It's been years since I bought orthotics, so I was pleasantly surprised that the technology for creating the casts of my feet has progressed from creating wet plaster casts to pushing a block of foam upwards on the bottom of my feet - much quicker and less messy. The business showed good flexibility by mailing my orthotics to me rather than requiringe to return for a fitting (I live an hour away). The only sour note in the experience was when I called to find out why my orthotics hadn't arrived after 10 days after casting, which was what I remembered the delivery date to be. The office staff claimed that I hadn't paid for my items at the time of the visit and asked me to pay. I pushed back, insisting I had, and the person I talked with found my payment after checking with a second method. This was a small hiccup in an overall smooth and pleasant process. read more

I had this review typed up and ready to go, because after the 5th time of trying over a course of 2 months, I knew how the phone call was going to go, the. The most unprofessional, incompetent, medical office. I will keep it short, every phone call was a step backwards. The reviews are consistent, they will spin you around and waste a whole lot of time. There are plenty of other offices in the area that have much better care and competence, without the attitude. And that is where we'll go. Not sure how they are still around. The most unprofessional and inept front desk I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My doctor wrote a prescription for insoles. I always get my insoles somewhere else so this was the first time I had to deal with these guys. Called to make an appointment but was told my doctor had to call them. Never had this before as I am on a PPO plan, but called my doctor and she sent over the notes and called them. Didn't hear a peep for 3 weeks so called them and the front desk, the same person, told me that the doctor hadn't called. I called the doctor and she was perplexed but called them again. Finally was able to set up the appointment a month later. An hour before the appointment she calls and tells me the insurance doesn't cover it because my Blue Cross insurance is out of state. I am working for a global company where my insurance is accepted all over the world. I have had insoles made for me for the last 20 years and my insurance has always paid for it. Called my BC/BS and they confirmed that I am covered. Don't know what else to call these guys other than inept? Going somewhere else so the insurance can pay the $$ to a more deserving business read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The front office staff is beyond inept. Despite everything being in order and having the best insurance - Cigna who assure us my husbands prosthetic shoe is fully covered the staff continues to insist we aren't covered or we need some new authorization. My husband has not driven for almost 10 months now and much of the delay is due to ineptness of this firms staff. It's criminal. They are in the business of helping people when they are the most absolutely in need of a normal life. They have zero regard for their patients. I feel badly because the actual doctors are good but when told of their staff's incompetence they make excuses. Go anywhere else but here if you are in need of a prosthesis. read more

Wife says sprained ankle 4 weeks ago. After a couple of days went to specialist who referred her here due to stretch tendons. Still has not received support device and office always had an excuse ( computers down, oh, you are a Medicare pop - need more information, etc). Not happy!!! read more

The staff at the front desk is very helpful and always ready to address any questions I have. I really appreciate Richard for his hard work. First warning sign is "No Refunds" at the check-in desk. Confirms their sentiment that once they get your money, they're done. Paid out of pocket over $1,000 for a knee brace. Had custom mold made of knee and a unit was fabricated. On initial test wear in the office, took 3 steps and unit shifted/dropped. Matthew Chen adjusted unit and still shifted/dropped. He said to take home and work with it, but need to pay in full first. Took home, tried different strap settings/order of tightening and could not keep it in place. Went back and Mr. Chen sent unit out to get modified. A week later it came back and still did not hold place during initial in office test. Mr. Chen took it to their back room and had their tech make a couple further adjustments. Tried again, did not stay in place. Took home to try further and still did not stay. Went back to ask for a partial refund ($600-$700) knowing the custom/one-off nature of these devices. He checked with his boss and they offer no refunds of any kind. We can buy another unit or they can tweak further. They had 3 tries to make it right and never could, why should a 4th or 5th try be better. Their boss also feels that these custom devices are like a pharmacist filling a prescription. If the drugs don't work you can't return them... How ludicrous! We do not get a prescription filled for a one-off medication, custom made for you. Sorry we did not heed the other telling reviews and the "No Refunds" sign. Very disappointed in my orthopedics I paid $400 for them they're white I have to wear them in tennis shoes and I asked him if I can get them in black so I can wear them inside my sandals and they said they'd have to charge me more my girlfriend went to an orthopedic and she came out With these beautiful black orthopedics look like they go naturally in your shoe you wouldn't know the difference And she can put them in her sandals mind stand out like a sore thumb very disappointed in the quality And wanting to charge me more to get them to look halfway decent read more

