Always a faithful option when I'm back on Long Island. They're usually pretty busy but it's because they do lovely work at a great price point. 10/10 would recommend calling in advance to make sure they have a slot for the work you want to get done. If you're trying to decide to treat yourself between EITHER a mani or a pedi, I recommend pedicure all the way. This has been my go-to spot for as long as I can remember. Prices are good and they do a great job every time. I usually get at least 2 1/2 weeks out of their gel manicures which are $22 regular and $30 french. They also have a nice selection of different pedicures that are all reasonably priced. Went in because I saw a girls nails and they looked cute so she said she went to Diamond Star Nail on Main St in Islip well when I went in I asked for a fill-in, and I wanted a marble design on two fingers and the rest a plain color...nothing crazy and a pedicure. When I showed them the picture of the marble design (pictured) she looked at me like I was crazy so I picked something else, a simpler design with just literally sparkles/stickers (shown in photos), & they STILL looked at me crazy like they have never heard of this or seen this trend, so at this point I just left. It's unfortunate that "nail techs" aren't updated with the new trends from at least 2017+ ....dissatisfied and waste of time. read more

Been going to this nail salon since it opened 10 years ago. Judy John and Lucy were the original 3 and now they have expanded so much that they bought out Queen Mary's in East Islip last year-- now named Happy Nails. Judy is the head owner of both, and they take all of your feedback seriously. If you want a specific color they'll order it for you. Sunny is the best person there at Diamond right alongside Judy John and Lucy. She is so nice, takes her time, makes your nails perfect and is so good that you have to make an appointment for her during busy hours. The only negative is the wait. Even if you call and say you'll be there in 2 minutes and they say to come you still wait at least 15 minutes. Other than that they're the best salon in town! read more

I've been to this place several times. I went for a pedicure yesterday afternoon a few hours before they closed. The person who did my pedicure (she has short hair, not sure of her name) did not do a good job and was worried about me tipping her in cash instead of on my card at the end. She didn't completely do every step of the pedicure yet she was expecting a tip afterward. She also wanted to up-sale and tried to convince me to do a manicure as well. read more

I have been coming here for a long time. I am never disappointed. I think they really do a nice job with their pedicures. The staff is friendly and they know me when I come in. I come there once a month. I have gotten gel manicures and they last about 3 weeks. I mainly go there for pedicures and I always get the callous remover pedicure because my heels tend to get calloused and rough.I feel relaxed when I am there. Sometimes there is a wait but I don't mind. I used to go to Helen's in East Islip before coming here but I thought the place was dirty and they did a terrible pedicure. This place is great. They use one time use tools and everything is sterilized. The staff are very friendly. I have tried manicure and pedicure as well as gel nails. They give great massages for both manicures and pedicures. They also provide a variety of colors to choose from. The gel nails stay on for minimal two weeks. read more

If I could give it less I would! Got a scathing case of athletes foot from this place. I gave the place another try and got athletes foot again. These people use an MTA card to take silk nails off instead of soaking your hands like they are supposed to. I haven't gone back in 5 years, and never got athletes foot again. If I could give one star I would. I have given this business multiple visits just to see if maybe it was a bad day. Got a manicure today at 5pm it's now 7pm and the polish is chipped (no washing dishes or cooking etc). My nails are not filed evenly despite asking for them to be fixed. When giving the woman doing my nails her tip today she snatched it from my hand without so much of a thank you. (Also not the first time I had this woman do my nails and have the same experience.
