Ken was able to get a couple guys to my house within 2 days. We were walking on the areas within 48 hours. That included the repair, stain and polyurethane process. In addition to the excellent service, Ken was a great communicator....including some good humor. I will NOT have any floor work done by anyone else as long I am in his company service area.

In the beginning, I was not told this would be a two day job. They were late on both days of this job. The time was underestimated each day for the job. They parked illegally in a driveway, blocking two cars access to leave. They left the floors dirty and did not clean up. I wish I would have known that I could have to clean up after them, so I could have planned this additional work. They left the heater at 76 degrees for two days WITHOUT asking me. I had to rush an hour's drive just to turn off the heat. The gas bill will be very high. I was not told that my electricity would be used for this service of floor repair. I was not told that the heater would run for two days. I debated to put 3 stars for the good looking floor, but the cons outnumber the pros.

Tao stood out for how knowledgeable he was. First, he was clearly knowledgeable. Based on photos alone, he corrected me that the wood was not mahogany (as our home inspector said) but instead Brazilian cherry. I verified that he was correct with the listing agent. No other company did this. Second, he had the lowest quoted price for the job. Third, after I selected him, he was transparent about tradeoffs rather than purely trying to upsell me. For example, he quoted me on installing wood registers everywhere when I asked, but recommended I do so only in the hallways. This advice saved me $1k and delivered a result in very happy with. Finally, Tao was easily the most response person I interacted with. It was a pleasure to work with Tao, and I'm very happy with the outcome.

They arrived on time, were always polite, answered all of our questions, made sure our sleeping area in the bedroom was protected from all the construction dust, cleaned up each evening before they left. Arik told us the job would take 2 to 2.5 weeks and it took exactly 2! The only thing left is the glass doors for the shower. Arik brings in the glass guy Rene who measures, discusses what we want, and then orders it for us. When the glass doors are ready to be installed, Arik will come back with Rene to oversee the installation. Arik's price was quite reasonable for the job, and he stuck with it!! There weren't any real unexpected challenges, but he did a few things extra to make sure the job was done right and did not charge any more than his original quote. We highly recommend Arik for any contracting work that you need, and we will definitely be using him again if and when we have another project. I am attaching "before" and "after" pictures.

He was incredibly fast at responding, delivered on every ask, helped to guide us through new decisions, and the results are impeccable. They totally transformed our house. I would highly recommend using Diamond Flooring to install wood flooring. The installers were polite, professional and very helpful. The workmanship was superb and the price was fair. The owner, Andy, answered at least 20 emails immediately when I was trying to find flooring to coordinate with the wood flooring previously installed. He answered the questions even before I gave him the job. He worked with my tight schedule, finishing on time. When a minor problem occurred, he came out on the weekend to fix it. We needed this space done to make room for our growing family and he even brought a very nice gift when our daughter was born! He worked with our existing subfloor which squeaked with every step and was not level. They secured the subfloor and then leveled in sections to take the curse out of the floor. It is absolutely rock solid now, no squeaks, no visible dips or waves. Marty brought and left us with four flooring samples to choose from. After we picked, he installed then stained several sample spots in three different stains and gave us time to pick our favorite. This gave us a lot of freedom and confidence to make the right decision. The team that does the work is very detail oriented, dedicated to their craft and take a lot of pride in their work. They also use the highest quality materials as well (flooring paper, hardwood, stair treads, and poly). They know how to do the job right so it will last and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. They also did some repair work which came out very nice. The job site was perfectly clean when they left. They left me one neat trash bag to dispose of. The only issue I had was that my cat was able to get through the plastic barrier one night but it caused no issues. The floors look fantastic. From the first call placed to the final result, I can not recommend RKM enough!! We mostly worked…read morewith Rob, who provided oversight to all flooring and tile projects, as well as working with our general contractor, who at the time had several different contractors working at the same time. Rob and his team were very flexible and thorough. Rob had my husband and I come to his showroom where we were offered a surprisingly large selection of flooring and tiling options, and worked with us to help us create a custom look that we wanted for our home. **side note: we finished construction on our addition/modification to existing home in early 2019, so we have had ample time to "break in" the floor and tile from every day use. I must say that the work done was very high quality, as we have not one negative thing to say about it! Everything is in wonderful shape, and we are still just as happy as we were when it was first installed!** TILE WORK: amazing. Rob and his tile installers were great--I told Rob that I wanted two niches in the shower, and he made it happen--no questions asked. There was an issue we had (on our end) with the studs in that shower wall, and he worked with the GC to create a solution where we were able to have our niches without having to compromise. The two tilers were friendly, fast and very efficient. You can tell they've been doing it for years. They did a wonderful job on our floor and shower, and we couldn't be happier. My in-laws had the same process as we had with Rob, and are very happy with their choices and work as well! LVF: This was one of the last projects we had RKM do, my husband wanted a flooring for his basement "man cave" so Rob guided us to luxury vinyl flooring. He knew what look we had in mind and matched us with a LVF which was not only cost friendly, but was exactly what we wanted for the space. His LVF installation guys were in and out in one morning--I couldn't believe how fast it was! It's been a year since the installation, and the floor is still perfect. WOOD FLOORING: My in-laws had to pick out flooring for their 2 story addition, and Rob was very helpful throughout. My MIL had a specific wider-planked style in mind (which had to be special ordered), and Rob did a great job searching and working with her to find the perfect finish. The floors are so beautiful in person! He even helped her find wooden flooring vents which perfectly matched the hardwoods! KITCHEN BACKSPLASH: My MIL wanted these oversized aqua tiles and ended up purchasing them on her own; and RKM's tilers installed. They did a wonderful job! We had standard white subway tile with dark gray grout installed in our kitchen. They did a wonderful job with that too!! REFINISHING HARDWOODS: we had RKM come in to refinish our dated orange-ish oak floors to a more neutral brown tone in our family room. We scheduled it to be done while we were away for vacation, but they were done in (I believe) 3 days from start to finish. The flooring looks great, and we removed the baseboards beforehand to make it easier for them. We have tilework on the floor around the fireplace, and working with stain I was a little nervous about how clean the edges around it would be--but it was perfect! No bleeding, no splashes, no inconsistency in the color--I will definitely be calling again when we decide to refinish the rest of the downstairs! All in all, I would happily give RKM's team of Rob and his installers the highest possible rating. They are all high quality, experienced workers, who know exactly what they are doing, and are super efficient. I cannot day enough good things about them. They refinished my current hardwood floors in 3 rooms, and the stairs while installing and finishing hardwoods in a fourth room. In addition, they laid tile in my foyer and mudroom/laundry/bath area - which all came out beautiful. They were very patient with me as I chose the finish for my floors (and provided samples for me to bring to the house to look at) and were helpful in sharing their opinions and sent photos from other jobs they had done. I felt as though Rob partnered with me every step of the way. I would 100% use RKM again and 100% recommend them to anyone for their flooring/tile needs.

