Okay, where to start...so Darya is absolutely wonderful and I can't say enough good things about her! I found this hair salon on yelp and gave it a try. I'M SO HAPPY I DID. I had dyed and bleached my hair many, many times over and thus, my hair was a hot mess. It was orange, brassy and splotchy. Darya made my oh so wrong hair RIGHT! She colored, highlighted and toned my hair to a beautiful ashy tone. Not only did she give me awesome highlights and color gloss, she stayed way, way past salon's closing time to make sure it was done and beautiful. We probably ran several hours past closing but she still took her time; she never once made me feel rushed! She genuinely cares for your hair and you! She's so willing to help, she's very experienced and knowledgeable about color and knows what works and what doesn't. She was patient with all my questions. I used the yelp deal $99 for $165. I was able to schedule an appointment same day, and they were ready to help me as soon as I arrived. It's a small and very accommodating salon. The manager, Darya was very accommodating and friendly, offering me water or tea. She and my stylist, Natalia, looked at the pictures I pulled off Pinterest and helped me figure out a plan of action. Natalia gave me some great layers and highlights. She was careful to pick a shade of blond that wouldn't clash with my red base. Also, I have straight stubborn hair that will not blow out. Natalia managed to give me a blow out that didn't fall out right away. At the end they gave me a free gift and Darya took some professional quality photos. Let me start by saying Darya is very kind and sweet. I also am sure her hair care services are great. But as for filler, please avoid going to her. In my opinion, Darya has no training as a cosmetic injector. She always asked for my direction as to where to inject more, instead of using her eye, which should be professionally trained. My lips were botched here. Totally lumpy and it was very noticeable. I had to have them completely dissolved and reinjected over the course of months. Thousands of dollars later my lips are much better. I admit I was looking to save a few hundred bucks by going to her but in the end, it cost me way more. Save yourself the headache. read more

I finally got around doing rejuvenation of the eye area. Daria did biorevitalizarion and Botox combo to treat crowfeet and little mimic wrinkles under the eyes. Also, a tiny amount to lift the eyebrow to create a more natural arch with Botox. Thus far I can instantly see results of biorevitalization as my mimic wrinkle got smoother and less visible. Botox takes a little time to start working so will need to update in few days, yet I already see some effect in the depth of my crowfeet. Another amazing thing we achieved is so-called 'mona lisa Smile' or as I call it - lip-corners rejuvenation. I see how with time the corners of my lips started facing downwards, and it makes me look a little tired (even if I am not!). It's a minor change, but it's there. Daria injected biorevitalizant around the corner of my lips and now my lower part of the face instantly looks 5-years younger over such subtle change. I love that Daria appreciates natural look. I look as I got back from a vacation and went back in time 5-years at the same time. I do not look as I went to see a doctor (as a lot of women nowadays). YAY! I found my hair salon in Boston! I started going here with a groupon that included a deep conditioning (with a UV light!), haircut, and blowout. All for 40$!! I was so impressed. Natalya did a stunning job on my haircut, which is amazing because I was really thick hair that is difficult to style correctly. They have a wonderful program that if you routinely come in for a cut every 7 weeks, they'll keep you at the 40$ price instead of the regular (60$ I think...?). No problem. I have short hair so 7 weeks is perfect. They have a whole slew of services, though I probably will just use the haircuts. They also have botox, manicures, and hair styling. A small, unassuming shop that houses the wonderful hairstylists. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I'm writing another review because after 2 years this business sent me an email thanking me for being such a loyal customer. I had such a bad experience that I left a very bad review and told the salon my grievances and they didn't even apologize. Now they're trying to incentive me to come back in? Yeah, I don't think so. Just to recap: I remember this experience vividly because, not only was it the worse hair cut of my life, it was the worst salon experience of my life. - The stylist left in the middle of my treatment with me under a hair dryer to have a cigarette and thus smelled heavily of cigarette smoke the rest of my treatment; which included a rinse after the dryer - I went home with split ends and no layers (which I had asked for) - They claim they specialize in curly hair but do not own a diffuser to dry your curly hair - She no longer had time to dry my hair straight and was forced to leave with wet hair Absolutely awful. read more

