I called and asked for feedback about why this happened and did not hear back. -They came out to give me an estimate and assess the needed repairs - happy to move fwd, they sent me a contract - AFTER I signed the contract, they changed the availability timeframe that THEY gave me. - I asked for them to work with me on providing an earlier date. - I received an email that they have decided to not pursue our project and that it was not a good fit and they were withdrawing the contract. No reason, or details, just that it was not a "good fit" One of the main reasons I went with them was because I was told the project would not take long and could be done sooner and in a couple days. I asked for feedback as to why my contract / project was suddenly terminated. I was hoping they would compromise and offer me dates in between - no response, and no alternate dates given. To be clear, Oscar was very nice and friendly at his onsite assessment and answered a lot of good questions. This kind of response did not match his service focused demeanor. I was told my project was a small / quick one that would not take long, in comparison to their other large projects. The new date they offered would have us without a safe deck for almost 2 months, and a house full of guests in the middle of sum-mer. Surely this is not the first time this has happened with a customer when you verbally state your availability and then it changes ? I had hoped they would be able to come back and at least compromise & offer alternative dates, instead of throwing away the project all together. This made me feel that perhaps because my project was small and would not bring in a lot of $$ for them, it was easier to just dismiss me, and terminate any work. Please do better SkyDeck -- please try to work with your customers, offer options and talk things out, instead of just cutting them off. Maybe if I was a bigger / more expensive project, I would have been given this consideration.

Jeff Jones counseled us through the replacement process, and we agreed to go with a reputable roofing manufacturer--and even upgraded the materials. He also worked directly with our insurance company and represented us exceptionally well. All promises were fulfilled right down to the finest details. The job foreman, Rick Endruschat, was on site throughout, ensuring the work was done properly. Even our screens were replaced, and the patio roofing subcontractor they brought in was absolutely amazing. A special thank you to James Kuntz and the Company for being a member/sponsor of CAI that led us to choose Tarrytown Roofing to complete our job. We would highly recommend this five-star company. If you're looking for a roofing contractor who is professional, dependable, and stands by their word, don't hesitate to contact Tarrytown Roofing Company--you'll be glad you did.

I would not recommend Tarrytown Roofing based on my experience…read more My HOA hired Tarrytown Roofing to assess an active water intrusion issue at my home. Ironically, I was actually planning to leave this company a five-star review. My interactions with them were pleasant, and they came across as friendly and professional. That changed when I was forwarded their report. Along with it, I inadvertently received internal communication that I was clearly not intended to see. In that communication, the company president wrote, "You know homeowners, when it is their responsibility, the story takes on a life of its own." I was genuinely shocked to read that, especially coming from the president of the company. As a homeowner simply trying to determine why water was entering my home, it completely changed my perception of how my concerns were being viewed. Because I was already undergoing interior water mitigation, I hired my own contractor at my own expense to perform controlled water testing. The testing identified the source of the water intrusion and ruled out the window itself as the cause. The findings did not align with the assumptions reflected in the president's internal communication. Homeowners place a great deal of trust in companies based on their reputation and reviews. My experience reminded me that what customers see publicly may not always reflect the conversations taking place privately. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Professionalism is measured not only by how a company speaks to its customers, but also by how it speaks about them when it believes they are not listening.
