I do hope the rest of your vacation goes well. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you. At least for the loss in parking fees. The person who answered asked if they didn't mind if another passenger in the taxi, he said as long as they were splitting the cost of it and the woman said no they weren't. She said it would be a half hour. She came by 30 minutes later with another passenger stating it was her friend, and still stated that my dad had to pay the entire fair. It appeared that they were trying to swindle my dad into paying for this man's ride out to Medford. The entire incident was unprofessional and unsavory. I don't recommend using this company. It was over 90 degrees out while my father waited for the service. This is unacceptable. We were having a backyard bbq and I had a few drinks and was unable to drive him back unfortunately.

At 7:50 I called back, waiting outside to be picked up, but no taxi. After speaking with another diver, he told me he is 2 hours away. I then tried to reason with him, letting him know about my pick up time. He still stuck with the ''It will be 2 hours'' answer. When I needed a car service out of MFR I had trouble finding reviews or recommendations, so shame…read moreon me for not posting my own review before today because I have now used EMC Black Car Service at least half a dozen times. I believe I got their name originally from the front desk at Ashland's historic Ashland Springs Hotel, but it has been a few years now so that's a guess. I prefer a pre-booked car service to ride shares because I have some physical limitations due to autoimmune disease, and I find the casual drivers of Lyft or Uber cars often don't really know (or refuse to follow) the sometimes confusing rules about dropping off and picking up riders with accessibility needs. I visit southern Oregon for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival 2-3 times per year, and I also fly into MFR when I have business in California's Del Norte county, so I'm a regular visitor to the region. Melynda has been my most frequent driver from EMC. I think the other driver I had once was Eric. EMC has always shown up as scheduled with a clean, comfortable car and a professionally dressed driver. Both are more formal than I need, but I appreciate the focus on professionalism. Communication via email, phone, and text message is always clear and easy. One time, when I traveled with a friend who has extreme allergies, I felt like great care was taken to understand what might be a risk to my friend and make sure she would be safe in the vehicle. I live in a much larger metro area so the price for EMC's service feels like an absolute bargain compared to what I pay to get to my nearest airport. You will pay more than you would for Uber/Lyft, but you will receive a predictable, premium experience for that extra cost.
