I'm all dressed up in Holiday clothing..., they wouldn't offer to help me carry it out curbside to my car - the yuca was packaged in a doggie-bag style styrofoam container with no seal and the garlic oil spilled all over my scarf and dress shirt! I couldn't believe it!, I went back in but no one would take care of me in the restaurant so I went to the front of the bodega where I found the manager. When I voiced my complaint about their lack of professionalism and courtesy all he could say (or do) is say "I'm sorry". These must be new owners bc they use to be really good, not now. I'll take my business to 90 Millas or somewhere else - consider yourselves forewarned..., Feliz Navidad and Merry Xmas to everyone!

The prices are pretty good, and they had lots of cheap specials. Clean and organized with everything looking fresh. It's certainly got Indian products, but there's a whole lot more, and good prices. This is located on Devon at Talman.

I will no longer be coming to this store. I have experience racism here. it's sad how a grocery store can be built from hate. studying the diversity rate at this job company . They really only hire non black people but to save themselves from cristism. therefore they will hire a few black people but majority of black females only because they are seem to be deem more less of a threat than a black man. My self as a black man been profile at this store by the owner , casheir and security guard to many times and as I started to realize I rather go shop somewhere really far that don't advocate racism than go to this grocery within my neighborhood that produce evil. To all my black folks out there that live in rogers park. your safety , your sanity isn't worth it at this store. we as black folks need to build our own grocery store because our money , our present is taken for granted at stores like these. Devon market and other stores like these think all black people steal which isn't accurate. white descent has the high rate of stealing because like who owns the banks ? who owns the building ? , who owns stolen land ? and so on.. so what makes you think white people pure in God's eye? and the store is bad for business overall...they sale expired food and again there racism is what embodies there store. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here for the past 3 years and have never had a bad experience. The produce and other specialty items are always fresh and are always priced lower than Jewel/Dominicks etc. The meat and cheese selection is pretty good. They carry my favourite real cheese (not the crap made by Kraft or some other conglomerate). The bakery is also great! They make great cheese pita, breads, and pastries! There is so much to love about this place. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. Very strange. They must only eat items out of boxes... read more

This place has the best Tres Leches cake I have ever tried! I bought a few slices for me and my family and we were amazed by how mouth-watering, delicious this cake was. I usually shop for cakes at Jewel Osco, but they really cant compete with Devon Market's bakery section. Aside from their baked goods, their beer and wine selection is outstanding. They have a lot of stuff you really cant find anywhere else and its great for beer/wine enthusiasts looking for new drinks to try. Loved this place, will be coming more often. read more

Like all of you checking reviews on YELP, I was looking for a good grocery store near my house, lucky me I found it "DEVON MARKET"! I hate shop groceries in large markets and I alway preferred to buy in places like Devon market, smaller cheaper and simply easier. DEVON MARKET is the right fit for your needs, it's very clean and fresh( meat, dairy, seafood, vegetables and fruits) They have an amazing bakery with many fresh homemade breads, cookies and more... Horrible I am handicapped no handicapped parking some 17 yr old and his buddy take the spot I was waiting for I park behind he threatens to cut my tires and me. The owner comes by and says I am bad for his business and to leave. OK let the kid buy his 40 oz and I will spend the grocery money for me, my wife and two kids and two cats elsewhere. And inside the cash register people refused to give the address when I called the police after the kid threatened to cut me and my tires. Will never go again. read more

gotta say love this place. with all those recent upgrades to serve their deal easier, it's now even more fun to stop by. I remember I walked in for the first time 3 months ago and I was looking for ginger tea, I just asked one of the cashiers if they have them. 5 minutes later she came to me with the ginger tea in her hand. This place is a true paradise! I love the sections that they have. The fresh juices, bread, sushi, deli and of course the produce. While walking in their produce section i feel like i am in an island full of freshness and beauty . A little paradise in Devon Avenue. They are having some sandwiches displayed at the front,,yummy ,,delicious.. And if you are a foreign in Chicago make sure to check their international aisles too. You are gonna be surprised . My friends told me about Devon market and the fact that they sell European food from Poland, Czech republic, Slovakia and more - i was pleasantly surprised. After shopping at Devon, i found some food that was worthwhile and some that was not so much. For example, i was not a big fan of their meat department. However, their European halva, Mango Lassi and yogurts were great!!! Fruits were very fresh! So i'll definitely come again! read more

This store is wonderful.. I have been living in edgewater for about a year and most of my groceries are done in this store..... Great meat and fresh fruits... The bread is always fresh and warm! Great for sandwiches! Also, the produce is good and cheap. Its nice that a neighborhood can have its own produce market. I love Jewel and Dominicks but cmon people you charge too damn much! The wine selections here are wonderful and low cost. I buy a bottle of chianti wine from here almost once a week. Great variety of international foods and shelf products. Check your receipt always for any price discrepancy. That's true for any store. Check the dates on the food you buy. Check careful on the dates of all the cold salads and deli. They remodeled the entrance and overall high quality products. read more
