As much money as DLS makes for all the tests that conduct, they are so CHEAP on providing a central desk or receptionist to answer simple questions. Instead they use their phlebotomist to return your call causing you to wait hours IF they should call you back. Each test they do cost you at least $75 and usually you have 8-15 test results. Before, when they were at pearlridge, I only went there a few times because they couldn't find my vein, but recently waipahu dls has changed their employees as other dls does and it's hard to find someone that can draw my blood in one poke without digging around, or going to the back of my hand. Finding out from going on here that they have moved to the former boh building, it's easy to walk across the parking lot from the 2nd floor of lower level pearlridge. After reading the reviews of trusty yelpers how great they are now, I decided to give them a try. They have bathrooms outside of their office in the very back of the hallway, and I picked a number outside the office door. They will let only about 5 or 6 people inside the waiting room and the chairs are adequately socially distanced apart. They are very busy, but quick, and the person I got was professional, friendly and got my small deep rolling vein in one try without too much searching of my vein. They now have a good team of experienced lab assistants, so I will be going there more often, and of course I noted her name just in case I need to ask for her when I go there again. read more

I went here to do my lab work today. My Cardiologist wanted me to take a blood test before my next appointment. The staff here were helpful and friendly. I didn't have to wait long. They took me in right away. As for my veins they had something else in mind. Finally I see blood and good thing only needed to fill two vails. We needed to get baby's Bilirubin done so we came here since it's more convenient and I usually come here when there's blood work related. Today, we took our infant child to get this test done, she's 4 days old. Right when they called our #, My partner and I went inside, a younger worker took us in, acted all like she knew what she was doing from the very beginning so I didn't worry, then came to do the work, prepping everything, poking my child's right heel to get blood flowing but poked it not deep enough and/or on the wrong side that blood wasn't even flowing enough, then she used a wrong vial that's when I knew WTF This girl doesn't know what she's doing, so I had to find someone else, and what made it worst was SHE DROPPED EVERYTHING including the vial that had little blood collected from my daughter on it to the ground, she was picking it up like she was gonna use it again. That's when I got pissed off and told her "You better not use that again cause EVERYTHING IS CONTAMINATED". I went ahead and found someone else who could do the job right; a senior that's more experienced and knowledgeable, thanked God, she did all right and was out there in no time. I forgot her name but she's a older Filipina lady, she's amazing. Thank you for saving us another trip, another accident and another crying times for my baby girl. My poor baby got poked twice because the first girl that did the job wasn't doing and doesn't exactly know what she was doing at all. PLEASE RE-TRAIN THAT WORKER OR ANY NEW WORKER'S THAT YOU GUYS HAVE OR RECENTLY HIRED. You can't work in a busy fast paced environment/facility and don't know what the fuck your doing but acting like you do. The second phlebotomist did awesome job poking on the left heel and practically got the right bilirubin vial right, got blood flowing as it should and did everything except for one part, she put on a wrong tape that could harm and hurt my babies skin so I had to apply lotion and water just to make sure my babies skin wouldn't rip due to the adhesive on the wrong tape she put on. My poor baby already went through too much poked today and cried so much and then comes the tape too. Not good! Please be mindful next time especially on the newborn babies. This is one of the quickest DLS locations on Oahu! Located in the Pearlridge Office Center or the medical building (former Bank of Hawaii) next to Big City Diner, second floor. Parking structure has lots of space on both floors and is wheelchair accesible. They also have nonslip mats everywhere in case it rains. Staff here are experienced and friendly. Tons of competent people who are efficient at their jobs, meaning your blood draw or urine test runs smoothly and doctor gets your results in a jiffy. If youre afraid of needles or dreading getting your routine tests done come here! Youll be in good hands. This is one of the handful of locations that doesnt give me bruises from a blood draw and they dont have trouble finding my small veins. Ive also been here for drug testing, which is no more than 10 minutes once I walk in the door. They also provide water to encourage your bladder. read more

