Diamond flooring came in to refinish my floors after i fired my (terrible but unrelated) contractor. After they sanded the floors down they realized the flooring that the contractor had previously tied in was red oak while the rest of my original floors were white oak. The guys at Diamond flooring quickly gave me a quote to replace the red oak with white oak. They were able to complete the floor replacement within a day which was important since i had had all of my furniture moved and was staying in a hotel. While it did require a few extra days in the hotel i was grateful they brought it to my attention and were able to handle it quickly. Our initial contractor fell through last minute for replacing the flooring in the entire house we had just purchased. Andy provided a quote promptly and was able to start the job within about 2 weeks. The quote seemed reasonable for the amount of work though we did not get many quotes given our short time frame. The entire project took about a week and they did a fantastic job. The one thing I wish I had known was to take out and safely store all of our smoke detectors as they were removed but still got contaminated with wood dust and I had to replace them. Overprice, cheap, horrible, unresponsive, unprofessional company that are crooks! If I can give it a negative star I would. I don't know where to begin with the story. The two guys name are Tuan and Thang. They have two addresses one is in Dorchester on Leroy st and one on edgewood cir Quincy. First off this company are crooks. Please make sure you do your research before giving your business to these people. They give you a price and quality is horrible! Im sad to say they're not professionals. They give you bulls receipts and to top it off they charge a lot of unnecessary things that's suppose to be in your house. Tell my why this company charge you for their equipment that they suppose to have but charges their customer for it? For example, screwdrivers, flatheads, ladder, levels, saw blades, many more to it. Their workers also charges coffee, sodas, neck gators, iPhone chargers, windshield defroster for cars, brooms dust pan, markers and a lot of others unnecessary items. Receipts does match up please Becareful and aware of misc charges in the receipts that does not add up. Quality is the saddest I've ever seen. Because TONY tell his workers it's a "rental property" it means do it fast, cheap and crappy. All the stuff that was added in the house was all cheap quality Work. Things after everything was installed in it's already falling apart. Stuff that was added into the house is not up to code. Not to mention they use old refurbished materials for my brother house. They buy certain materials in packages and don't install all and only half of the products. They charged you for 10 doors when you ask for only 5 doors. 4 windows turn into 5. 7 doorknobs when there's only doors. What's sad is they charge all these doors when they used old doors on my brother property. Can I say the front door was a regular room door until I had to say it's Not up to code that's when they when and added a deadbolt. Oh, the light fixture is crooked and they plastered the light into the ceiling. All the work unprofessional. The whole point of hiring a professional is to make an old house look new but this looks like . They can't paint for their life. I will be posting pictures. I will Reporting to the better business bureau. I hope from reading and looking at pictures everyone can be aware of this crappy company and not waste your money on crappy work. I've have never seen anyone house look as bad as this. This company was Tony flooring and now CHanged to Tan flooring. They have two address to the business one is in Dorchester and one in Quincy! Diamond Flooring was one of several installers that I called. When Andy showed up for the appraisal he was all business. He showed me the best way to get the project done. I was impressed that he was the only installer to laser measure all of the flooring and his estimate right on target. My only concern was how he planned the installation in such a short timeframe. I hired Diamond to refinish 1200+ sq ft of hardwood floors. The owner told me he used a dustless system which was not true. Even though they sealed off open areas there was dust EVERYWHERE in the house. I had to hire Merry Maids to come clean the entire house when they were done. Also, they did a poor job of vacumming after each coat of poly as there are alot of spots where wood shavings are under the final coat and visible when looked for. His price is lower than other companies, but you get what you pay for. read more
