I got a pair of 1" round 14k white gold diamond hoops to match a diamond bangle I just got from Whiteflash (I invite you to read that review, too!) What really drew me to these earrings was the safety clasp which makes these very secure- you need to press the little button to open the earrings. Why spend $2K on earrings with a snap bar closure when they could pop off and bye bye diamonds! That has happened to me with sterling earrings & fashion gem earrings - which made me sad...if it happened to me with diamond earrings? I'd be devastated! We purchased a 20,000$ ring, which lost 4 stones from around the halo within one year. David replaced them free of charge however when it because clear that there was a problem with the ring he said that it was our fault because we gave him the wrong size originally and because he has to resize it again that is why the diamonds (on the halo!!!) are falling out. The halo would not have been touched at all during resizing because it is in no way connected to the band of the ring. He misled us to believe that he was "making" a pair exactly how we want as per the photos and that it would be ready in about a week in time for my birthday. When I got to the office the earrings looked nothing like what we asked for, we wanted a very thin micro halos around the stones and we got fat bulky halos, just completely not anything special like we wanted. The conversation on the phone with him since he was on vacation was rather shocking because he started saying that the photo was blurry and it sounds like we want something custom made. He never said that when we sent the original photos, he just said that it will look "just like what you want- probably better" and mislead us into thinking that he is ALREADY "making" something especially for us. Given that we have spend nearly 40,000$ between my engagement ring and the necklace I would think that you not let this happen. We trusted that he was making something for us and therefore stopped looking confident that these would be ready perfectly in time for my birthday as promised. Dave, I hope that you don't mislead your customers like this in the future, particularly when you know that a special occasion is involved. The proper thing to do would have been to say that it can not be done while you are on vacation. You knew that it couldn't be done while you were away but you knew that if you said that we would find something else in time for my birthday. Dave's response to my frustration was: "Sorry you were disappointed - we did our best given the budget and circumstances. We wish you a very Happy birthday." You did not once mention that the budget or circumstance would be an issue! As if 5,000$ is a measly budget for what we were asking for! read more

I was required to sign for them which was not a problem since they were a higher-priced purchase. The description said greenish-yellow diamonds. I put them against my white diamonds, then against my yellow diamond. Although you cannot tell that they are greenish-yellow just by looking at them with the naked eye, they definitely have their own "personality." It is really hard to tell the colour and the size of earrings when purchasing online. My advice is to ask all questions before purchasing. Compare the dimensions given by measuring earrings you already have. I must say these are beautiful earrings, the size is exactly what I was looking for and the price was just right! I've been wearing them constantly since my purchase in April and I am delighted! P.S. I purchased some "safety" backs by Lox available online and in stores. Very bad experience buying a diamond. Had countless emails back and forth about $30 refund in shipping charges after purchasing a $3,000 diamond. At the end the owner stated he wouldn't send me the refund after promising it on several occasions documented in emails. I mean talking about petty. Besides that, the whole experience of purchasing was extremely annoying. I kept clarifying I just wanted the diamond, and the owner kept insisting on making the whole ring with the diamond. The selling was heavy. The customer's wishes completely ignored.