Balayage Color: Just got my hair cut and colored this morning and I absolutely love it! I went to Darya when I first moved to Boston last summer and could not be happier with my experience. I have very long, straight brown hair ( with annoying gray hairs) Today I got a root touch up and re-did the balayage color which I had Darya originally do for me about a year ago. She is very detailed and takes her time as she paints the color to make sure it looks perfect! I love how she managed to make my usually very bland brown hair have so many layers of color! I got a trim with some layers as well ! I highly recommend this salon especially if you are looking to get your hair colored. Darya is amazing! I have been seeing her for over a year for extensions and color and I am never ever disappointed! I started with keratin extensions and had 3 sets of these- they were stunning! I had a blow out at another salon and they couldn't tell that they were extensions until they washed my hair! Don't bother. You are going to spend your time and money. I got Keratin treatment ( Groupon ). Daryija or whatever her name is started the process. I was familiar with keratin process because I got it before, and I realized she wasn't putting enough product. I have curly and strong hair. Then Natalija ironed my hair. I'm from Europe, and English is my second language. I find it EXTREMELY rude when you have people talking a different language in front of you. That is so rude! Besides that, my hair was smoother for the first two washes. I'm ironing my hair every day like before. I just spent my time (it took 3 hrs) and money! This is a complete rip-off! I've never colored my hair, but when I saw a groupon for balayage for DH Estetica, I decided to take the plunge and try something new! To my extreme happiness, my first experience with color was amazing thanks to Natalya. She listened well and looked at some pictures I had brought of what I wanted (natural and not too light as my Asian hair is very dark), offered me some water, and immediately got to work. She was so focused and the "painting" she does is beautiful. You can tell she is an expert at blending and takes pride in her work. This review is long overdue as I've been seeing Darya ever since I moved to Boston from California last year. I am so glad I found Darya and this salon. Not only is she extremely skilled at what she does but she's also just a really nice person! I was worried about finding someone familiar with hair extensions (I currently have tape-ins) but you can tell Darya really knows her stuff. I had a Botox hair treatment a couple of months ago. I went to Darya with extremely damaged hair after bleaching it. After doing the hair Botox treatment my hair felt a lot healthier and smoother! My hair also still maintained beautiful and smooth waves/curls! From how great the results were, my mom also went to Darya for a Botox treatment and had the same results that I did. I got a partial highlight and blowout last week. As someone who gets their hair highlighted often (and for many years), it usually becomes all pretty much the same unless someone really messes up. This is the first time I've had several people comment on how great my hair looks. Simone is fantastic at her job. Her highlights were the best I've had. She is so much fun to be around! Great first time here. Recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. Making an appointment was easy. I came for balayage correction and blowout. My hair is difficult to work with in terms of coloring because I've colored it so many times with different shades, it's left remnants of those pigments. This was the first time I was fixing up my balayage from almost a year ago since the color was starting to come out and the bleached streaks were showing too much. Although I wanted to keep the ashy brown, Darya convinced me that a caramel color would do the trick instead of bleaching it again. I was surprisingly happy with the result. My color evened out with the toner treatment and she left areas of virgin hair undamaged. Also the Loreal treatment pack she recommended for at home use has been working wonders lately. read more

I found a Gilt City coupon at a very reasonable price for this salon, looked at the reviews and figured I'd give it a shot on a whim. Turned out to be the best color I've ever had. I opted for the balayage style and I'm obsessed with it. I've never been happier/received more compliments on my hair than now. Two ladies worked on my hair - they explained one was training which was fine with me, made the process faster. They were speaking in Russian which at first made me feel out of place but they kindly explained that it was easier for them to communicate. Once they said that, I was at ease. I received Juvederm injections in my lips from Darya- she is THE BEST! So sweet and professional and really relaxes you for what can potentially be an uncomfortable procedure. She made sure my lips were good and numb with a topical anesthetic before injecting me and was very gentle the whole time. Great keratin treatment! Makes doing my hair in morning so much easier. Now on my third visit.

