Walked into the facility, and maybe 5-8 minutes later was called in for my appointment. I expected a surly employee because the reviews were not favorable here, but she greeted me pleasantly, asked me to sit, explained the process, drew the blood, and told me we were done. Quick, easy, and the "customer service" was pretty great! Thank you...

Scheduled an appointment with Matthew Bassetts office 6 months ago arrived at my scheduled time…read moreonly to find out that the lab didn't open till 7:30, I arrived at 7:00. I had no choice but to wait since I needed my labs done before my doctor visit the following business day and they said the lab closes at 11:30 on Fridays. I know if I got out of work on a Friday at 11:30 I would be in a great mood! Not these ladies! When they finally arrived and called the first patient back it wasn't me and I said to the front desk lady, I was here before him, she quickly said "NO YOU WEREN'T" he dropped me off and was waiting in his car. So apparently that was her husband/boyfriend? When I finally was called back the lady calling my name glared at me with a look that if looks could kill I would've been dead. I then proceeded into the lab draw room where she asked me for my insurance card. She begins typing and I see her typing, deleting, typing, deleting, I wasn't sure what she was doing so I said are you deleting my other insurance? (I have to insurances) She then proceeded to ask me about the other insurances, rather rudely I might add, to which I answered her questions. She finally asked me if I had to other insurance card and I said I honestly don't have time, at this point I was there 45 minutes and was already going to be late since she hadn't even begun drawing my blood. When I said I didn't have time, the other lady who was on her phone, looked up at me with a nasty look and I said is something wrong and she said "What? I can't look around the room?" At this point I was so stressed and feeling anxious that I began to cry. The lady who was typing my info handed me a box of tissue, I said Thank You, she said nothing. When she drew my blood, she was not gentle, I still have bruising three days later, she pressed down hard and I could feel the needle was not sitting in the vein correctly. (I used to be a phlebotomist). I costs NOTHING, to be nice to people and these two ladies were NOT NICE at all. Was I frustrated after having scheduled this appointment, YES! But I'm the patient and should be treated with so common decency and some compassion, you never know what someone is going through.

I really like the service, I like to get labs that I want, not the ones the doctor thinks. Although…read moreit is kind of affordable it's much cheaper to find a doctor that will do whatever you want, and I am in the process of doing this. It's really hard to find a doctor that will agree to checking you out thoroughly. Most doctors just do the easy simple test then they say it's either anxiety, depression, or migraines. LOL I said to my doctor is losing your eyesight permanently part of a migraine, (this was a neurologist) I was having some macular issues, and she said yes. They just want to diagnose the easiest thing possible and then get rid of you. Anyway I figured out it was from severe dehydration from my IBS. So I went to gastroenterologist and basically they fixed everything. Thanks to the labs.

BEWARE of Walk-in Lab or Walk-In-Lab located on the internet at walkinlab.com with the phone number…read moreof 800 539 6119. This company uses different mailing addresses In LA (Louisiana), including a home address located at 159 W Augusta Lane, Slidell, LA 70458...or P.O.Box 1226, Mandeville, LA, 70470. The owner is Nannette at nannette@walkinlab.com and she is very unfair and not willing to do the right thing. I purchased over $900 in testing from Walk-In Lab over the internet. I went into a local lab and took most of my tests, no problem. However, one of the tests that I purchased from Walk-in Lab for $138 required that a test kit be mailed to me so that I could collect my samples at home and mail them back to a different Lab, Genova Labs. The problem that I encountered was that Walk-In Lab mailed a damaged kit to me; thus, I had to waste time to call in (several attempts) and get another kit mailed to me. Meanwhile, I had an appointment with a medical specialist who was expecting me to bring in these particular results...so I was on a deadline. But that didn't seem to matter to Walk-In Lab. As it turns out, after many calls and emails to Walk-In Lab, they never mailed the 2nd un-damaged kit to me. Thus, I never got the kit and it was too late to re-order another kit because I had already seen the expensive specialist WITHOUT the needed Walk-In Lab results. I called and emailed the owner Nannette to give a refund to me or, at the very least, a credit. Nannette didn't call me back until my 5th call (2 months later). She was short with me and said that she would definitely not give me a refund or even a credit...even though she acknowledged that I was sent a damaged kit and subsequently, I never got to take the lab test. Nannette is a horrible small business owner and does not have a good business ethic. This small company is just a 2-employee show...that I believe is being run from a home in Louisiana. I didn't give them a 1-star review ONLY because it seemed as if the (only) other employee Jean was trying to be helpful, but that didn't matter because the owner Nannette was just horrible.
