We were put on a "short list" because we were without heat, and the process was absolutely seamless thanks to the kind facilitation of representatives Sasha, Samantha, and Adri. These professionals were friendly and knowledgeable, and we feel that they went beyond the call of duty when they descended into the crawl space under our house to repair a torn pipe when it was detected that no warm air was emanating from one of our vents. Diamond Heating has been rock solid reliable for us for at least 20 years. They recently installed a new Trane furnace for us that we love, and we have two gas fireplaces at either end of the house that they have maintained and kept running for us beyond their expected lifespan. Last summer we had a gas line leak outside the house. I called to report smelling gas and they responded immediately sending a tech out within the hour to assess. The tech shut down the lines and instructed me on how to coordinate with the gas company. I really appreciate having this company on our side and highly recommend them. They aren't the cheapest, but their prices are reasonable and fair. read more

Recently had them do work for me. They refused to give me an itemized bill. Says against there policies. They quoted me one product but installed another. I'm sure at a cheaper cost to them but will not disclose. From what I can figure out atleast a 75% mark up on main components installed. 500% mark up on the permit. But throw in deceptive things like maintenance and operation costs to justify it. Would not disclose how many hours I was charged for and price per hour for the installation. Just a total labor cost after many requests just to have them give me that. No explanation on why different parts where installed rather than what was quoted. Blaming there vendor. If I could go negative stars I would definitely do so. BE AWARE OF this business if you use and before agreeing to ANYTHING ask for specifics. If they will even give them to you. Better business beurue will be my next contact to report them. read more

We live in Long Beach, WA, and got a quote from this company for adding propane service, installing a stove in our living room, and putting in a tankless water heater. Clearly, they know their business, rep excellent product lines, and employ people who are courteous and very knowledgable. We ended up going in a different direction because we found a less expensive stove elsewhere, but we loved our interaction with this company and would shop here again if the opportunity arises. read more

We had residential heat pumps installed. Rich and Cody were prompt, friendly, and very considerate of our stuff (some of which was initially in their way). They installed five interior units connected to two exterior heat exchangers The interior and exterior installations are clean. When they found the sites for the external units needed gravel, they went and got gravel and made them very nice They were enthusiastic about heat pumps and shared how much they liked theirs. I was told i needed to replace the whole heat pump unit (10k) Took my 5k deposit and SAT ON IT for many many months, through the winter. No heat, no updates. When I finally gave up and asked for my deposit back HEY WE HAVE YOUR UNIT WHEN WOULD YOU LIKE IT INSTALLED? I had to go to Seaside twice and beg . The owner is a horse's ass. The employees look scared and try to be nice. What a pig, he threatened me and humiliated me and FINALLY I got it back, wow. I had it serviced by P&L Johnson and no problems, no trying to sell me something I don't need, I feel violated and taken advantage of. The employees are nice. The owner, I wonder how they stayed in business so long. There are better companies out there. I would give ZERO stars if I could. Negative stars. read more

Very overpriced. Received an estimate for work that did not need done and the person clearly had not even looked at the heating vents.

Called Diamond Heating on 3/13/2023 for service on our 8 year old TRANE heat pump that was blowing cold air out vents. The scheduler said the tech would be out on 3/16/2023 between 10am and 12pm. By 1:30pm I was tired of waiting so I finally called the office for a new ETA they said he should be their in 45 minutes she clamed she tried to call me I confirmed she had my number and it was correct. I told her NOBODY CALLED ME. CJ the tech who was great finally arrived at 3pm he apologized and said he did not know why the office gives those times since he was on a big commercial job. CJ replaced the starter capacitor and only charged me a 1/2 labor and $20 dollars for the part and Wala heat. CJ ran the unit in heat mode for a few minutes everything looked good tempters out vents were 95 degrees. Turned heat back on later that evening and COLD air out the vents again. Called diamond heating next morning 3/17/2023 told them heat only worked for one cycle. Rescheduled for same day tech CJ was on time reevaluated found loss of 1/2 the freon in the system we had a leak. CJ tested could not locate the leak due to time restrictions. Still no heat had to reschedule. After 2 more service calls for a total of 4 service calls plus several parts and $1,910 we finally had heat back on 3/24/23. I will note CJ our tech was awesome has 26 years experience did try to save us money where he could but the Diamond heating office people communication was a big fat zero during the entire ordeal I always had to call them. 5 stars for CJ zero stars for office people. Also by the way I still have not received a invoice from the office as of 3/28/2023 We did have emergency heat from the air handler unit so were also expecting a huge power bill soon. read more