Went in for new orthotic inserts to their Pleasanton location. No problem, was seen, impressions taken and inserts ready a couple of weeks later. However, after a few days, the inserts were causing me a lot of ankle pain. I went back to my ortho and he said I should return to Diablo. I saw Kathleen in the San Ramon office and it was AWESOME! She took a lot of time to understand my problem and recommended new inserts as the ones that were recently made, while fine, just wouldn't work for my needs. The cool thing is that they covered the new inserts under their warranty. They stood behind their work and Kathleen really took the time to make sure I got inserts that worked for me. My first encounter with this office was 2 weeks ago. I met Cheryl who was the office staff. Very pleasant, knowledable. I then met Richard Sire who was not only personalable, but put me at ease with my circumstances. I'm an above knee amputee and was treated with respect, and kindness. Such a breath of fresh air. Beware folks, This is fraud business, Jessy who is owner or employee is worst person on this planet, Ruthless Person with no character.. My Parents use to get Diabetes Shoes from couple of years from Medicare, we just move to Bay area and as usual we went to local Prosthetics Orthotics store to get shoes, first appointment I had for my father and he did mentioned that I'm not going to sign any papers till I get approval from my doctors and They said it is ok, you don't have to sign it, for second appointment for my Mother she was dealing with Jessy and she did not allow without signing paper and they Jessy promised that we will not proceed with order till I get approval from doctor.. and Doctor did not approve as it my mother did not need this shoes and then Diablo Prosthetics Orthotics called us about rejection and we said pls do not procced with order, after we said no to Jessy, she still went ahead and procced with order and now they are sending us bill, I called Medicare and notify them about this issue, they said pls return the items and get it sign on paper, so I went and returned it on 9/12/16 and got it signed by front desk and now they are still sending me bill with threatening us to send it to collection agency.. So I called office and spoke to Jessy, OMG she is worst person, she said your mother signed it and you have to pay does not matter you have returned it or not and I don't care you said no when we call to proceed with order or not, she raised her volume and then I called again to tell her that I will write bad review about her on online so others aware of what kind of business you folks are running and then I get call from police department to tell me not to call Jessy, can you believe this, I explained everything in details to Police and he suggested to write bad review and go to Better business and complaint about their business practices. Folks There folks are desperate to make money in any forms, I'm just saying what we went through, There are other business are in market, please avoid them.. Not a fan of this run down office and inexperienced staff. I wasted 45 minutes at a first appointment even though I went in with a prescription detailing a need for custom shoes. They did not take impressions. They did not show me a catalog with style options. I was told that he needed to do some research, talk to the doctor and then he would get back to me. 3 days later I received a phone call stating that the shoes could be ordered but I would need to pay $900 in advance and once the shoes come in they would bill my 2 insurance carriers. When I started asking questions, like what style are you quoting for (since nothing had been decided) and what did the doctor say when he met with the man that met with me, the woman on the phone got frustrated and said that's all I can tell you, Have a nice day and hung up on me. On a second call I got that same woman, still couldn't get any answers and she hung up on me again, this time while I was in mid sentence. I ended up speaking to the man that fits for the shoes. He was at least civil, but basically said I have one style option (really??) for custom shoes, and they won't do the work without full payment in advance or at the time of fitting. It's all about the money and not even a tiny bit of concern for the patient, their physical condition, and let's not forget plain old customer service. First rule should be NEVER hang up on someone because you are frustrated when they ask questions. read more

My experience here has left me absolutely in shock. These people are so rude that they deserve no stars. Things may have been different a few years ago, but in 2016 prospective clients beware. You will be asked for a hefty amount of money up front, receptionist doesn't follow through so your appointments are cancelled or changed to a different practitioner repeatedly and without your prior knowledge. Phone calls are not returned (or ignored) and there's more, but if you're reading this, you get the picture. This is one the Better Business Bureau needs to hear about for sure. All customers deserve reasonable, respectful treatment. After paying $400, I am appalled by all of the excuses and the major brush off I received. If you need orthotics, save your money and insist that your doctor refer you to a place where the staff genuinely values their clients. read more
