My nails were done excellently. Lasted longer than any other place. Too bad I live in Florida or I would go there all the time. I highly recommend this place read more

I really love this nail salon. Very clean. I usually can walk in without appointment. No matter who does my nails, they do a great job.

I had a UV gel manicure from Kevin and he was great. Took his time and my nails look fantastic. If you're looking for a good builder gel manicure look no further! read more

I love coming here!! They always do my nails really well. The service is fast and friendly. They are never too busy. The best part is that they keep to their reservations. My friend recommendeded this place after I commented about needing to get a new salon. ( I used to go somewhere else but everytime they would make me wait even with an appointment and was pretty annoying.) All the techs are really great and friendly. They are clean and always have room for people. Definitely recommend read more

Been going to this location for a little over a year. Had mediocre service. Some times were good while other times were not good. I think they are hugely homophobic. They even tried having the service provided by one of the males. He was probably one of the worst among them. Very disrespectful, they speak limited English while they talk in their native language the entire time they are servicing. Today they had me sit for ten minutes then told me it would be a 45 minute wait come back tomorrow and there was nearly two hours until closing. I find them continually rude and disrespectful and I wouldn't recommend their 2nd location in Islip on Main Street next to Starbucks. They're pricing is not competitive and very expensive. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

Big disappointment at E Islip Excellent Nails location. was talked into Callus Remover $12.00 extra which I really didn't need. The pedicure was mediocre at best and hardly a standard massage on the legs. Manicure was sloppy and cuticles not properly done. I will go back to my regular nail salon. They are closed on Monday and I thought I would try someplace new. Don't bother going there unless you want to be disappointed. Probably worst mani/pedi read more

Writing this from another salon as they fix my nails... Worst fill I've ever gotten. The guy had barely any idea what he was doing, my nails were bumpy and covered in acrylic liquid. The brush he used was FILTHY. I went in asking for French and it was HORRIBLE. I stopped him after the did the third extremely uneven French. They still charged me $45 no problem though! read more

I wish I read the reviews before I went here. Needless to say I am not happy. I showed up with a picture of exactly what I wanted the shape, the color, the design everything. I was going from a very slight coffin to stiletto which come to find out was an additional five dollars. I said no thanks I'll keep the coffin shape. I specifically stated that I wanted sharp corners and not rounded corners throughout the filing process. I had to repeatedly check the shape and ask her to make sharper corners because they always somehow ended up rounded. And truthfully, by the third or fourth time I've just given up. Then we get to the design, and I had to again let her know that the design was either lopsided or looked uneven. When I went to check out, I expressed how unhappy I was and either the owner or whoever was in charge, came over and tried to say that she could fix it but at that point, my nails are polished and done, and I had zero desire to sit there any longer. read more

Just got this fill in yesterday. The prices here are absolutely ridiculous. $70 for a fill in. I was going to get chrome nail polish but he tried charging me an extra $15 which would have made them $85. Don't get me wrong the nails are not bad but i was charged $10 extra for a shape change that took him two minutes and he also took 2 hours to complete the fill in. Unfortunately this is insane and i will not be returning read more

I always get my nails done by Angel! She is the best I can give her any design and she could do it! She knows what she is doing not once have I been cut or burned. The most I have spent is 75 for every finger with a different design and that was my Disney ones. Mostly every time the price is around 60 never more, and that's usually with 2 fingers having designs. I also get powder never gel, because it's better for your nails. She also has an Instagram with all her nail designs it @isilpnails her work is amazing! Definitely go if you want amazing designed nails! read more

Completely dissatisfied. My nails came out horrible. The woman who did my nails definitely knew I didn't like them. I've been receiving nothing but bad comments on how they came out. I went in for acrylics with nail polish and some how walked out with them forcing me to get dip powder. Usually I go to my nail salon that I've been going to for years but wanted to try somewhere new. The whole time throughout the process the acrylics kept falling off my nails, she also forgot to put on a nail( I was confused why but you can tell she was rushing and didn't realize till she got to that nail to file it) and the powered kept bubbling as if she put too much powder on my nail at once. I wouldn't recommend this salon. They also weren't friendly or talkative it was very boring hour! read more

Awful manicure. I came in and asked for a regular manicure. I was then on multiple occasions to do a gel or powder manicure. I politely declined but was continually badgered to do a gel or powder. coco then said the regular manicure will only last two days. When again declined, she said the manicure will only last two days. To say the least, she proceeded to do the worst manicure I ever had. 15 minutes later I was at the dryer with barely filed nails. Don't go to this nail salon. so not worth the hassell or the price read more