Exceptional service! Dan is always extremely responsive and clearly cares about his customers. He is very friendly and accommodating. What I thought was an unsolvable problem they quickly resolved and saved me thousands of dollars which was a huge help to myself and my family. They came all the way to Government Camp and serviced the fireplaces at the resort. They were the only company with the knowledge and willingness to help us with fire places that are no longer manufactured and many with issues. Not only was their knowledge and skill set exceptional, their staff was clean, polite and efficient. Avoid at all cost. Had them service a gas fireplace insert. The fail-safe pilot light valve was faulty so if the pilot light went out, gas would continue into the fireplace and house. This was a documented problem with this manufacturer. Diamond said the manufacturer would fix it at no charge. Later on the manufacturer decided not to pay for it and Diamond wanted us to pay for it. We told them that they said there would be no charge. They said the person who told us this was wrong and wanted us to pay anyway. We paid but will never use them again. There are plenty of other companies in the area. Find one of them and DO NOT USE DIAMOND. read more

What a nightmare! We first had them do a heat pump maintenance call, which went fine, although they never gave us the quote we'd asked for until the 3rd request for the crawlspace vents (and then twice gave us quotes for insulation which was not the request). But, we decided to go ahead and have them come and do an estimate to install a bath fan as well as install the range hood and accompanying ventilation, and they sent a quick email with a proposed price and said they'd be by between 8-9AM on the 31st to do the work. On the 30th, they left a message saying they'd see us in the afternoon so I had to call them back and remind them they'd promised an 8-9am arrival time, as we are in the middle of a massive remodel and also having plans that afternoon, they needed to come when scheduled. She eventually fixed it but had to talk about how busy they were with other customers (never an excuse to share with a customer - are we not as important as other customers?!). The guy showed up at 9am and immediately asked us why our range hood was not installed - um, because that's what we're paying YOU to do?! He said they don't even do that and to do the venting WE'D have to put it in and he could come back later and do the vent. Then he had the nerve to claim it "was in the contract" - um, Diamond never sent us a contract, we got an email and that was it, nothing formal at all. Then started blaming US saying that he told us at the time of the proposal we'd have to do that - not true at all, we asked for the range hood to be installed, period. No one in any of the emails said a damn thing about us getting it installed. THEN he goes to install the bath fan and tells us we're going to have to fix the drywall afterwards as he doesn't do that. Fine, whatever, another thing not disclosed in the estimate. Then he opens up the wall and puts it in THEN comes out and says we're going to have to hire an electrician to wire it. WTF!! Another thing no one told us about - and christ, if you aren't doing this work yourself you HAVE TO TELL THE CUSTOMER BEFOREHAND! This is something we now need to PAY an electrician to do and that's even if they can wire it without tearing up our flooring in the room above that bathroom! All the while he was shaking his hand pointing at me as I'm sitting in my chair, telling me that we knew this stuff. We are furious to put it mildly, and cancelled the range hood vent job entirely because why would we work with a company who omitted such vital information, not to mention now have to just hope and pray the wiring can be done (which we have to pay out of pocket for). By the way? He said he called the office while at our house and admitted THEY didn't even know about the wiring. Talk about a completely unprofessional, inept operation! Stay far, far away from Diamond HVAC. Update as of 9/11: On 9/1 the owner emailed and said he'd call me on Tuesday the 4th. No call, no word from him of course. Electrician came by today and said that because Diamond chose the 'worst possible place' for a bath fan (next to the toilet! not even at the top of the wall where the steam from the shower would be!) that the electrical work to wire this would take 2 guys a half day to fix, which would basically put us at over $1000 out of pocket for A BATH FAN. They also said Diamond should have automatically talked to an electrician before installing it, which they did not. So many kinds of wrong in this experience. Have told the owner that we are not paying a "bath fan installation" bill for something that was never truly installed and done without any electrical consult. Again, stay far away from this disreputable business. read more

