I called in and spoke to Matt on reco as to whom would be a good pick since Karen wasn't on schedule for my friend's massage. Matt was so helpful, over communicated with all I needed to know; it was like speaking to an old friend... he was warm and friendly over the phone. I went to pay and use said discount and was told that because their gift cards can often be purchased through some sort of deal, I can't stack discounts. This, in theory makes sense, however, knowing that this gift card was not purchased at a discount, this seemed a bit strange (I guess there is no way for them to see that there was no discount applied to purchasing a gift card...). Anyway, I was disappointed in this, as I had booked mainly to be able to use this discount and there's no indication anywhere that says you can't use a gift card with it. Jake used a combination of techniques on me utilizing various sports stretches, hands on deep tissue massage, used cupping in which I can say i was unaccustomed to, and even got in using a massage gun.