$70 for the worse nail set of my life each nail is a different shape and the lady doing my nails was completely rude and fought with me when I said wanted the shape narrowed out more $70 for a basic nail set that should have been $55 I only go to this place as back up when Im in a rush or at work nails always nails usually break off after a week I'm never going here again and idt anyone should read more

I'm also adding, they over charged me. I originally asked for a gel pedicure and was told it was $38. I decided on just a regular pedicure and was told it would be $22. When I went to pay, "LiLi" first said the total would be $70. I was so aggravated by everything, I just wanted to get out of there. But when I finally looked at my bill I was charged $60. I didn't think much of it at the time. I finally sat down tonite and figured it out. I was charged $28 for a regular pedicure. So as I stated in my last review, I WILL NOT be going back there. Not only are they unprofessional. And arrogant, they rip you off!! The best way to tune a business is by "word of mouth" and I plan on doing just that. I will tell anyone who will listen about this place. And shame on them!!!!' read more

Busy nail place. They try hard to accommodate all the walk ins like myself. Good job on a basic pedi can last at least three weeks.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I was a frequent customer at Excellent nail for a while. I loved the cleanliness of the place, and for the first few times my nails looked nice. The workers started becoming obnoxious, talking very loudly across the salon. They aren't very friendly, and seem to have a bit of an attitude if they're not happy with your tip. Brushing that aside i got a UV gel manicure, for the soul purpose of it lasting a little bit longer than a regular manicure. But, a few days later, my nails were breaking and chipping. The polish was uneven and bumpy. Never again. read more

Terrible. Just don't do it. I get tips and gel color and when filing they hurt me so bad. I had to tell them multiple times. They are not smooth. I have paint on my fingers and my nails are so sharp they can cut some one read more

I went here once before because my mom said they did a great job when she first went. The first time I went it turned out okay, which was better than anywhere else i've been. So I went back and the lady who did my manicure was very rude. She didn't ask what I wanted just started to file and shape my nails not even knowing what i wanted. She did them all uneven lengths, some were crooked, and when I asked her to fix one she made it known she was annoyed about doing that and only fixed one nail. When she finished I paid and I gave her an average tip, nothing great or over the top as the services provided were not great at all. When I gave her the tip she looked at it held it up in front of her face, turned to another worker sitting by her and they both laughed. I turned around on my way out to see them both looking at me. Needless to say I will not be returning to this place. Not grateful for their customers. 10/10 would not recommend. Only 1 star because you can't do 0. read more

Third time I am reviewing this place. It's hit or miss. But this time was the final nail in the coffin. Never going back. I usually see Michelle. She was so nasty. Pulled my hand, made smirks at me and muttered under her breath. Was very harsh in her handling of my hands. I got tips with uv gel and asked for French. On accident I hit a nail under the uv light...this pissed her off and she treated me even worse. My thumb nail is crooked and my nails feel sticky. I had my nails on for three years. A month or so ago several fell off and I noticed a mold on the tip of my natural nail under the gel. I removed all the nails and waited for them to heal before having them done again....and this was how Michelle treated me. On top of all that she charged me $95.00. Never ever going back. I already told 3 people to not go there. Dirty, extremely rude, rough, and over priced. P.S. I have never paid this much before. I am shocked. They lost a loyal customer today. read more

I have come to this place for the past 2 years and never had a bad experience. Yesterday, experienced the worst service and they lost my business. The guy doing my nails insulted my nails telling me I had terrible nails. He then was obviously talking about me to his co workers. He rushed doing my nails and they came out terrible. I am extremely insulted. The whole entire staff as well is unpleasant all the time. I do not recommend going here. read more

So glad I found this nail salon. It is always so clean and everyone is always so nice. They do a great job.

I have been going here for the past 3 years and have no issues. The last time I had gone I had gel powder and the finish came out clumpy and I was totally unhappy about it, but I had returned and they had fixed their mistakes with no problem or attitude. They have a wide variety of colors, I've been coming here like I said for the past 3 years with no issues. read more

I went as a first timer this morning and worked with Hannah. She was very friendly, paid close attention to detail, and took her time. I got the sns powder. The ombré was $50 (15 more than a solid color) and Hannah was upfront with the price difference and confirmed I was ok with it. I will be returning. read more

I set an appointment on labor day weekend and when I showed up they told me I needed to wait 30 minutes. So why should I bother making appointments then. I will never go back to this place. read more

I love Angel. She is the best one there. Everyone is always friendly and kind. I don't mind them chatting with each other because I don't expect service people to be silent...everyone needs to be able to enjoy their work space too. Plus I love different languages so, maybe I just appreciate it more than others. It's always busy so I recommend making an appointment. I've tried several in the area from cheap to expensive. Great reviews to no reviews. This place is both moderately priced and offers great service. Oh, and they adore children. My 11 year old also loves getting her nails done there. read more