I have called them for a few problems. One time they told my I needed a new heater, but a 2nd heating company said that was wrong and fixed the real issue. The second time, Diamond told me I needed a new heat exchanger but never followed up. Also, there was very little basis for this diagnosis, for they didn't do any real testing - it was just based on one bad blow-back sensor. I got a bill for diagnostics three months later without a word in between. By then, I had another company fix the problem, which was similar, but not exactly the same as what Diamond had predicted. Also, the problem was clearly demonstrated to me, something Diamond had not done. I argued with Diamond that nothing was actually repaired, that I was never called back, that I was never told that I would be billed, that the diagnostics was incomplete, and that I was generally unhappy with their service. They basically threatened to send me to collections if I didn't pay, and were unwilling to settle our differences though a conversation. They felt that they had provided an accurate diagnosis and that they had attempted to follow up but that I never returned their messages. This is possible, but I honestly don't think that is true. Every time I've had to deal with this company, I've found them unprofessional. (bad language from their technicians, poor customer service, actions that seem dishonest). (I can not prove they are dishonest. I can only go by my gut feeling and the fact that both times I've called them they've tried to sell me a new furnace based on unclear evidence). My landlord made arrangements as my heating system wasn't working. Michelle gave me a call first thing in the morning and said they could have a guy go out the next day. Gave me a two hour time frame. I requested to have a 30 min heads up so i could leave work and head home. She actually called me back and said they had a guy that could go out same day. She also called again to give me that 30 min window i needed. Guy came (Glen) and worked around the mess we had in the garage since we just moved in. Figured out the problem within 10 min. Had it fixed within an hour. Awesome service. read more

We had our mini split ductless heat pump serviced last week. We were pleased to see the technician, Brady, wearing a mask. Brady was extremely knowledgeable of our Mitsubishi unit, and explained each step of the maintenance procedure as he performed it. He fully answered all of our questions, and gave us great advice for operating our unit more efficiently. We will definitely use Diamond Heating for future work on our heat pump, and also plan to utilize them for upcoming maintenance on our gas fireplace. read more

They spent three days in my scary basement installing a new efficient gas furnace with a super air filter system, they ran two additional gaslines, and cleaned up the tangled mess of ducting that has been there for decades. We recently purchased a new home (a past vacation rental) in the North Coast area and were aware that there were some problems with the heating system, not to mention the system not having been serviced for over 5 years. Brady, at Diamond Heating, not only took the time to help us understand the complex system with a tankless water heater and radiant heating, but also completely serviced the entire systems, as well as repaired several aspects of the system that were obviously not optimally installed (a DIY job). We were impressed with Brady's professionalism, in over three visits, getting the different pieces of our system to work, but also to provide us reasonable quotes on what it would take to fix it, both at a minimum or to function optimally. For example, he was able to decipher a randomly manafactured radiant heating system manual and figure out how to connect it to the tankless water heater system, including balancing the water pressure between the two systems. Being an electrical engineer, I was impressed with this technical adeptness. He and his teammate also repaired all our vents to the furnace and water heater (one of which had become a rat's home, eww)! Brady also went above and beyond from our perspective, making sure that we understand how to use the system in an energy-efficient manner and even removed a decomposing dead rat that had been buried under the system (and got rid of the stench, which we hadn't realized was the problem). Thank you Brady and Diamond Heating for getting our whole heating system in a fantastic condition! We look forward to using them as our heating servicer for years to come. read more

Improperly installed my wood stove insert. Fan was not leveled and buzzed loudly. Diamond Heating said not under warranty and so I had to contact manufacturer that said it was and " Diamond Heating should have known that"... Finally got my brother in law to fix it after two failed attempts with Diamond Heating. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with these guys. They bent over backwards to accommodate our tight timeline and were so helpful. We ended up buying 3 fireplaces from them. One wood and 2 gas inserts. I highly recommend this company. The staff is courteous and so thoughtful. Our first night in our house they brought us wood to burn since the gas inserts weren't working yet. Who does that? These guys are awesome. read more