I recently used a GILT coupon for the "deep conditioning, hair cut, and blowout" package (supposedly valued around $70-80, purchased at a discounted price of $40). Given the stellar reviews, I was excited to go in for a weekend appointment (had to book at least 2 weeks in advance). First, the main stylist (who seemed to have gotten raving reviews) was on vacation, and two women were manning the salon. One answered phone calls while the other cut my hair. My "stylist" washed my hair, slathered regular conditioner on my hair (when I asked what product it was, she replied "just conditioner"), and sat me down next to heating lamps. After a few minutes, she rinsed it out. I'm glad I didn't pay extra for this so-called "deep conditioning" treatment -- wow, what a sham. The least she could do was use real leave-in conditioner. Second, the haircut itself was really bad. I paid $40 and got a $15 cut by essentially a shampoo girl who had no business cutting people's hair. I asked for a layered cut for volume, but instead got blunt, choppy hair resembling a staircase. The blowout was literally just a blowout without an ounce of style, volume, or product added. At that point, I was ready to get out of there and save myself. I should've just gone to a real salon and pay the market price. Third, the shampoo girl who cut my hair made rude comments about customers as the other assistant lady answered calls. When a customer called wanting to come in ASAP, the shampoo girl muttered "yeah, yeah, they all do." At one point, the assistant complained that a customer on the phone wanted to use groupon. If you as a business frown upon and discriminate against groupon or other coupon users, DO NOT LIST YOUR BUSINESS ON GROUPON OR GILT. Customers aren't getting a $80 value for a discount; they are basically getting what they paid for, or in my case, even less. I can't speak for the main stylist--maybe she's fabulous, but her employees have completely ruined the salon's reputation and credibility. I've used GILT coupons for other salons in back bay, which were fabulous. I will never return to this place even for a free hair cut -- I now have to spend extra money to get a hair cut from a professional to fix this staircase situation. read more

I got a haircut and balayage. I'm not happy with either. The cut is not bad, but not at all what I asked for. It's about 2 inches shorter than the picture I brought in and I have bangs, which were not at all in the picture. I wanted a "lob," but got a typical soccer-mom layered bob. Some parts of the color look good. But the bleach was put on the back, under part of my hair first. That part is several shades lighter than other parts where the bleach was applied later. Further, on the really light parts, there is just a straight line of demarcation between my natural hair color and blonde. read more

Darya is awesome and sooo good at what she does! She gave me the perfect blonde and rose gold balayage and was so patient with my hair. It took a couple of tries for my dark brown color to lift, but my hair is still so strong and healthy thanks to Darya. The salon is in a great location in the South End and they offer a variety of services. I'll be going back to get my hair done and also will be trying out some of the other services, including Botox injections. read more

What a wonderful treat !!! The keratin treatment of my very dry, very curly and unruly hair gave an absolutely magnificent results. My hair feels soft, manageable and have nice, live shine to it, plus I have more define curls. I am also very excited it will last a while due to a two step process and high quality ingredients. the Olaplex pre keratin treatment was awesome too for my color treated hair. The mask for hair I have purchased is fantastic as well....my hair was really thirsty ! Love the fact that the product made in US. I booked a haircut and partial highlights with Simone. I guess for the Groupon price it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't come back. Simone was very rough in applying the highlights, tugging on my hair and splattering the peroxide on. She def missed spots and generally didn't make the highlights look natural at all. The cut was choppy - big drop off from the face framing layers to the rest of the hair. The whole experience felt rushed. The final product is tolerable but nothing to brag about. read more