Decided to try them again after my first review. I went with an open mind and smiles and left again feeling grumpy and grossed out. The nail tech decided it was OK to use the same tools he used on the customer before me, on me. Before I let him touch me with those dirty tools, I asked if they had clean tools because that's disgusting what he was about to do. He shrugged and came back with a pre packaged set of tools this time. Had I not said anything, he would have used the same tools on me. Foot FUNGUS?!? The entire time all nail techs were talking loudly to each other and had no concern for customers trying to relax. They are unprofessional and frankly, quite obnoxious. Will not be returning for these reasons. read more

Clean, big polish selections...The service definitely depends largely on who is doing your nails. I think Hannah and Becky are wonderful for nails AND massage... there are a few other good ones, but I don't know their names. I have had some manis/gels/massages done by other workers that was not up to par...one of the men always acts annoyed. I tend to overtop by a lot but I noticed when I don't, I don't get the same service read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. First strike was a line of customers waiting for them to open one morning and they still weren't there 20 mins after there sign said they would be open. Second strike was my mom had two gift cards. One had a date on it and one didn't. She asked if they would honor the one that had the date bc it was a couple weeks after the expiration and they said they wouldn't! I think that is ridiculous bc obviously they aren't too strict on it since the other one didn't even have a date. And it was only 14 days after expiration. Third and final strike was having an appointment at 415 and sitting in cold water at the pedicure chair til 445 while they take someone who came in after me and had a later appointment. I wouldn't waste your time or money here! Vivi nails In Islip Terrace does a much better job and its much more relaxing. read more

absolutely horrible, she made half of my nails 10x longer than the others, asked for coffin and half are boxes. extremely uneven. she was rushing like as if she had a time limit, extremely sloppy. i needed her to correct almost everything and they still turned out horrible. i had my appointment set and still had to wait at least 15 minutes until anyone even looked at my nails read more

First time, found them here on yelp! I went on a slow week night with not many people there. I was greeted immediately and staff was nice. Didn't have a chance to choose what I wanted really, felt a little rushed, and I had the only male worker who seemed distracted. Over all good, I'd still go back! read more

Stopped in because my regular place was closed. The technician took out cuticle clipper that was not in sterile packaging from under his desk. While my gel manicure was drying, he ran to remove toenail polish from a woman in a pedicure chair, and returned to me without washing his hands. My hand massage lasted barely 10 seconds, and no shoulder massage was given. Would not return. read more

This nail salon is clean and neat with a great selection of Essie & OPI polishes. I came in for a pedicure with my mother this past weekend and we were taken immediately which was nice. The staff was friendly and cheerful. The pedicure was far from acceptable. They cut our toenails and didn't file them into shape, nor did they push the cuticles. The entire pedicure was done in 15 minutes, what a waste of money. read more

I got to Excellent nails around 6:15 thinking they close at 7. Was pleasantly surprised to see they're open til 7:30 which made me feel less bad for going. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile from staff and they took me immediately for a set of tips with UV gel. (I was a first timer walking in crossing my fingers that they'd have an availability for a walk in). Becky did my nails and I just felt like I had to comment. She was very nice, she took her time taking care of me (even so close to closing time) and I felt very comfortable. Nice atmosphere and the music was good. She finished at exactly 7:30 and invited me back in 2 weeks for my fill in. I just felt compelled to say thank you for friendly service, and taking the time and I will be back ! read more

Went in for a gel manicure, came out with lumpy, uneven nails....

i liked this place at first, i just came back from there... i have a nail fungus....but what really got me....they tried to cover up the fungus with a nail extension, like there was nothing wrong!! then they charged me full price! i don't think they know what they're doing. I've had my nails done acrylic/silk wrap for 16 years and I've never had a problem until now. don't go there. read more

The place was clean and the staff was friendly, however I got a gel french manicure and it is horrible! There are bumps in the polish and two days later the tips are starting to chip. I recently had a gel french manicure elsewhere 3 weeks ago... and it lasts perfectly for 3 weeks. Will not be visiting here again. read more

I like Summer she does a great job with the SNS nails they lasted 3 weeks with no chips! One thing that I wasn't too happy with was one time I had an appointment and they were taking walk-ins and having me switch technicians so my nails were done by 4 different people. It just loses that personal touch not to mention it takes much longer in the chair as they change positions and I'm waiting there. Other than that, I do really like the salon, very clean and prices are reasonable. read more
