We have used this company twice. The first time was good. The second time a few days ago, was not as good. The response was quick and the work completed was satisfactory. However, the owner was not as upfront and informative as he shoud have been. We called to get a breaker replaced for the water heater. He sent a truck to our home with two service technicians. Long story short, he admitted that it was a one person job but since he had two techs in the truck he billed us for both. The bill was 750.00 to replace one breaker. When we complained, he said, "I'm sorry we are to expensive for you." If I was told that two technicians were coming and being billed as such, I would have called another company. You decide for yourself if this is fair business or not. read more

This is my second review for JJ electric. The first one was about six months ago and I am still totally satisfied with the results. Byron was the tech who did the work. For some reason, the Yelp app would not let me update that review directly which is why I am doing it here Izak did the work for the latest job on April 8th 2025. He did the troubleshooting on the garbage disposal not working. He found a faulty switch and receptacle and replaced things as should be. Just like the other tech he was focused, efficient, swift in the matter while being customer friendly as well. Thank you Isak!. Just as any other company JJ electric Service is a combination of the people who do the work per se and those managing the work. The two people with whom I connected were Richard and Jen. Just as their techs, they communicate well with the customers, and show transparency and honesty about what they can or cannot do. Electrical work is expensive yet the cost of both jobs shows that they are not taking advantage of their customers. Thank you. As I normally do I probably will update in the future most likely to confirm that everything done on this latest job is still working well! I am recommending JJ electric and their techs without reservation. read more

After bringing in two electricians from Portland area, finally decided to wait a few months to have JJ Electric fix an electrical issue at our beach house. Thank goodness we waited since they had a better understanding of old beach house wiring in coastal homes and were quickly able to diagnose the problem and solve it. Definitely keeping JJ Electric on vendor list. Thank you! read more

Izac knows what he is doing, not an easy job, replaced a chandelier that was located in a 40 foot ceiling. Great personality and a sharp employee. Sincerely, Dr. Glen Carey. Five star rating read more

Unbelievable! Showed up at our Seaside beach house on time and ready to work. Not operating on "beach time" like so many other "local" home repair contractors! From reading other reviews, this seems to be the way J&J Electric Service operates and I am confident when the job is finished, I will be pleased that I hired John's crew to do the job of removing the old knob and tube wiring and install a new meter base, weatherhead mast and electric panel. We will sleep better knowing the job is done right! The job was completed on time and Rich the electrician did an outstanding job. Cleaned up all residue and there were no surprises. The end result exceeded all our expectations. I would also like to add that I have never had a service provider present me with a bill for significantly less $ than the original quote! Thank you John! You and your team are a class act! I highly recommend JJ Electric Service for great professional service and exceptional value! read more

J&J did all of the electric work on my 118 year old remodel. They did an excellent job! After a year passed and some of the ceiling can lights were found to be defective, they returned and replaced all of them. They have integrity and stand by their work. All of the workers were very easy to work with and always left my home in perfect order. I have remodeled three homes and they are the best electricians I have ever hired. Thank you! read more

JJ Electric was great they updated a fuse box for us and installed some ceiling lights. They were very fast and friendly.

We've had JJ do multiple jobs at our house ranging from simple fixes to light fixtures to more significant jobs like replacing meter boxes and installing electric car chargers. They did high quality work on all jobs and were great to work with. Would definitely recommend them! read more

I hired JJ Electric to install a couple of large ceiling fans on a severely sloped, really high ceiling. Colton showed up on time with all the tools and experience to do the job right. Not your average fan install, but he did an exceptional job! I will use them again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND JJ ELECTRIC! read more

Wonderful service! James came out, and was able to track down the problem. He was very professional and personable. He got the job done right away! When I pointed out other areas that concerned me that weren't on the list of things to be done, he took care of those as well :-) I would highly recommend JJ Electrical Service read more

We have used JJ Electric for countless projects in recent months/years for the family home at the south end of Cannon Beach. Most recently for decommissioning some older wiring, and for the installation of reading lights with USB ports built-in next to the toggle switches, for convenience in a bedroom. The company listens to the customer request and often has input that makes for the best solution. The crew is always very good about communication regarding arrival and estimating time for the scope of projects. The guys are courteous, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Highly recommended! read more

We contracted with JJ Electric for our recent home addition. They turned out to be the best sub contractor we worked with during the 6 month remodel. Jason was the best communicator, always professional and prompt in getting back to us. The attitude was always- yes, we can do that! Ron was the contractor sent, he was so nice to work with and did a great job. He took care of complicated issues with the original electrical panel as well, something not on the original list but needing done. The project even came in under the quote. We will continue to call them for any electrical needs in the future. read more

