    Rain King installed my sprinkler system so badly that after a few years underground pipes have…read moreburst. I had Stone Cross landscape investigate the problem. Apparently, Rain King used too much glue on the pipe, which made it brittle and burst. Furthermore, Rain King installers were so lazy they put my sprinkler valve box in the middle of my back yard. This looks like crap and the valve box is in the flow of natural rain water to run through, so the box gets filled easily on rainy days. Rain King refused to move the valve box after installation, because it would cost them too much money. Is this a really bad company and there should be a negative star rating for them.

I prepaid for the test because I was told there would be someone in the area that could add it to his list. Great. No call, no email, no confirmation it was actually done, just a notice the following week from Urbandale utilities stating that the back flow test was due soon. Assuming that the notice was sent a day or two before I had the test done, I called just to make sure it had actually been done. I was told they would look into it. I also noticed a sprinkler that leaked after it had turned off, so I asked to schedule a time for that to be looked at. I was told there would be someone available in the next few days, but they would call to confirm. Drumroll please...no call, no confirmation, no email. I called multiple times to ask if someone had been out, but they don't answer the phone very often. Started up the sprinklers and sure enough once that zone ended, the sprinkler continuously leaked quite a bit of water. At this point I'm a bit irritated, so I get a referral from my lawn care guy for a different sprinkler company. They schedule a time, come out, and take a look at the issue. The service tech explains that the sprinkler is at the lowest point and will drain any water left in the pipes. He examined the head just in case, but said everything looked normal. He even walked my yard and addressed a few concerns with sprinkler angles. I wasn't charged a cent. Meanwhile, a bill shows up in the mail from Rain King for the "service" they performed. This is what is written on the invoice. "Everything is working correctly. There is no head in the corner. Heads sprays into that corner." I wasn't hallucinating, there is indeed a sprinkler in the corner and it is leaking. They were kind enough to charge me $40 for this "service" though. There's a few absurd things about this but mostly if they had just rung the doorbell (I have a video doorbell and checked the history to make sure I didn't miss it) I could have easily told the service tech he was looking in the wrong place. I called Rain King and told them my grievances with being sent a bill that was absolutely unjustified, especially when there is no proof that anyone was actually here. They could have even been at the wrong house! I was told basically that I was wrong, they had indeed sent someone (that didn't address the issue), and oh by the way I "violated my warranty" when I had someone else look at it. What good would the warranty do when I was sent a bill? No apologies for confusion, nothing. The woman I spoke to should not be in a customer facing position, period. She told me she would have the owner call me to discuss the invoice. It gets better. I open my mailbox to find a notice from the water testing company that I am delinquent on my test and need to have it done ASAP. Time to call again! I'm told there was a mixup with the testing company and they will resubmit the test right away. That sounds like a lie. I'm half expecting...heck I'm definitely expecting another notice from the testing company at this point. To top off this turd sundae, I have not received a call from the "owner of the company" to discuss the invoice, and I just received another invoice stamped past due for the previous invoice. Avoid this company. Horrible communication, and horrible customer service.

    I heard the guys outside with the leaf blower and my window was open so I opened my blinds and went…read moreto close my window and the guy took the leaf blower and blew it through my window which dirt blew in my face cause I was standing about six seven inches away from my window and I was tapping the window I know he couldn't hear me but I knew he saw me because I moved the other side where there wasn't a screen and he continue to blow dirt through my window so then I went outside and I confronted him and said that I was only trying to be helpful and close my window but as soon as I open my blinds you blew the leaf blower of dirt and dust into my face into my eyes which are still burning so I went outside and I said something to him and he said well there were leaves in your window I understand that and I'm grateful for them for the cleanup but I'm not grateful for the fact that he completely disregard it and that he hurt my eyes I'm still flushing my eyes now this incident happened about an hour ago and I'm still taking water to flush my eyes I saw another guy approaching the work truck and asked for a business card he gave it to me and I told him that I was reporting his company for being unprofessionalism and assault pretty much with a leaf blower and he asked what happened I explained everything that happened and I said it will be nice just to get a sorry for blowing it hurt in your face but instead this guy just completed this recorded the fact that my eyes were burning and I was hurting and he had no care in the world so therefore I don't care for this company I take that bag it's not the company that did something I don't care for this guy because he didn't care about my well-being for him it's just nothing
