I heard that DIS had an open MRI, so I was willing to give them a chance. When I got there, I arrived a little early and they went ahead and got started. The whole time they were all about making me feel comfortable. They gave me headphones and let me pick the music. The technician constantly asked if I was okay and would let know what was about to happen and what to expect. He constantly reassured me the whole time. My husband was allowed in the room with me as well. My mom had previously gone here for a different MRI and said she would recommend it to everyone. They quickly gave me a disc with my images on it and sent reports to my doctor for follow up.

Kudos for the facility for having late appointments for those like me that cannot easily leave work early. My appointment was for 7 PM, but I found out that they have appointments until 9 PM. This center features 4 MRI's, and complements the 2 additional MRI's in the main campus. Also, they are looking to get 2 more MRI's for a total of 8. The lobby was very clean upon my arrival and the receptionist was polite. Not super personable, but polite. When my name was called, I was greeted by Lauren, who showed me where to secure my metal personal effects and showed me where to wait until I was called in to the procedure room. Lauren was very polite and personable. After only a 2-3 minute wait, my MRI technician, Mark, called me into the procedure room. Mark was very polite and provided a very thorough explanation of the MRI process and what to expect. He was the consummate professional, hooked me up with my choice of Pandora music and before I knew it, 25 minutes had passed and the procedure was over. This is an excellent facility.

Your tests are always at the directlabs.com portal, whether you change medical insurances, have no medical insurance for a period of time, or any other reason. Too many times, a doctor has you come in just to write test orders, then reschedules you for another visit just to "read" your results, what a joke! There's nothing to understanding test results, there are high and low ranges with each result, and you can get further information on the internet, like webmd.com Directlabs currently uses Quest Diagnostics, a major lab testing facility, just like anyone else. They have a staff doctor which reviews results, and if necessary, will attach a warning-type message to your portal. I would rather pay out of pocket online for routine lab tests, and send the results to my doctor, me being in control of the tests ordered, as well as the results. If my doctor loses the results, I can go to the directlabs portal, print another one, and resend it. Directlabs unlocks the black box of lab testing, and removes the veil of mystery that some doctors wrap lab tests in to the patient. A+++ Directlabs