This place did a great job on a panel replacement as well as adding the electrical for my heat pump. Everyone was courteous and their services were priced well. Highly recommend! read more

We just bought a house and had lots of things that needed to be done from installing new outlets (garage and attic for a new attic fan) to fixing switches that did not play well together. James arrived right on time and got to work. He finished all of the items quickly and accurately. He even figured out what one mystery switch worked! I highly recommend them and will call them whenever I need electrical work. read more

Absolutely sent the best electrician, prompt, courteous, knowledgable, thorough, and neat. Justin explained everything and made very useful suggestions. Being an electrician myself it was hard to call one to do work in my garage that I am no longer able to do because of my age. John was very understanding and helpful. We shared some stories as we were both working in Alaska years ago at the same time and knew one of the state electrical inspectors. John sent a journeyman and an apprentice. Great people and very competent electricians. They did a great job for me. Mine was a small job but John's crew made short work of it. I'd I highly recommend JJ for anyone looking for electrical work. read more

This company is trustworthy and dependable. I have used them several times and I'm totally impressed with their customer service and honesty. Best electrician in the Seaside area. read more

UPDATE: JJ electric has moved back to Seaside as of April 2015 I worked with John on two separate jobs -- on my house and separately on my shop. This was at the coast, when he was working out of Seaside. Before that he worked in Alaska doing commercial jobs. His depth of experience really shows, and his work and professionalism are top notch. He showed me things he does that many electricians don't, like always using the screw terminals on switches and outlets -- especially important on the coast where corrosion can make those quick-connects fail. Generators are a big thing here too and he's known in the area as "the guy" for generator jobs. His prices are reasonable and he gets the job done without any fuss. Highly recommended, I hope he does well in his new location. read more

JJ Electric is a great resource for your electrical needs. John was very helpful with me on the phone and took all the time I needed to get some things figured out for our new beach home upgrades. Weather caused for a reschedule and he was most accommodating. The crew that actually came for the service call were awesome. Punctual, courteous, and knowledgeable. My job was a bit challenging due to ridiculously high ceiling but they got the job done and it looks fantastic. Took time to answer our questions and make plan for their next visit to finish things up. I highly recommend this company. read more

The service guy was Efficient, thorough & polite. I would Recommend JJ Electric Service.

They installed new service in my Nehalem shop and it passed inspection first time. The manager had to drive down from Seaside to deliver a compliant mast conduit but it wasn't an issue. Prompt and reasonably priced, highly recommended. read more

Highly responsive, very reliable, excellent communicators, and they do exactly what they say they're going to do. John & Jason are excellent electricians running a very professional operation. Definitely the best you can find around here. read more

Josh came out to our house and fixed two light fixtures. He was on time, courteous and was fast at diagnosing and fixing the problems in under an hour. He then said he could answer any extra questions we had since we had paid for the hour- and gave us advice on changing the wiring on a ceiling fan. We were very impressed with the timeliness and professionalism of the service. I will be recommending to all my friends! read more

My husband and I just moved into our house and discovered the wizards who previously did the electrical work had put all of the kitchen, living room, and master bathroom appliances on the same circuit. Josh came out and installed a new circuit, as well as adjusted the lights two light switches were connected to. While checking out the wiring, he also found the previous wizards had a few wiring junctions that weren't enclosed in junction boxes; read: major fire hazard. Josh replaced the missing boxes and was generally fantastic! Thanks! read more

John and his crew are excellent. They installed our hottub and it was done beautifully and efficiently. They are very good at communication whether its via email or phone, highly recommended! Very easy to work with as well. read more

Took too long compared to work I had done that was more complex from other electricians in town. Overpriced by the end.

These guys are rock stars! The company managed to work in our small project between other bigger jobs, within only a day or two from my first phone call. John and Jason were excellent at troubleshooting, were incredibly efficient, and made sure I understood both the problems they identified and their choices as to how best to fix them. Excellent work, guys! read more

John responded quickly when we found we didn't have power in part of our beach house, found the problem right away and charged us less than we expected. We'll definitely use them again. read more

I had the privilege of working close enough to John and Jason's office to hear the work going on. I could not believe the passion this company has for efficiency and customer service. The impression they made on me lingered in the back of my mind. When an expensive piece of equipment I use began having issues with the electrical cord, I new who to call. Before I got the opportunity, I saw Jason at a local hardware store and asked if he would take a look. Without hesitation he took the tool to his van where he fixed it right then and there. I'm extremely grateful for his expertise and customer service. I will use Jason and John for all my electrical needs. read more