I am really bummed to have to update my review to a lower rating, but this past experience was *horrible*. At around 9am on a Tuesday, I arrived at Diagnostic Lab for blood tests for my pregnancy. There was a long line going around the corner by the elevators, so I got in line immediately. I just so happened to be carrying my 12 month old as well. For 45 minutes. In line. The wait did not bother me as much since it's first come first serve... NOPE! Unbeknownst to me, you have to grab a number card as soon as you walk in. *NO ONE* was calling out numbers out the door. The only sign indicating a number pull was AT THE FRONT OF THE DOOR. I grabbed a number when I finally reached the front door so as not to lose my place in line and once it was my turn to enter, I explained to one of the workers what had happened. She refused to take my number and said I had to go to the back of the line again! ******WHAAAAAT?!?!****** Even the woman behind me tried to give me her number- and the people waiting in front of me that had seen how long I'd been there with a baby in arms were shocked!! It was so disheartening and humiliating and felt so discriminatory. She was so rude about it and the fact that they couldn't just check off THAT number knowing I had been there the entire time was just ludicrous. SHAME!! SHAME ON YOU GUYS AT DIAGNOSTIC LAB PALI MOMI. SHAME ON YOU. Treating someone like that. I didn't even bother taking to a manager. I just left and was given the BEST service at the Diagnostic Lab in the Mary Savio building. Opens at 6:30am till Noon. Confirmed. I was there waiting for it to open prior to 6:30am. Does not open at 5:00am. The staff at Diagnostic Laboratory Services (DLS) at the Pearlridge Bank of Hawaii building was very friendly, helpful, and essentially, knew their stuff! Upon arrival, I had no problem checking in. Check in was quick and fast. I was directed to sit in booth #1 to wait for my blood draw. While waiting, I was admiring the spacious area that they had, high ceilings and wide open walk ways. Of course, privacy was not a problem during the quick procedure. Unfortunately, their restroom was out of order, but not a problem! The bathroom outside was like only five steps away from their front door, next to the elevators. I really liked the fact that it was not crazy busy like other nearby DLS locations. Had a test done here 2 weeks ago. Haven't gotten my results. Have called 3 times and left a voicemail on one of the calls, haven't gotten a call back and the call just goes straight to their automated message. Coincidentally I dropped off a sample (same test) to a different DLS and never got a call back with my results so I had hopes this DLS location would be different but I guess not. FYI the hours posted on Yelp maybe incorrect. I have added a pic with the hours that were posted on the door. Being that it was a printed piece of paper in a plastic cover likely means it could change at any time. So like all other diagnostic labs, this one also had a great system to expedite the process. One guy pretty much does only check ins, one answers the phone and the rest are pretty much phlebotomist pulling blood like worker bees. I love that part. This location was also nice because it has lots of seating and such a wide open seating area that no one runs the risk of being overlooked. They also have lots of space outside their wide open door. And of course, if you come before the mall opens, there is more than enough parking spaces. So, that being said, the missing star is for this location's weird placement of the bathroom. Which is right next to the wide open seating area, aka pretty much in the middle of the check in area. If you have to do a urine test, it can be a little intimidating. And the drop off spot for the sample is, yup, you guessed it, outside of the bathroom, aka in the middle of the check in area. Lol. Akwaaaard. Other than that, nice people, quick service, lots of circulating air which is good during cold season cause ain't nobody wanna be breathing sick people air, and easy parking situation. I've been having all my blood tests done at the DLS in Pearlridge for a couple of years now and just wanted to give them a shout-out. The techs are friendly, professional, and skillful. I used to dread getting blood draws because too often techs couldn't find my vein so it would hurt or bruise. Haven't had this problem at this DLS. In fact, my primary care physician would rather I had my bloodwork done at another lab, but I refuse because I'd rather not have pokes and bruises. Thank you, DLS-Pearlridge! You rock! read more

It is on the second floor on the building next to big city diner. Somehow I thought it was on the first floor. I guess when looking at some of the photos of the exterior I was thrown off by the open air concept you would associate with the first floor. Ok it's weird to review a lab place but here we are. I haven't been to this location but I was pleasantly surprised to see this new location. I had to get some lab work done and chose this spot because I know the parking is convenient and it's easy for me to get to. They are on the second floor so you can park and walk right in. The waiting area is fairly large and they open super early...yay! They have a big area for the lab draws and the bathrooms are also large (large enough for a wheelchair or in my case a stroller). It is freezing though so I would bring a jacket! read more

If you're looking for Diagnostic Labs in Pearlridge, they closed down about 8 months ago upon writing this review, and have consolidated to the old Bank of Hawaii Building, nearest to Big City Diner. There is free parking in the 2-story parking garage, and are located on the 2nd floor. The open-air 2nd floor parking level of the garage, has connected bridge to the building; which can make it easy to park your car and walk straight to Diagnostic Laboratory. Upon entering their office, there is a blue numbered placard that you'll need to get, at the front desk, as you wait to be seen. When calling for your number, they will ask for you Diagnotsic paper work, ID, and your insurance card. There is a restroom within the office, if you need to give a pee sample or simply to use the restroom. Their staff is friendly and personal, and tries to ensure you feel comfortable before proceeding with any service. Came in at about 7am and was met with a long line of people waiting out the door. I was like dang I came too late! But I took off from work so I just decided to wait. I was 18 so I didn't think I was gonna be too long until they called number 38. I was oh no! They gonna go to 100 then go back to 1. Luckily it was only till 50 and after about 45minutes of waiting I was next. The girl that took my blood was quick and good and super professional. I wish I remembered her name to commend her but I can't. Overall it was way faster wait then I thought and they people working there looked very skilled in what they did. First time going to this location. Had a hard time finding where it was located. I got to the front desk where someone was assisting a patient that person walked away. I waited 3 minutes finally someone returned I had mentioned my orders from my doctor all she said did you get a number???? Of course I did not. Not to mention while I waited for the 3 minutes 4 more patients arrived. Now I had to go back out and get a number to be serviced. First timer at this location and love the fact that they open EARLY so I don't have to spend all day in the office for my 3 hour glucose test. I was assisted by a phlebotomist by the name of Tyrah and she was so sweet! Amazing customer service and she drew my blood with so pinch or pain whatsoever.
