So, I am in sales and working with suppliers, SERVICE is as important, if not MORE important than…read morethe materials. This is especially true when there is an issue or delay. I am a customer of Silver Creek and have been for about 18 months now. It's a great place, and I've taken several folks there to buy direct. Mostly, I'll have a contractor pick up for me, or I'll buy some bags cause it's easy (Bulk is way cheaper if you need a lot!) ... They will even tell you that! They are big on doing the RIGHT thing for their customers. They take a long-term attitude to doing good business. So, today is the first time I've scheduled them for a delivery. Let's just say there was an account/paperwork 'SNAFU', and when I did not hear from them by ~12:30 I thought I better call, as they close @ 1:00. Glad I did. They had set up another account, and it had an error in the number and e-mail. Bummer. It was close to closing time.... They could have said "sorry about that, we'll call on Monday". But here's the deal. They didn't. Irma worked to recall a driver and Josh stepped up to manage the process. When I let them know that I had scheduled a crew to come out Sunday early to spread the dirt, they jumped into action. The made things happen fast. This is a testament to how they handle service and support. I was a bit disappointed at first, cause the contractor I am using wanted/needed the extra work. It's the holidays, and $$$ is tight for everyone. But they solved that ASAP. Silver Creek Materials for the Win! Also; many thanks to Senor' Sigala of Sigla's Trucking for a PRO DELIVERY! Thank you to the quick action of Josh, Irma, the driver & loader, and the entire Silver Creek Crew. They pulled this off ASAP! If you've never looked at everything they do, and what they sell, it's a treat. Well, to me anyway. It's a cool place to go visit if you care about your yard/lawn, landscaping, or if you are a gardener. Especially if you are a gardener! They are the place to go. I can tell you that with certainty. They are the biggest/best in DFW, and they have what I believe is the absolute best soil for gardening. Bella Flora. Pro Tip: If you visit them in person, when leaving, take the time to go into Fort Worth on Jacksboro Highway (199) into Fort Worth, take a right on University and a left on White Settlement. About 2 miles down on the right is Angelo's BBQ. Order a "Lean, sliced all the way with cheddar cheese' and enjoy some world class BBQ. Thank you to the team @ Silver Creek!

My older sister has been working with wood for a while now, and I just want to learn more about woodworking/ crafting. As I stood there listening to both of them talk about wood types, tools, and techniques (It sounded to me as if they were speaking in a foreign language, lol), you could tell that they had a love for woodworking! My sister has inspired me to learn about it, but Justin has made me want to learn even more. I found out they offer classes, which is awesome. The prices are very reasonable; the wood is very beautiful, and it smells so good in there like a hotel lobby. We will be returning for more wood soon! The Wood Shed has won me over!

Inspired by the idea of turning those trees into something meaningful, we decided to create a dining room table from the wood. Garrett Garner of Clean Slab Customs suggested we contact The Wood Shed for their expert services, particularly their large planer for flattening wood. After visiting The Wood Shed and speaking with Danny and the team about our project, my son Sean decided to take their basic epoxy class to gain some knowledge. Inspired by what he learned, we went all-in with their epoxy table build class. The results were stunning! The experience with The Wood Shed was nothing short of amazing. With their assistance, Sean created a massive 6 ft x 9 ft dining room table that now graces our home. Danny and the team were incredible to work with--knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about woodworking. They guided us through every step, from building the forms and flattening the slabs to applying the two-tone, layered epoxy and sanding and polishing. Using their workshop and benefiting from their expert guidance made all the difference in achieving a spectacular final product.

We picked out a counter but it took a week for them to get our check to clear the bank. After that, another week went by and no word about install date. When I called, you can't leave a message because they're voice mailbox is always full. If you try to contact them online, there's an error that won't let you do that either. I got ahold of someone on 1/12/26 and they said it was scheduled for 1/16/25 between 8-9am. I called back and asked if we could get it installed sooner because no one could be there that day. They said they would find out and call me back. I never heard back from them so I figured they would come out on the regular scheduled day. Around noon on 1/16/25 I called and asked when they were coming because I took the day off in order to be there. The installer texted me and said it was rescheduled for 1/19/26 because he was told 1/16/26 was cancelled by the customer. I told him I never cancelled anything. Someone was supposed to contact me but never did! The installer said he would see what he could do and he would call me back. He never did!! I never heard a word from anyone all weekend.
