It was a relief that a spoon was automatically included with the silverware; most restaurants only provide a fork & knife. Papadum Basket: This complimentary appetizer was an excellent start to the meal. The sabudana papad is a bubble wafer with an appearance identical to styrofoam. The traditional papadum is a flat lentil base crisp that kind of reminds me of a flattened looseleaf. Although the shapes of these wafers have different appearance, their taste is superior. They both have a light, crispy texture. A side of spiced tomato chutney compliments the snack. Because the starter tasted this good, I easily predicted the main course was going to be a home run. Chicken Tikka Masala: Chicken is diced into square cubes and smothered in creamy tomato sauce. The sauce was hot & creamy and the chicken was tender. There was no up charge for the second helping. Do not confuse this plate with their "butter chicken" entrée. Although chicken tikka masala is also referred to as butter chicken, the two entrees on this restaurant are not identical. Butter chicken is served in slices and the sauce is different. I asked a server about the difference between the two plates; he told me he was a new hire and did not know the answer. I truly appreciated his honesty and was grateful he got another waiter to assist me instead of trying to answer it without the proper knowledge. Garlic Naan: The naan is the perfect side dish to order with the chicken. It is great for dipping into the sauce. It still tastes excellent on its own because of its soft texture. The up charge is the same whether you order original or garlic flavor. As a bonus, this Indian restaurant is BYOB.
