I was told my appointment was his first stop on the scheduled day but he never showed up. I called after he was more than an hour late. The woman that answered the phone said she'd call the electrician and get back to me. Twenty minutes later she called and said "he dropped the ball". Yes, he certainly did. It sure makes you wonder about the legitimacy of all of the 5-star reviews he has (mostly from Yelpers with only a few reviews).

The downside to that was no one was there to answer our questions. We made another trip when we were ready to buy and when we signed in we were helped by Anne. What we saw on our first trip and decided on was all sold à la carte so to speak. Anne told us how all of it worked and what we needed to do what we wanted. I don't understand all the bad reviews saying they aren't sold all the parts they need. Everything we said we wanted we were told exactly what we need to make it work. So everything being sold seperate,it all came in seperate shipments. The first was the valve body for the shower, very heavy, very beefy. High end stuff here. Had a small issue with one part and left Anne a vm after hours. Within ten minutes I got an email saying a new piece was on the way. For the price of this setup I'd almost like to find something to complain about, but right now I just can't. They did not have on display what we needed to replace our current oven. The salesperson was helpful and pulled up online an oven that would have probably worked--to the tune of over $2300. Next was to have their person come to our house to pre-measure. They wanted me to pay the entire amount before the pre-measure was scheduled--which I refused since I wasn't going to pay for something if it wouldn't fit properly. Also, the oven I wanted was out-of-stock with Whirlpool and nobody had any idea of when one could expect delivery. If the measurements all worked out, I agreed to pay half upfront to get it ordered. Their associate showed up for the pre-measure on a Friday afternoon and after running some compilations, said he would have to get back with us that following Monday. We said that would be fine. That was the last I heard from anybody at Ferguson--neither from that guy or from the salesperson who originally emailed me a formal quote. Not even a courteous follow-up on the project. That's been over a week ago. I guess they don't need our business--I was wanting to buy local--but their customer service is terrible. I'm done with them and since I never heard back from them, went to NFM, spoke with the most knowledgeable salesman, found the perfect oven, and saved probably @ $800 in total. Delivery is already scheduled. The ratings on Yelp for this business were somewhat to be desired but I thought I'd give them the benefit of doubt. Now I know why and I'm adding my own one-star rating.

I purchased several light fixtures from them, only to later find the exact same lights at Home Depot for one-third of the price. On top of that, about ten of the fixtures were missing a small bolt/nut that holds the shade in place. This makes changing a bulb extremely difficult. Only one fixture included the correct part, which is how I even realized the rest were missing. I searched every hardware store in town for this tiny 15-cent nut--no one carries it. When I contacted Wilson, they told me to reach out to Maxim, the manufacturer. Maxim then told me to contact Wilson because they were responsible for making it right. In the end, I was told I'd have to pay $10 per light fixture for each tiny nut--something that should cost pennies and should have been included in the first place. This is unacceptable customer service. After paying hundreds of dollars for fixtures, the least they could do is provide the missing parts. You would think a lighting store would carry basic hardware for the products they sell. Instead, for what they want to charge me for a few tiny nuts, I could buy several brand-new lights. Within a few hours I received a call from Steve, whose call I initially missed when I was out in the yard. I called him back and left another message. He called me back within 10 minutes! Steve was so pleasant and easy to talk to. I don't normally feel so comfortable talking and asking questions to service men, but Steve was so nice and was a great listener to what I needed done. He discussed over the phone what he believed the issue was and explained the jargon so I could easily understand. He was able to come out next day to complete the repair on what turned out to be just the grounding outlet in my master bathroom. When he showed up he was punctual, friendly, and timely with the work he did. He was clean and respectful of my home (he brought booties to put on his shoes inside my house!) and his pricing was extremely reasonable for the work done. Thank you Steve for being more than a service man, but a good gentleman who takes pride and care in his work and customers!