Make sure you check out Eagle Hardwood Flooring, which did an OUTSTANDING job repairing our floor and installing a new floor. They also installed new baseboards, patched drywall, and painted the drywall and baseboards. Their crew, led by Vinny, arrived on-time, and were always prompt, polite and professional. Their rates were very reasonable, and Vinny went out of his way to ensure we were completely satisfied with their work. Compare the before and after photos and check out their work. Even though I'm an hour away from their Boston location, they were more than willing to accommodate the drive, and completed the job on-time and within budget. I'm providing a five-star recommendation for anyone considering a floor repair or new floor.

It truly gives me great pleasure to write a great review for Carl and his company, Hudson Carpets…read morefor the excellent job they did replacing our carpets. My wife and I are busy physicians at local hospitals with an 8-month old baby, so as you can imagine, we needed truly a personalized service. I was a little nervous at first as there's not much information online about the company, but am so happy with the results! ESTIMATE: I first contacted Carl via email, and sent him an architectural rendering of our home, as well as thoughts on the type of carpet we were looking for. Immediately that day, he was able to send back by email an estimate as well as a link to a carpet company's website for us to further learn about the products. We scheduled a home visit later that week (he was extremely accommodating, coming at 8pm after I got home from work) with a set of carpet samples. He precisely measured all of the rooms that needed carpeting as my baby was playing with the carpet samples, and refined the estimated price. My wife was still at work, and so I took an iPhone picture of the samples and told him that I'd get back to him with the color, however was happy with the product. Of course, when my wife came home, the iPhone picture didn't suffice, and wanted to feel and go through the carpet samples herself. SO Carl drove back to our home and dropped off the carpet samples for a couple of days so that we could take our time in making a decision. I was impressed at how there was no sales pressure whatsoever, and was completely understanding. We were finally able to make a decision on the color and product. PRICE: He's definitely not the highest priced company, and my only advice, needless to say, is to do a little homework. After doing a little bit of research, I can tell you that he is totally reasonable. QUALITY OF INSTALLATION: Carl sold us an excellent product, but can also tell you that the quality of the installation is awesome. There were some pitfalls that he warned us about ahead of time (the newer carpet is more plush and prone to crushing, the new carpet is higher, and so will create step-offs at transition points) but there absolutely were no surprises. INSTALLERS: Since my wife and I were both at work, and we basically blindly entrusted our home and valuables to Teo (the installer) and his crew. I can tell you that they were incredibly professional in their work, and incredibly respectful of our stuff. Obviously they can't place things back 100% where they came from, nor did we expect them to, but they were pretty close! On top of that, I asked them to move our television set away from the baby's play area as she's getting more mobile, and without even hesitation, when I came home that evening, I was incredibly impressed even that was done! When they left, they turned off all of the lights, locked the doors, left the key on the kitchen table for us. OVERALL: My wife and I value honesty in a person and company over anything else. We think we're pretty good judges of character, and can say that we were truly impressed by Carl and his company. His responsiveness to email, the respect of our home, quality of the product, and quality of the installation were excellent. He truly went above and beyond, has great character, and we will not hesitate to use him for all of our subsequent flooring needs!! A+
