This place is amazing! Words cannot express how grateful I am for their help. I got my necklace repaired here and the price was super reasonable. The employees and service is beyond excellent. The nice young lady that works there helped me pick out a new chain (since my old one kept breaking). This new chain is more durable and is super stylish! She's very sweet and helpful. I just love this place! I got my wedding band here almost a year ago and I'm just so happy with it and stare at it every day. The workers here are so nice and really make you feel like welcomed and excited for you to find what you are looking for. And their prices are so reasonable. Now I love that I can stop by any time and get a free ring cleaning for both my rings! I'm able to sit back and relax, they always offer me snacks, water, or if I want to watch anything on their tv (so hospitable). And when my rings are done they look just like the first time I put them on! I clean them regularly at home but that doesn't compare to their cleaning that I like to do every so often. HORRIBLE!!!!!! NEVER COME HERE!!!!! I brought 5 pieces of jewelry to be repaired. 1 item they completely lost (14K gold necklace) and another they stole some of the links and made it shorter. When I first came in, I had two 10" anklets now I have an anklet and a 8" bracelet??!?! When I walked in I took off the first anklet they fixed to make sure the 2nd was the same length and the owner Joe started yelling at me that there is the necklace right there!!! It was the other anklet, he started screaming without even knowing what was going on. I am sooooo DISGUSTED!!! I have never dealt with such incompetence.... The gold rope necklace I had since high school (22 years!!!)...it has been repaired 50x over, now its lost. I'm so sad. Joe was very courteous and explained everything very well when I brought my ring in that lost a diamond and he also fixed my wife's ring and made it better than it was. My experience was pleasant enough but nothing particularly great that compel me to return. They are definitely priced lower than RB, on average about half the cost. Joe knows his stuff and is upfront about the 17% mark up on anything purchased through them. A couple of months ago, my original engagement ring (from a different jeweler in Santa Monica) was badly damaged and the diamond itself had chipped. Luckily, I had insurance and was able to submit a claim to have it replaced. My insurance company works directly with Brea Diamond Direct and so, I brought it in for an appraisal and to see about getting a replacement. From the moment I called to inquire about the process, I knew I was in good hands. I was able to work directly with Joe and Rameez throughout the entire process. Their professionalism, know-how and patience are beyond outstanding! Part of what made this such a great experience, was that I was able to work with them via email! Since we were redesigning a brand new ring, I sent in a few "inspiration" photos and even a, very poorly, drawn sketch of what I wanted. From those images, emails and a couple of in-store visits, they were able to create a CAD rendering and email it to me for approval. Joe and Rameez made the whole process so easy and enjoyable!! They even greeted me by name whenever I came into the store! Joe is so knowledgeable about how the claim process works and was so patient with all of my questions and really took the time to explain everything and make sure I knew exactly where we were in the process at all times. Rameez was such a huge help to me during the design process as well and very reassuring that my new ring would be everything I wanted! Their customer service is EXCELLENT and the finished product is a dream come true!! From beginning to end, the entire process took about 5 weeks.
