I needed an alternate lab to run a couple tests, so I called ahead to see if I could get it done at…read morethis location. They checked their system and verified that I could. At their suggestion, my doctor faxed a prescription for a blood draw. I headed to Pali Momi long before the lab opened at 7:00, since I wanted to allow myself plenty of time to find it. Luckily, I found a clear sign to the hospital elevators right as I walked up the main driveway of Pali Momi. I pressed the button to the second floor and followed the hospital signs to the laboratory. Since I was the first one there at 6:30, I took a number and sat in the waiting room. At 6:55, one of the nurses called me to the front. Because I had never visited this lab before, they had to put everything into the system and verify all the information on the faxed prescription. Since I was paying out of pocket, I learned that all same-day draws are 50% off, even if you pay by credit card. Unfortunately for those poor nurses, their credit card "machine" is one of the old-school carbon copy versions that was probably constructed before I was born. They had to call in to verify my card information before we could finish the transaction. I really appreciated how patient and professional they were as they went through the mountain of paperwork my visit entailed as a new patient. Once all the paperwork was complete, I did my blood draw and was on my way. I hope the lab decides to get a credit card machine for the nurses someday, although I know this type of transaction probably isn't any everyday event.

Her doctor sent the paperwork electronically to Diagnostic Laboratory Services on the ground level of the Mary Savio Medical Plaza. There are two entrances to the lab - one from the parking lot and one from the lobby of the building. There were enough chairs for everyone waiting for their turn. We took a number and sat down. We even had time to use the convenient restroom! When aunty's number was called, her birthday and insurance were verified. She was asked when she last ate because the doctor ordered fasting labs... oh, oh... she had eaten breakfast. The lab called the doctor and got the okay to draw blood without fasting 12 hours. Yay! The technician got the blood samples in one try... excellent! We were on our way in no time! Thanks for the professionalism and efficiency!

Absolutely love this Clinical Labs location as I was just about to enter the Aiea Medial Center location just down the street but entering the parking lot is a challenge with lots of traffic and the parking itself really isn't my favorite. As I drove further up the street to choose another location here I see a huge building with Clinical Labs sign which is right across from Aiea Library and though if I could get my blood test done here. There are two parking entrance though one is closed for obvious traffic safety but signs will guide you down to the patient parking area which is perfectly just steps away from the front door and as I walked in...no one is there and with a huge waiting area there was a delightful staff there to greet me and she does it all. After being checked in and processed she escorted me to the area where the blood will be drawn and out of all the places I've been this has to be the best ever. So friendly and professional as well I think I found the place as time will allow me to have it done here. Parking is free and plentiful and as everything would be processed in the same building as well is nice and would encourage anyone to come visit this place as they have various ways if anyone needs to lay down as well very nice, clean and convenient. Finally thee last step of this H-pylori Adventure, taking 2 big breathes and shooting it into 2 blow up pouch like bag, and one shot of thee strongest Lemon shot ever, while not talking for 15 mins afterwards.. in and out that's my goal, it was quick and easy, thank you employees of Clinical Lab Of Hawai'i for making it quick and painless. The technician told me to go into the next room. I apologized and tried to make a small joke. She did not acknowledge me and went to drawing my blood. She bandaged me and said I could go. She didn't even ask me to check the labels so I left. I just got a call from the lab saying that the testing wasn't completed and I would have to do it over. I guess that woman got me back for sure. I wish I knew what her name was. She might have been having a bad day and I don't know what else was going on in her life but I didn't deserve that treatment. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. Overall, impressed with my first visit to PMMC, with the exception of their pickup and drop off area. 2026 #60

He was responsive and very caring. My son felt safe with him. The night nurse, Cliff, was also very good too! Case managers, Beth and Tainika, kept our family up-to-date with our son's status. My son still has a slight yellow tinge to his skin, but he is stable and getting stronger thanks to the great care provided by the wonderful Pali Momi staff of doctors and nurses! Mahalo!
