You will not find master works for thousands of dollars here, but a good selection of oils, water colors, ceramics and other eclectic stuff to choose a great memory of Murphys and/or the Mother Lode scene. Probably the biggest sellers are the note cards, all custom made, and the jewelry. But if you want to painting for you wall at home, you can find that here too.

This event is a must attend celebration for locals and visitors alike. Main Street is closed to through traffic due to all of the food and craft stands up and down the street. Frozen cheesecake? Yes please! Patrons are decked out in various shades of green. Many have partaken in the age-old tradition of beer consumption. The crowd is definitely more of a beer drinking crowd, rather than the usual wine tasting peeps who frequent Murphys. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm just saying. Having grown up in the area, it is really fun seeing people I know and catching up (aka gossiping). Plus, it is a good excuse to do a little wine tasting. I mean, I'm near the tasting rooms after all. ;)

Outside surrounding the space you'll find picnic tables and other seating scattered about. The day I visited it was a bit chilly and they even had blankets placed around to help keep us warm. Such a nice touch that went a long way. I didn't spend much time inside except for when I went to the bathroom, but it was nice and cozy, too. This place is family owned and operated, and of course, everyone is extremely knowledgeable about their wine, where it comes from, and all that stuff. My friends and I got flights, so we could try a little bit of everything. Each new wine our waitress poured came with a back story and I loved it. All of the wine we tried was great and I can't remember exactly what they were, but my favorites were the white wines, I know that. While they don't have food, we were welcome to bring food from outside so we grabbed a few pizzas from down the street to munch on while we were there. I'm not from the area, but I do visit every so often and I can totally see myself returning whenever that day comes.

The seating was kind of crap, they are plastic fold out chairs that are literally ziptied together. Not plus size, (or any size really) friendly. Why the hell would you want to sit that close to anybody? There are far better amphitheatres, but if you want to see a certain band, you put up with a crappy venue!

Since neither my friend nor I have been here, we decided to come early. There was no traffic and parking was of ease. Even exiting the venue was with ease. I have read some of the other reviews, and possibly this was a much small crowd, but I thought this place was great. It's not too small and not too big. Best yet, free parking!!! It's nested in a cute little town that you should definitely stay overnight and explore. The food selection could be better (stay away from the teriyaki bowl) but, the place was perfect. I feel like you could have sat anywhere and you still get a great view of the stage. The sound system was great. We had a really good time.

The patio and grounds were transformed into a setting perfect for a French fete, complete with a faux guillotine for photo opps. The food was delicious. Authentic French cheeses, baguettes, escargot, pate, salads, meats and frittes. Yummy! And of course what French celebration would be complete without some delicious vino! Ooh la la! After everyone had devoured the delicious food, the entertainment began. Music and dancing put the top on an already lovely evening. All of the guests seemed to have a fabulous time thanks to the hospitality of our hosts Jonathon and Jeannine. Food, wine and good company. What more could you ask for? A la votre!

The quality is good here better than most Murphys wineries and we have tasted quite a few however you will pay a premium they are bit pricey as well. I was tempted to join the wine club but we belong to so many already and I didn't want to commit to quarterly pickups if they had a semi annual option I probably would have joined. We will be back!
