appreciate that). No one here to check you in. I had no one to greet me or assist me. Everything is done through email and or phone. Exterior building definitely looks like it's part of Hot Springs history. Floors are old, some of the walls are old, including a large square hole on the wall. Nonetheless, it shows the owners put some effort renovating it, before making it accessible for the guests. In the email before your arrival they will send you instructions on where to park, (limited availability), how to get in the building and your room. FRONT ENTRANCE: You have options between the two large orange doors - requires you to unlock the key box to get the key out and unlock the doors. I tried it several times, I could not get it to unlock. Or, you can go to the other door, to the right of the two doors. This door, you type in the keypad and it will unlock it. No issues for me. ROOM: Once you find one of 14 rooms, you will have another keypad to enter your access code, you will receive in your welcome email. (Email is very lengthy, but lots of helpful info). When I opened my door, my king room suite looked cozy, inviting and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was good too, with upgraded features. The large shower-head is misleading as water pressure was very low. My bathtub faucet kept leaking throughout the entire stay. MESSAGE BEFORE CHECK-OUT: "Before you leave, please remember not to accidentally leave with any inventory (towels, keys, tv remote, etc.) as our cleaners are instructed to let us know if anything is missing from most recent guest." It's not exactly professional way to send off your guests. However, I do understand being an owner, you have to put some rules with guests. I can see how many reviews stated that owners accuse guests of theft, at check out. At least, owners are transparent with guests. Changing wording may help avert bad assumptions. Overall the room wasn't bad. Very minimalistic and no additional amenities for this hotel. I wouldn't even qualify this as a boutique hotel. Some things they put effort into it, others cheap materials that is already seeing wear and tear. In the middle of the night power went out in entire building and we were without power and A/C for few hours. I would still consider staying here. Price was good and honestly, you can't beat being close to downtown Hot Springs.
